Gaara VS Kakuzu

I say Kakuzu wins this. I fail to see how Gaara will manage to kill Kakuzu 5 times. Iron Skin will allow Kakuzu to tank most of Gaara's attacks, if he somehow can't dodge them. I doubt Gaara can block all of Kakuzu's powerful blasts with his sand alone, on top of that Kakuzu might be able to use his threads to grab and pull Gaara, leaving him extremely vulnerable.

I'm pretty sure Kakuzu takes this, I doubt Gaara can tank constant elemental blasts and kill Kakuzu 5 times.

Well, Rocklee, you beat me to it again.

But I'll restate it.

I fail to see how Kakuzu loses.

Gaara may be able to take out Kaku once. He couldn't take out Kimimmaro and Kaku could easily take out Kimimmaro with the Iron Skin that he posseses.

Iron skin tanks the Sand.

Kakuzu could chakra branch with those threads of his kinda like Lee does with his Lotus leaving Gaara helpless, steal heart and done.

This one is definitely Kakuzu.

The Water blast from the deadend heart, which is alive in this battle, would most definitely fire a blast strong enough to rip through the sand, if not severely damage it. That with a lightning blast, would probably obliterate Gaara where he stands. No matter how much sand he attempts to build up.

A fire blast would burn the sand to a crisp, the wind would simply blow directly through the sand with the power it's shown. With one wind blast it would be consideribly easy for Kakuzu to slip directly in and kill Gaara relatively easily.

Honestly, any large scale attack from any of the elemental hearts would kill Gaara.

Even if they can block most of them, a dual attack from water and lightning would obliterate Gaara. The water weakens the sand, and lightning travels with the water, seeing how earth is weak against it, it stomps.

It wouldn't be hard for Kakuzu to simply blast once, distracting Gaara and then slip in behind with 3 other hearts. There's no way Gaara is dodging a large scale attack, with the other 3 hearts and Kakuzu rushing at the same time.

If Gaara makes a seal, Kakuzu fires his tenticles and kills him.

Not to mention it only took one manga pic to release his hearts, somewhat foreshadowing the fact he can release them relatively quickly.

Kakuzu is also transonic, he kept up with Kakashi, meaning sprinting would easily negate and counter any sand attacks.

With pure strength and speed feats alone, he could probably charge directly at Gaara, firing his tenticles and eventually getting close enough to land a killer power punch, ending the battle on contact.

True, I still don't see him having any problems simply attacking with tentacles and speed rushing with Iron Skin.

Not sure if Gaara's reaction speed with sand can be considered on a transonic level. Even so, Kakuzu can indeed tank many attacks from Gaara, and punch directly through his sand shield if he gets into range, which should kill him.

Basically, Kakuzu has Iron Skin protection, 6 lives, better speed/reaction feats and destructive ability capable to bust through stone and cement walls. He also has ranged tentacles which have shown impressive speed and accuracy.

I don't see the need for hearts, honestly.

Iron Skin would negate crushing damage from sand attacks seeing as he can activate it quickly.

His taijutsu speed is transonic+ and his taijutsu prowess is pretty good so dodging sand would be relatively easy for him.

Having all those hearts with the different elements also gives him the upper hand..especially the Fire-Wind Combo.

All in all Gaara would have a lot of trouble with this...levitation wouldn't even save him due to Kakuzu's long ranged mode (he can fly/glide) and his hearts or can fly too.

Only way I could see Gaara winning was if he used his sand to get inside of Kakuzu's body and crush his hearts that way..which is highly unlikely.

Kakuzu being stronger than Deidara is plausible but not Kisame.

Kisame's Water Dome annihilates Kakuzu's elemental blasts.

Kakazu is a puppet type with his five puppets I think. So Gaara could easily destroy them with his sand.
