Don't Tell me your going to try and fight Magmar with Bulby. I think you should practice with Fira first since she was the won who beat Magmar. Bulby should evolve first. Nico evolved Charmander for that same reason to beat Magmar.
Who is fira? And besides, i got teh power of youth :cool:

Fira Flame Wheel then Fire Fang on Bulby *Fira starts spinning then flames start appearing then Fira spins dead-on at Bulby, hits it and Then Bites Bulby with Fire Fang*

(My 1st Gym Battle)
(Dratini VS Magmar)
*steps up to stadium* Alright Dratini i chose you! *i throw my pokeball and dratini comes out*
"Oooh a Dratini, eh? Go Magmar!" Blaze threw his Pokemon and Magar appeared from a red light.
Alright Dratini use Dragon Rage! *dratini shoots out a bunch of fire looking shock waves in the color of purple and yellow out of his mouth and aims it at magmar*
"Dodge and use Confuse Ray!" Magmar jumped away from the attack and at Dratini, releasing a mystical purple mist from it's hands.
Dratini use Thunder Wave to counter it! *a jolt of electricity serges from dratinis body, it breaks the confusion ball and is heading strait twords magmar*
Magmar dodged, but the surge attacked Magmar anyway. "Mag!" "Magmar, use Faint Attack!" Magmar disappeared, before appearing behind Dratini and hitting it.
*Befor magmar made contact with his attack the efect of Thunder wave kicked in and magmar was parlyzed* "quick while magmar is parlyzed use Slam!" *Dratini quickly turned around and slamed into magmar*
Magmar just barely managed to move and grab Dratini''s tail at the last second. It swung it around and accidentally threw it too soon as the paralysis got him some.
dratini! ..... gah! id exspect no less from a gym leader. Dratini can you still fight? *dratini gets up* alright. go dratini use water pulse while magmar cant move! *dratini quickly makes a huge sphere of water over his mouth and shoots it, it rages tword magmar*
"Heat Wave!" ".....Ma..g..." He couldn't move, and was knocked back by the Water Pulse. It got up and fired a heat wave at a wide radius.
(Magikarp VS Magmar)
*dratini gets hit* Dratini!!.... "thoughts: that was a high level move, dratini defenetly cant go on." dratini return. *dratini returns to its pokeball* sigh.... "thoughts: it shouldnt take much more. that water pulse was super efective, plus it made severil puddles on the arena witch is good on my part." alright. GO Magikarp! *magikarp comes from pokeball* Magikarp us splash! then follow it up with takle! magikarp uses a puddle to splash water in magmars eyes, and out of the water from the splash magikarp used a tackle*
Magmar quickly rubbed it's eyes. "Use Fire Punch!" Magmar's fist started flaming and it punched the Magikarp.
*Magikarp is hit and goes flying back, but is ok* "thoughts: magikarp is very week now and only has the strength for one move left, this is good..." alright magikarp FLAIL! *magikarp charges up to magmar*
"Mag!" It gets hit, sent backward. "Magmar no! Can you get up?" "..........................................." "Guess not....You win." Blaze held up the Flame Badge and tossed it at Daniel.
*catches badge* YES!!! ^^ good job magikarp! you deserve a nice rest return *magikarp returns to pokeball* thanks for the badge! *i receved a small orange and yellow hand book (with magmar on the cover breathing fire) on teaching your pokemon Fire Blast

