But if Naruto truly loved Sakura or someone else and she gave up, I'd understand, though I would expect her feelings to take time to go away.

I'd be surprised. o_o After all, Naruto is her role model/crush. But if she did, then I'd just trust that Masashi Kishimoto would know what he was doing and that he would have handled it right, he always does.

If Hinata gave up on Naruto, I would be shocked and disappointed because she always cared about the hero from the begnning. Of course, Hinata is the only girl, who cares about Naruto other than Sakura. There's no way Mr. Kishimoto would be considered as a fool for Hinata to give up on Naruto.

If Hinata gave up on Naruto then i would be pretty upset at first, but then after a while, I'd just think that, well, if she confessed and nothing changed after so long then why would she put herself up for the disappointment for all that time. But I doubt her feelings would go away completely. [x And I'm a bigg NaruHina Fan. :D

Oh, and I'd be disappointed. The idea seems completely random. If he were to do it, I think it screws up the entire crush he gave her from the beginning of the series with timing that makes no sense whatsoever.
