Tailed Beast confusion???

When the Shukaku is finished being sealed, the third eye of the statue is filled, which means a total of 3 tailed beasts have been captured, when the 2 tails cat is captured, pain says there are 4 tailed beasts left, when Sasuke joins Akatsuki, Kisame says there are three tailed beasts remaining even though they have captured the three and four tail beasts....how does any of that make sense and who were the first 2 tailed beasts to be sealed before Shukaku??

It just dosn't make sense. I don't exactly remember the two tailed sealing scene, but I don't remember Pain saying anything about how many were left. I assumed that Gaara was sealed first, then the 2 tails, then 3, then 4, then 5, then 7, then 6(crazy filler arc messing with the story).

I didn't understand why some many of the statue's eyes were open. It doesn't make sense. Unless someone can give a better explaination, I think this is just one of those plothole/screw ups on the animators part.

well if the 6 tails filller is a flashback of the time when they caught it as opposed to a present ongoing scene, then it wud make sense

3 Tailed Giant Turtle (3 tails filler arc) Captured by unknown means and sealed
4 Tailed Monkey- Kisame captured and it was sealed
5 Tailed dolphin horse- Captured by Akatsuki and Sealed
6 Tailed slug- (Upcoming flashback filler) Was captured by Akatsuki and sealed already
7 tailed Horned Beetle- Was captured by Akatsuki and sealed
8 Tailed Ox- Killer Bee is still alive
9 Tailed fox- Naruto is still alive


All beasts but two have been sealed. I think that Kisame stating they had three left was a mistake or a hint that a filler was coming up. Or a possible hint at Madara's Moon's Eye plan for the 10-tailed beast, however I am probably wrong on this one.

The 6 tails filler arc is a flashback at which the ending will include his capture and sealing.

The eyes on the statue also play no part in terms of order of being sealed it seems. Like you said the 1 tailed being sealed opened the 3rd eye on the statue.

what does naruto searching for sasuke have to do with this?

I mean because he was so busy searching for him that he had no chance to go meet the 6 tails Jinchurinki.....I think you see Naruto in the preview to episode 144 at the end of 143

yea naruto is there but it doesnt mean he doesnt have time to do other things. in the time after he met sasuke at oro's hideout and before sasuke absorbed him, he wasnt searching for sasuke.

Yes but he was fighting Kakuzu, then in the three tails arc, and then after that he searched for Sasuke.....

so they set it after the 3 tails arc and before orochimaru died, since they didnt start looking for him again until they found out orochimaru died. although it is strange that they chose to locate itachi when they had no clue where he might be...

you know which episode he said that? because they captured 2 bijuus before gaara and gaara had the 1 tail. im pretty sure they just have to capture the kyuubi last

yea they dont always show the scenes where they seal every single bijuu but the characters usually let us the audience know thru dialogue if they did it or not

heres my opinion on it
I hope this clears some stuff up for you guys
I believe when they capture Gaara and seal him
that they had already captured the 5 and 7 tails and sealed them
and thats why the 3rd eye opened
I know some of you say that "ohh they have to be sealed in order"

this isn't exactly true, they don't need to be sealed in order, only the 9-tails has to be sealed last because its soooo powerful that it needs to balance the power of the other 8
