Not a Giant Sand Burial in the Desert when there only 15f away.
See I kinda made it in favor or Garra because I don't like Kakuzu

Gaara wins no matter what. His ultimate Defense is stronger than Kakuzu's

location: the fire temple

distance: close range

in these conditions the first fight would probably be kakazu he has super strength and all five elements plus gaara without auto-sand isnt much of a close range fighter.

the second match is gaara without a doubt.
sorry i meant the opposite 1st gaara 2nd kakazu

Scenario 1: Most likely Gaara, but solely due to Shukaku's attacks.

Scenario 2: Kakuzu spams elemental attacks and kills Gaara. Gaara has very little chance of killing Kakuzu if he can hardly keep up with the elemental blasts, Gaara's sand will eventually falter. Heck, Kakuzu uses wind blasts to blow the sand away and uses fire blasts to fry Gaara.

The only flaw in your post is that basic Fuutons aren't going to casually blow away Gaara's condensed sand.

In the first match up, Kukazu survived simply by using iron skin with his earth seal. That would force Garra to try and bury him, and test the limits of Kukazu's skin. Gaara would then have to make a sand tsunami, and bury him. Gaara's only chances lies with the chakra in his sand disrupting Kukazu's earth defense, or using giant sand burial.

If Gaara could overcome this, he still have to deal with Kukazu's threads. That however could be countered by his skin made of sand. The main thing that would put wither of these fighters at risk, is Gaara using his sand fortress and Kukazu melding with his hearts to create elemental combination. The thing is, Kukazu would be slower and more cumbersome, but the sheer speed of his artillery could possibly break the sand defense?
I suggest this because only a small portion of sand is actually infused greatly with Gaara's chakra, so a few dozen fire and wind spheres should cut through it. The danger for Kukazu would come with the fact that Gaara can capture him easier since he is a sitting target and has no maneuverability. Couple this with the fact that Kukazu doesn't know where he is, and gaara can win.

Now, with the shukaku; the thread is a stomp. Without it's extra chakra, this is a good match up.

'Choosing the distance' is stupid. Its so much harder to debate with other people when they're debating under different conditions to you >_<

Anyway, Gaara is in the Desert. He Summons up huge Waves of Sand which crush and kill Kakuzu. This applies to both scenarios. More so in Scenario 1.

Can you both explain how Gaara's physical sand tsunami has the ability to beat Kukazu's earth seal defense?

It doesn't need to "crush him" pr say. Suffocation would do just as well. Once he gets under the sand tsunami he might not be getting crushed, but he still wont be strong enough to move in the sand. Suffocation will shortly follow.

I think the outcome and specs of this fight affect it greatly. For instance if kakuzu starts without his masks out, and in a setting that slightly favors gaara, he loses. However if both characters start in base in a neutral setting then i think this fight is going to kakuzu.

The amount of sand gaara carries without prep isnt enough to stop the onslaught of elemental spamming that kakuzu would bring. And i doubt gaara's sand would be able to do anything to kakuzu (due to its amount) before kakuzu would be able to release his masks and have them spam gaara to death.

I already had that point, but I am curious to know why anyone would disregard that Kukazu's earth seal has only been shown to be beaten by lightning.
