Gaara has his gourd to carry his chakra-filled sand whenever he goes. He doesn't mind carrying it despite its size. It could be nice to get and buy Gaara's gourd if it existed in stores.

I'm sure you could find a gourd like his if you just looked for it. It's just a piece of pottery made from sand. Nothing fancy.

I guess that you could find a use for Gaara's gourd if you have it. Using it as a back pack sounds fine to you. Creativity is a fun thing with Gaara's gourd.
