Kimmimaro has more feats, but by hype Yamato is stronger. Howerver, a healthy Kimi could, based on what Tenzo has shown, have the advantage in CS2 (kimi is sonic+, and Tenzo has not shown speed on that level), and seedling ferns could probably kill Tenzo even with his mukaton

I'm gonna go with Kimi.
Considering Kimi could probably dodge all of the ranged wood ninjutsu in CS2.
His powerscaling shots are powerful enough to destroy the wood with the swing of his tail, and his seeding fern cannot be countered, the bones are stronger then steel Kimimaro claimed. If Caught, Kimi could also release bones out of every part of his body, chopping through the wood and freeing himself in CS1.
Steel > Wood

yamato wins with his wood style jutsus and yamatos wood style could be long range jutsus

kimi stomps yamato do 2 his bone being harder than steel as where Yamato just has plain maybe harder than usual wood.

tamato wins with his wood style jutsus and yamatos wood style could be long range jutsus
Since when is tomato a living person? and since when did it start fighting as a ninja? xDDDD /kidding.
Anyway, I'd say Kimimaro wins due to better speed feats however Yamato is supposed to be really strong and near Kakashi's level so I'm gonna go with Yamato due to hype.

this is a tough one im going to go with...... um..... ..... yamto only cuz he think he has more justus up his selve than kimi

Yamato would attempt to capture rather than kill at first, and Kimimaro wouldnt hold back. If the fight lasted too long, Kimimaro would go 2nd stage curse and rip up the wood no problem. Even Yamatos earth and water styles wouldnt stand against the Kaguya Keikegenkai.

Kimimaru would only win if he was not sick like he was against Rock Lee. If he wasnt sick he would be difficult to beat because of CM2, his Kekkai Genkai, and his speed

Alright, I know anyone looking at this is going to see my Yamato avatar and think I'm a bit biased, but I'm not one of those immature, obsessed fans. I will say however that I think Yamato can win this.
Speed isn't everything here, besides, the speed of Yamato's jutsus appear to be faster than Yamato himself. He can use them to supplement his movement.
And the whole "steel is stronger than wood" thing seems kind of bogus to me. Yamato utilizes earth jutsu just as well as wood and we can't assume that in his sickly state Kimimaro's bones are just as strong as they were in his prime or that we can take his words as fact in the first place.
I will agree that Kimimaro is very strong and that there isn't too much evidence pointing towards a Yamato victory. However, Yamato has a wide range of attacks, especially long range attacks that allow him to stay out of the range of Kimimaro's superior taijutsu. Kimimaro does have some ranged attacks but I believe that Yamato's Wood/Earth style defensive jutsus can block or at least slow down Drilling Finger Bullets and can keep him out of the way of the Dance of the Seedling Fern (Yamato moves up using wood/earth style). Another example of Yamato's diverse skills that could give him the edge here is the wood clone, which can be used to divert Kimimaro's attention or as substitutes.
The main argument here is Yamato's ability to stay out of the way of Kimimaro's taijutsu.
