Filler and movie feats should be included!

Fillers are named Fillers because they are used to fill up the time while Kishimoto is writing the actual manga. Fillers aren't written by Kishi and therefor it doesn't actually happen.

Basically, what people are arguing is that if it happened in a movie or in a filler, then it is not canon. It did not actually happen in the series made by the original author/creator, so it did not actually happen. And if it isn't canon, then it isn't relevant to debates. The character did not actually perform said attack, meet said character, etc. etc.

It makes for a much neater debate. Not everyone watches filler and non-canon epps. Plus you don't have people coming in with inconsistent filler data that would skew an otherwise easy to determine matchup.

In short, good luck, but I doubt this is going to happen.

Seriously though, fillers aren't written by the creator of the series, so I don't take them as canon, and not everyone watches the anime (I don't, for instance). It just makes things more complicated.

Exactly, if you were to read the watch the anime and not watch the non canon fillers, it would be the same exact thing as the manga. In the manga and after fillers do you ever see anyone referencing to the filler arcs?

I just think of them as fanfics written by the people that make the anime. They're pretty much the same as anything a youtube search will throw up broadcast on TV.

You just contradicted yourself, why put something that wasn't in the real manga, which the original creator drew, put allow people to use it in a debate. Theoretically, Fillers didn't even happen.

Manga is the author's work. Therefore true canon source of material.

Anime is merely an adaptation of the studio. Therefore the studio can do what they want with it in the end. Which bears no link with Kishimoto in general.

However, the chances of you getting the standard of non-canon feats banned overturned? Highly doubtful. Here in the BG, it is a standard that only official feats are used, from the creator's work.

Movie/Filler feats are only allowed from characters of said arcs or if one allows characters to use those given feats. However, they aren't a part of the original storyline and therefore cannot be considered as official parts of the series.

Filler should be included, but only if it actually happened. For example:
In Manga fight between Temari and Tenten was never shown. In anime, you could see their fight because it happened. That is an example of canon filler.

No they shouldn't because your just unhappy about one of your favorite characters having a non-filler feat and you want him/her to be stronger. Also the original creator has nothing to do with it so basically anything besides the magna is fan made.

Noncanon feats should only be accepted if the character/weapon/mecha in question is from a non-canon source.

Fillers are not Canon,and therefore not part of the actual Naruto series-meaning they aren't actually relevant to debates.There are quite a lot of good filler feats for some of the lesser seen characters like Hinata and Ino which I wish were Canon.But they aren't so..

Also-a lot of people hate fillers because of their habit of doing 'Talk No Jutsu' through a lot of their episodes. I personally like fillers, wish I could say the same for the movies though; because they really do suck .