lets do this.
Go Jynx.
Go Dratini. use Water Pulse! *a great ball of water forms from Dratini's mouth and shoots tword jynx*
Jynx use Ice Beam on the Water Pulse and then Double Slap to break it. *Ice Beam hits the target freezes it and Double Slap breaks it* Now use Ice Beam on Dratini, then follow up with Ice Punch
Dratini use Dragon Rush to counter it. *Dratini uses Dragon Rush, it overpowers the ice beam and heads twords Jynx*
Jynx use Blizzard then Use Lovely Kiss *Blizzard overpowers Dragon Rush then Lovely Kiss makes Dratini drowsy*
Dratini quick use Thunder wave! *dratini shoots a jolt of electricity twords Jynx then falls asleep*
Jynx shake it off and use Ice Punch
*Jynx attaks but befor she could get to Dratini the effects of Thunder Wave kick in and Jynx is paralysed* whew... close one. Dratini use Sleep Talk. *Dratini while sleeping uses a move at random. he ends up using Iron Tail his tail glows and he hits Jynx, soon after Jynx's Paralyses weres off* yes! Steel is super effective!
Jynx use Rest. *Jynx uses Rest then wakes up due to Chesto Berry* Now Jynx use Shadow Ball then Brick Break
(Seadra VS Jynx)
"Thoughts: Crap!... no less than i'd expect from a gym leader using a chesto berry like that. clever." Dratini use Sleep Talk Again! *but it was to late Dratini Faints* You did great dratini Return. *Dratini returns to pokeball* sigh all that and Jynx is perfectly fine. Go Seadra. Use Dragon Pulse! *Seadra uses Dragon Pulse*
Jynx use Ice Beam *Jynx uses Ice Beam to cancel Dragon Pulse* Now use Brick Break
Seadra use Smokescreen! *seadra uses smokescreen, Jynx loses site of seadra and misses, Seadra hides in the smokescreen* while your hiding use Rain Dance and focus energy. *he uses focus energy then it begins to rain* "thoughts: Seadra should know what to do"
Jynx use Ice Beam and aim it at the clouds *Jynx does so and it starts to hail* Jynx now use Blizzard *Jynx does so due to the hail Blizzard's attack power is ramped up and doesn't miss*
"Thoughts: well. that sucks. i was planing on using the rain to make seadra go faster, but here goes nothing." *the wind from the blizzard blows away the smokescreen, it hits Seadra head on!... but the seadra disapears* Use Flash cannon! *befor Jynx knowtist seadra was secretly behind her, it takes a direct hit! Jynx is KOed*
allow me to explain what just happend, since i knew i'd be goinig up against an ice type i took the liberty of teaching a few of my pokemon steel moves (like Dratini's iron tail) while Seadra was hiding in the smokescreen after using Focus energy and rain dance he used sustisute witch allowed him to sacrifice 1/4th of his HP so that your next move (the blizzard) would hit a substitute the rain dance was for seadras speed to rise so it would hit without fail [even though the rain dance didnt work out the way i planed] (also thanks to the substitute Jynx was clules and distracted of what she thought to be seadra while the real seadra used the smokescreen to get behind Jynx) all of this was practiced befor hand after using smokescreen, focus energy and raindance seadra knew that he should use a substitute and get behind the enemy, well what im saying is Fucus Energy makes a critical hit x2 plus seadras abilaty Sniper witch makes all critical hits x3 insted of x2 and since Flash Cannon is steel its super effective witch means x2 so its x5 in all that is an Extremley powerful move.

(Which pack do you use most, which is the best, which ones are ok, and which ones are the worst?
I swear, the Defense Pack in Dusk is horrible. Kurasarimon and Keramon are extremely common in the Magnetic Quarry. And while the Pretty Pack has good Digimon, it seems kind of.....sexist or saying that only females should play Dusk...
And Dawn seems to give more variety. In Dusk only the balance gives a Machine, which you can't even get without taking the Bombernanimon line and Solarmon sucks...)

(My most used is actually the Pretty Pack, though I've only restarted officially about 4 times. Then I like the Balance then Attack, but.....UGH Defense sucks! I like that the Pretty Pack offers more EXP because of Lillymon and Pandamon's Lucky3 traits. Even though Palmon isn't very good, she always picks up as Togemon then is great as Lillymon while Kuma/Bearmon is good but slows down a little by the time I get Pandamon. When I had Attack, though, I made....Shamamon I think it was? Into Gabumon because there's no way in hell I'm gonna have WereGarurumonBlack just to have it become Gulfmon, so I had Metalgarurumon before I restarted.
My final team depends on the pack, but I always have Lilithmon, Dianamon, and Seraphimon. I only made it to the Gaia Origin with Balance before I got bored, though Alphamon was awesome, and I got bored at Proxy Island with Attack. I stopped after like the first quest with Defense. Because it sucks. If I get Pretty, I also have BantyoLeomon and RosemonBM, since I always make Lillymon into Rosemon with DNA Digivolve with Madadormon before I fight Chas/ExoGrimmon. When I had Balance, I had DotMirageGaomon because of it's awesome traits, and Alphamon.
I'm currently using Pretty and have Dianamon, Grizzmon (Just degenderated Pandamon from lvl 64), Lilamon (Had to degenerate from Rosemon due to Max level), Vilemon (Same as Lila and Grizz, except from LadyDevimon), and DotFalcomon, because I always get it to abuse it's Lucky Gods trait. I always get Pagumon when I play, and because of digivolving/degenerating so much between Imp, Vile, and LadiDevimon, she's always the strongest member of my team, too hard to kill even by bosses due to high defense without any armor. Too bad Defense never got that good. Horrible.
Edit: Oh yeah, I also always have LucemonCM and/or Daemon too....I refuse to call it Creepymon.)

so as you can see, our best bet is grass and water. i would sujest water but that might be to obviouse for our enemy, he could have tought his pokemon some attacks to counter water moves. but still... ive checked and you guys cant learn any grass moves. soo we'll just have to cross our fingers and hope for the best, in the mean time since half of you are water types we'll be practicing our water type moves and of course i'll teach you some ice moves using the hand book i got from the last gym. alright everyone lets get to training! oh and we'll head to virmillion city in the mourning.

