I'm sure some of you have at least heard and/or have played one of Namco's (Now NamcoBandai) greatest JRPG series know as "Tales of". These games have been known for their long hours of gameplay, battle systems, story line, and their soundtrack. This is a fan club dedicated to those great video games. Here you can talk about the games among yourselves, ask each other for help in the games, and anything else being related to them. Some of the Tales of Series have also been made into Anime(s) and Manga(s).

So do I. From the few I've played Tales of Symphonia is the best. Great Side quests, amazing story, and pretty good character development. Favorite characters are Llyode, Regel, Presea, Kratos/Zelos (Hard choice), & Sheena.

I agree with you there Taker. I mean I heard ToS: DotNW was actually suppose to be ALOT better but their time working on it was cut short so there weren't able to do what they really wanted to do. I do like the monster system that was in the game. It kind of sucks tho that you couldn't LvL up the Original Symphonia Characters.

Well thats because it takes place after Part 1. It was a new adventure in DotNW so of course it wouldn't have anything to do with the first game except for bringing back the old characters from the first game. It was a 30-50 Hour game depending if you did the side quests & enjoy raising your monsters, thats pretty long. ^^"

Tales of Symphonia was ALOT longer was well. I think the longest Tales game ever made. I spent like over 100 Hours so far in that game on my first playthrough.

I have never played the PS2 Tales games. (Didn't have a PS2 at the time). I'm going to try to see if my GameStop has them. I really want to play them `~(

I agree the Music in the Tales games is outstanding by far. They set the right tone for the scenes and battles. In the U.S. there is Tales of Legendia and Tales of the Abyss for the PS2. In Japan they have those 2 plus 4 more Tales games for the PS2.

Lets see Japan released ToS for the PS2 with some extras the GameCube version didn't have. They also have 3 DS Tales games over in Japan. Europe got a better version Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World. And the chances the us getting Tales of Graces is slim. `~(

I don't think we get the Manga either. They have the manga of Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Symphonia (First one), Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Innocense (1 of 3 DS Tales games), and Tales of Destiny.

Lloyd Irving is my favorite Tales character just because he uses Twin Blades as his weapon. The weapons they use in the games sometimes are very creative like Marta's Spinner weapon. `:P

Yup I got that game for the Wii. It's pretty awesome, one of the best JRPG we have for the Wii. Yeah it does have that Tales feel to it. I heard that Namco used some of the stuff from that game in Tales of Vesperia.

Tales of Symphonia is by far one of the best of the Tales series.
Yeah it is a very deep game, full of side quests and a story that pulls you in. I've spent over 100 hours just on one play through! Yeah the manga and anime are pretty good as well even if they don't go into great depth as the game does.

Well the only other ones I have played would be Tales of Phantasia for the GBA, Tales of the Abyss for the PS2, and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for the Wii. Those are very good so you could try those out. The other one for the PS2 Tales of Legendia I haven't played, but I would love to play it. ^^

I was lucky to find mine at Gamestop in the pre-owned section for about $19.99, with the case, booklet, and a disc still in very good condition.

Yeah I heard Europe has it worse with Tales games then the U.S. does. Namco should just release the ones they have in Japan. There profits would be SO MUCH better. >.<

You have to admit tho the scenes WITH Regal are pretty awesome. I think thats why in Dawn of the New World you get Regel early this time around, just so they build on his character more.

Well most HARD CORE fans were sad about how it came out, but to me it was an okay sequel to ToS. ToS is still leagues better then ToS2 to me, but there are SOME stuff that make ToS2 awesome as well.

As far as I know there hasn't been any news on a NA release for it for the PS3. Some people think it MIGHT be announced next week or so. But don't worry I'll keep everyone here updated on the news. If you want you can check the Tales Forums yourself. ^_^

I don't know either. It's sad tho since A LOT of Wii Only Owners were hoping it would, and most of them aren't going to buy a PS3 just for that game with the economy the way it is and all. Namco just cut it's sales by a lot if you ask me by making that move, and if the sales aren't THAT good... well then we might not get another Tales game I would imagine! 0.0 Even if it didn't have the so called "Extras" it would still be good to have it for the Wii in the U.S.. Well... at least TotA is coming to the 3DS (Even tho I heard it's just a direct port from the PS2 version.). The last JRPG for the Wii I'm looking forward to now is just XenoBlade. Lol. Hopefully it comes cause it looks amazing!!! >.<

Yeah I think most people like the 1st ToS over the 2nd.

My complaints over the 2nd ToS were the LvL caps on the Original ToS Characters, Not having Richter, Tenabrae, Alice, & Deos as maybe POSSIBLE permeant characters to play as, No Magic Lens/Collectors Book/Enemy Bios, No cooking for your human characters, and the stupid thing that you HAD to get the Good Ending to get the grade stop and stuff. Over all tho I still like the the 2nd game very much. I love the idea of having and raising monster(s). They did a decent conclusion to the ToS games.

Actually there is a sequel to ToS games and that is the Tales of Phantasia games. Lol. ^^"

No Problem. Hmm yeah I've played the Dragon Warrior/Quest games a bit. I've been playing Dragon Quest IX a lot lately on my DS. Love that game. XD I've never thought about making a FC for those games. I'm surprised no one has already. `:)

The only other ones I've really played are 1 & 2 for the GBC and Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 for the GBC. Thats cool. I've haven't gotten the chance to play the remakes of 4, 5, & 6 for the DS. Yeah DQ/DW games really bring back that old school rpg feeling. That's what I really like about them. The one for the PS2 was Number VIII.

Ehhh I kinda do, but I already what's coming out for the systems I own or will own. Tales of the Abyss 3D is the only game I'm interested in since Tales of Graces is only coming for the PS3. No way I'm buying a new system just for 1 game.

What I'm looking forward to most at E3 is what games will come out for the Wii before the Wii 2 comes out and takes focus. I REALLY REALLY want The Last Story, XenoBlade, and Pandora Tower to come out here. T.T

The Nintendo DS is region free! XD I own 2 Japanese Games for it already that I bought at a best buy. Lol. (Don't ask me why they had them but I got them both! XD). Yup there are 3 Tales games for the DS (Look at Post 1). Tales of Heart, Tales of Innocence, and Tales of the Tempest. I don't care how bad or good they are, I want them! >.<

Its not that the Wii doesn't have a lot of JRPGs, its more like MOST OF THE GOOD ONES ARE STILL JAPAN ONLY and have very little light getting localized.

Yeah it isn't. I mean like for example: XenoBlade was announced for a US localization at 2010 E3 for the Wii, but no date was announced. A few months ago it was announced for a Europe release as well, but they got a release date sorta. Now that the Wii 2 is going to be coming it's going to be interesting to see if this game is going to really be released. No date YET for the US. I'm hoping we get one from this E3

You must have spent HOURS grinding GRADE just to get 10x Experience. Lol. #3 Sword Dancer was actually easier for me then "what's his name" XD. I love the Cameo Fight at the area. It's my favorite of all fights besides the 1st fight you have against Kratos. ^^

If you plan on grinding, set your mode to mania and keep on fighting those Angels that you see in Mithos's castle. His castle should be located at the tower of salvation. You should get a lot by doing that.

Also, I kinda did hate Tales of Symphonia 2. It was not as great as part 1. We could use hi-ougis and all but there are some stuff I do not like, such as not having a long enough story and etc.
