Sasuke abused Chidori's power for his personal business, and Kakashi didn't know he'd leave and go crazy. Kakashi taught him Chidori to protect the ones he cared about, and Sasuke didn't listen, so he's the one we should be blaming.

But Danzo wanted them all dead, but Itachi threatened him. Madara was probably indifferent. Besides it's Sai's fault for not finishing off Sasuke when he had the chance.

I'm just being tongue-in-cheek to point out the foolishness of blaming Kakashi for teaching Sasuke the chidori. I'm sure Orochimaru could have taught Sasuke any number of deadly jutsu even if Kakashi didn't teach Sasuke chidori.

Gaara said, when he met Sasuke, that Sasuke had eyes like his. "Eyes that seek power and will do anything to get it, even kill." Kakashi didn't heed that little tidbit. Oro also said that Sasuke was an avenger, and that Sasuke would seek him out. Kakashi didn't listen. Plus, it's no secret that Sasuke was power hungry, and Kakashi just fed that hunger by teaching Sasuke Chidori.

Sasuke was also arrogant, and never neglected to hold himself over his comrades. And Kakashi feeds his ego by training him at the expense of his other students, and teaching him something that, as far as anyone knew at the time, his other students could never live up to. Kakashi fed Sasuke's ego, and chose to let Sasuke do what he wanted, and gave him whatever he wanted. Kakashi has a tendency to do that with whatever student he' favoring at tthe time. He'll follow that around, and invest all his time, attention & advice into them, while ignoring others. In part one, it was him favoring Sasuke over Naruto & Sakura. In Shippuden, it was Naruto over Sakura.

It is not Kakashi's fault that Sasuke went rouge. Like the person stated above me, Kakashi taught Chidori to Sasuke in hopes of protecting him from Orochimaru. Unfortunately, I think teaching Sasuke the Chidori only added to his thirst for power.
