She somewhat had a use because when she was held hostage by danzo it was the only chance Sasuke could stab him... So danzo and karin looked like a barbecue... naaahhh... No battle screentime =/= Completely useless. Karin is extremely useful, more useful than people give her credit for. Sure she doesn't fight, but guess who else doesn't fight?

Hinata. Sakura. Konan. Anko. Kurenai. Ino. Tenten. Temari. Tsunade. Karin is a female like the rest of them. Do they get much battle screentime, if any? No. :| Hinata's more popular, but she's actually kind of more useless than Karin. And I'm a Hinata fan and I know this.

I'm still on the part of her dying and stuff, since I read this other thread where this guy had a reasonable explanation of why she was still alive. Then that led people to believe that she's going to be found by Sakura and taken to the leaf. I don't know if you read this thread or not, but I suggest you do, though it's not necessary.