(Oops, sorry. I've been freaking out over the newest chapter Dx.

(Yeah, I use my starter just so i don't have to raise another of the same type. I harldy ever have an electric. Water, Flying, Bug, Ground/Rock, Ice, and Dark/Fighting Types are usually what I use)

"Oooh a Dratini, eh? Go Magmar!" Blaze threw his Pokemon and Magar appeared from a red light.
Alright Dratini use Dragon Rage! *dratini shoots out a bunch of fire looking shock waves in the color of purple and yellow out of his mouth and aims it at magmar*
"Dodge and use Confuse Ray!" Magmar jumped away from the attack and at Dratini, releasing a mystical purple mist from it's hands.
Dratini use Thunder Wave to counter it! *a jolt of electricity serges from dratinis body, it breaks the confusion ball and is heading strait twords magmar*
Magmar dodged, but the surge attacked Magmar anyway. "Mag!" "Magmar, use Faint Attack!" Magmar disappeared, before appearing behind Dratini and hitting it.
*Befor magmar made contact with his attack the efect of Thunder wave kicked in and magmar was parlyzed* "quick while magmar is parlyzed use Slam!" *Dratini quickly turned around and slamed into magmar*
Magmar just barely managed to move and grab Dratini''s tail at the last second. It swung it around and accidentally threw it too soon as the paralysis got him some.
dratini! ..... gah! id exspect no less from a gym leader. Dratini can you still fight? *dratini gets up* alright. go dratini use water pulse while magmar cant move! *dratini quickly makes a huge sphere of water over his mouth and shoots it, it rages tword magmar*
"Heat Wave!" ".....Ma..g..." He couldn't move, and was knocked back by the Water Pulse. It got up and fired a heat wave at a wide radius.

Go Dratini. use Water Pulse! *a great ball of water forms from Dratini's mouth and shoots tword jynx*
Jynx use Ice Beam on the Water Pulse and then Double Slap to break it. *Ice Beam hits the target freezes it and Double Slap breaks it* Now use Ice Beam on Dratini, then follow up with Ice Punch
Dratini use Dragon Rush to counter it. *Dratini uses Dragon Rush, it overpowers the ice beam and heads twords Jynx*
Jynx use Blizzard then Use Lovely Kiss *Blizzard overpowers Dragon Rush then Lovely Kiss makes Dratini drowsy*
Dratini quick use Thunder wave! *dratini shoots a jolt of electricity twords Jynx then falls asleep*
Jynx shake it off and use Ice Punch
*Jynx attaks but befor she could get to Dratini the effects of Thunder Wave kick in and Jynx is paralysed* whew... close one. "Thoughts: well. that sucks. i was planing on using the rain to make seadra go faster, but here goes nothing." *the wind from the blizzard blows away the smokescreen, it hits Seadra head on!... but the seadra disapears* Use Flash cannon! *befor Jynx knowtist seadra was secretly behind her, it takes a direct hit! Jynx is KOed*
allow me to explain what just happend, since i knew i'd be goinig up against an ice type i took the liberty of teaching a few of my pokemon steel moves (like Dratini's iron tail) while Seadra was hiding in the smokescreen after using Focus energy and rain dance he used sustisute witch allowed him to sacrifice 1/4th of his HP so that your next move (the blizzard) would hit a substitute the rain dance was for seadras speed to rise so it would hit without fail [even though the rain dance didnt work out the way i planed] (also thanks to the substitute Jynx was clules and distracted of what she thought to be seadra while the real seadra used the smokescreen to get behind Jynx) all of this was practiced befor hand after using smokescreen, focus energy and raindance seadra knew that he should use a substitute and get behind the enemy, well what im saying is Fucus Energy makes a critical hit x2 plus seadras abilaty Sniper witch makes all critical hits x3 insted of x2 and since Flash Cannon is steel its super effective witch means x2 so its x5 in all that is an Extremley powerful move.

Daniel: *Charmeleon swings claws but nidooking dodges backwards then swings around with tail, Charmeleon jumps up and avoids the tail but is left open to ice punch and is hit but stands strong and by leaning back managed to get under nidoking and make a critical hit with dragon claw up nidokings belly* Yes now use Strength to finish it! *while under nidoking charmeleon picked him up and tossed him extremely far*
Grunt: Gah!? ... i knew it was strong... but not this strong... alright you beat me, but now that i know how strong that charmeleon is, i'll be back! *runs away*
