Kakashi was often talking about the next generation surpassing the current one. I wouldn't be suprised if kishimono kills him. It would make a lot of sense and lead the story into an interesting place. But at the same time i dont want him to die.He was a great character and taught Naruto a lot, but I think Naruto has pretty much learned everything he can from Kakashi.

Nagato revives him in chapter 449 coming out this friday. Look @ spoilers for proof. Unfortunaly that means Nagato had to die... :(

I don't think that's likely....I don't believe Kakashi is strong enough to replace Tsunade. Orochimaru said that Kabuto is probably the same strength as Kakashi, which means he isn't quite saanin-level.

Remember people, Anime Rule #1 if there's a character that's way too cool to die, it either A) he/she won't die until the very end of the show(final episode wise) or B) in the case they do die before the last episode, there will ALWAYS be some way to bring said character back to life. Always. Period.

This is exactly what happened.
Kakashi and Pein had a fight and Pein killed Kakashi. Then Naruto fought the 6 Peins, then once he defeated them he located the true Pein, Nagato. Then him and Nagato had a talk on what peace really is and then Nagato gave his life to revive everyone he had killed in the destruction of the Leaf Village (including Kakashi).
