Why Is Naruto Shippuden's music so bad ?

hi everyone,

Since i watch naruto shippuden i expected to have the beautiful naruto's music.
However, it seems that the staff has decided to change the compositor (Yasuharu Takanashi instead of Toshiro Masuda (the greatest)).

My question is : Why this change ??
Why leaving shippuden with a bad soundtrack ? Why do they want to make shippuden one the worst anime ?


I'm a fan of naruto so explain me please !

While the original Naruto soundtrack is pretty well done, I definitely think Shippuden's is better. Personally, I think that the Shippuden soundtrack has a deeper, more mature sound in general than the original soundtrack which has more upbeat, peppy songs. (It's taking me forever to think of the best adjectives to describe what I'm thinking. I'm sorry if I don't really make sense.) But, yeah, personally I like Shippuden's music better.

I like the Shippuden music, especially Yuukimaru's theme song!

However, what might be cool would be to bring back some of the old songs, but with a twist. Like picking up the bpm on some of the slower songs and make them actiony songs, or use different instruments or something! Then you could mix the old with the new! :D

Yeah I'll agree with this. From the original Naruto soundtrack there were only a couple winning songs that I'd like for them to keep. A lot of it was just wayyy too cheesy-electronic.

I don't know...I think some parts are, (But I shouldn't talk, cause I certinaly couldn't do better!;)) but only really in some fillers.


And in "special" episodes like ones with big battles, for example the Sasuke vs Orochimaru battle in the Forest of Death and the battles with Hidan and Kakuzu, I thought the animation was amazing and made the fight(s) look natural and reallyawesome!!:mrgreen:

The music is terrible! It makes me want to rip my ears out so I won't hear it. I don't even watch the OP or ED anymore, I just skip right to scenes. The original Naruto had much better music. I'm not a fan of Japanese music myself to begin with because, first, I don't completely understand what they are saying, and second because the music just sounds too forced, most Japanese musicians can't even sing let alone play their instruments to a reasonable melody. If it actually SOUNDED good, I would listen to it regardless of what they were singing about. Even though I'm not a fan, I will still listen to a few songs that I like. I won't JUST listen to it's music and like it because it was an Naruto OP or ED song. Ugh!

I totally agree, as generally stated, Shippuden music isn't bad but it doesn't have the charm the first series had.

The newer songs is missing a lot of the old classical Japanese instruments, imo ofc, and it just feels a little lacking. It might also be the fact that they keep on repeating songs that I don't have any attachment to but meh.

Here's some examples of why the first season's music was better than the second's.

I do recommend on clicking a few of them since i DID spend the time to find them :p Damn the two songs in the first link 30, and 4:45 almost brought a tear to my eyes XD
Even if you shippuden music lovers still like the newer music better, hopefully you guys can see why quite a few of us feel that the music is different, at least enough to call it out.
Oh man that last one, confrontment, really brings back memories.

EDIT: heh spelling, also, I was able to pull Asuma's death scene, although the quality isn't that great, they still use the older "sad" songs from the first series

I just feel like there isn't anything strikingly good in shippuden. Feel free to correct me, link some shippuden songs that you think are extremely powerful that can bring ppl to tears.

But, I have to Agree with everyone else the music from shippuden is great. Yea their might be 1 bad song. Yea i'm not going to lie, I do miss some of the old japanese music.

That is the song that made everyone cry, and brought emotions to the entire series.
Everytime someone died, that song played. It made everyone who watched it.. a little sadder.
If they took that out, that was a major mistake.
