(Now, I've noticed some questions going around here. I'll clear up some things:


Abilities: Abilities are in use here, and use them how they are and what their descriptions say. For example, Torrent powers up the user's Water-type moves when it's stamina gets low, right? It can apply here, when, and ONLY when the Pokemon with an ability such as that gets low on energy, it's moves of that ability's type will be powered up. DP Adventures makes the best example on how abilities can be used by the Pokemon with them. Hareta has a Piiplup. Whenever Piplup becomes weak, it's Torrent ability powers up it's Water-type moves drastically, like when it uses Brine, it's force is much strong and it's radius is much bigger. When it uses Surf with Torrent is in effect, it can cause a huge wave. A Pokemon may use both of it's abilities if it's a Pokemon with a chance of having 2 different ones.


Tactics/Strategies: These can be what determines whether or not you win or lose a battle. DPAdventure and Pokemon Special/Adventures are the best examples of using a Pokemon's moves, abilities, and special traits in battle to the trainer's advantage. What I mean by special traits are what are unique to that Pokemon, usually found within a Pokemon's Pokedex entry. Examples of battle strategies utilizing everything a Pokemon has to offer can be found within DPA. One time is when Hareta was fighting Mitsumi in the Galactic HQ, at the beginning he took advantage of the smoke caused by Infernape to bring out Kadabra and use it's Skill Swap to switch abilities witth Regigigas to get rid of it's Slow Start so it could fight at full power. Use your surroundings to your advantage as well. Another time was during Hareta's battle against Roark. He used Pound to deflect Cranidos' attacks to protect itself. Then when it kept getting beaten, Piplup acted like it was out of enegry only to surprise attack with Bide from inside of a sand/dirt mound which beat Cranidos due to all the damage Piplup had sustained, but it was out of evergy resulting n a tie until it ate an Oran Berry it was given at the last minute.

Read DPA. I highly recommend it if you're looking for examples of strategy, a good storyline, characters, and comedy. The rps are somewhat based on the anime, but it's most the mangas that these follow.


Moves: You can have up to 6-7 moves. This is to also take advantage of everything a Pokemon has to offer but a limit so you can't have an extremely powerful Pokemon with nothing but powerful moves. Pretty much all of the mangas don't have a limit on moves learned and used, but it only seems like maybe 4 or 5 moves are known because they get more powerful moves, but then old moves may return and then you see the didn't forget and there's not really a limit to the moves they can use at a time. But I'm saying the rule here is no more than 7 moves, and until you have a lot of badges, they can't be all powerful moves. Some must be weak, with the exception of higher ranked Gym Leaders, Evil Team Leaders, and the Elite Four.
An example of using moves to help a Pokemon is what Kaiser did iwth his Poliwhirl in his battle against me as Blaze. He used Bubble/BubbleBeam to shield himself in a bubble to be protected and unaffected from Magmar's Smog attack. Or in Pkmn Spe, Lance used Dragonair's BubbleBeam to shield himself from the lava at Ceris Island.)

(You can get an egg, but only one, and it can be a Pokemon you can't get until like later, like I want a Sneasel, I could get a Sneasel egg so I don't have to wait until Snowpoint.

While it can be a rare Pokemon, I just hope that not everybody makes their eggs be rare Pokemon, because we don't need everyone to have Lucarios or Eevees or whatnot on their teams.

Oh, and if it has a Baby stage, it must be hatched as a baby, including Azuril and Wynaut.


Edit: And eggs must be given by someone like an NPC or you must breed it (Though that's kind of useless since you'd already have it...) )

(allow me to explain what just happend, since i knew i'd be goinig up against an ice type i took the liberty of teaching a few of my pokemon steel moves (like Dratini's iron tail) while Seadra was hiding in the smokescreen after using Focus energy and rain dance he used sustisute witch allowed him to sacrifice 1/4th of his HP so that your next move (the blizzard) would hit a substitute the rain dance was for seadras speed to rise so it would hit without fail [even though the rain dance didnt work out the way i planed] (also thanks to the substitute Jynx was clules and distracted of what she thought to be seadra while the real seadra used the smokescreen to get behind Jynx) all of this was practiced befor hand after using smokescreen, focus energy and raindance seadra knew that he should use a substitute and get behind the enemy, well what im saying is Fucus Energy makes a critical hit x2 plus seadras abilaty Sniper witch makes all critical hits x3 insted of x2 and since Flash Cannon is steel its super effective witch means x2 so its x5 in all that is an Extremley powerful move.)

i captured a gold magikarp back a while ago, it evolved. plus all through out my journy ive been capturing magikarp and sending them to the professor, one of them evolved so i sent it back to me and i am training with it but hes only temporary.

So Professer I know your always hanging out in the outsdoors and such and researching how pokemon behave and I was wondering do you think you'll ever know all the pokemons in the world someday?

Proffesser Birch: There are many pokemons out there, I don't thik we will ever truely know them all, and sometimes I think its for the best...

[after a few hours with the proffesser he gives me an egg in hopes that I too will become a great pokemon trainer like the other trainers around the world he knows, so he lets me put the pokeballs of mine to him to keep save for now and gives me the 1 starter Treecko I keep Kadabra with me and my Vulpix]

*I keep the presious egg near my heart, loving it as if my own*
