Welcome to the Sengoku Japan RP thread! I have created this thread out of interest of this period of time within the history of Japan. For those of you who aren't familiar with this period of time, here is a brief introduction on what this period of time was, so your interest may be caught, hopefully:
The Sengoku, or Warring States, Period was a time of social upheaval, political intrigue, and much military conflict in Japan. This period of time lasted approximately from the middle of the 15th century to the beginning of the 17th century. The Sengoku period was started as a result of the collapsing Ashikaga shogunate (足利幕府) with other events such as the Onin War. Many powerful clans such as the Takeda and Imagawa, and their daimyos, rose up in many provinces all over the country, having power in whichever region they controlled. What also happened during this time was gekokujo (下克上) which was where underlings overthrew their lord. Many examples of this are the supplanting of the Hojo by the Toyotomi, the Shiba by the Oda, and the Toki by the Saito...

Here I plan to have little miniature battles and have members be leaders of the different clans during this time, as well as the different figures within these clans. Since battling may be a bit weird (i.e. making many different threads), I will try and create my own little forum for the battles and other events.
