No his claws aren't effected by Magnetism, Plus Doc Ock has limited control over metal to what degree is unknown, but is maybe safe to say not on Magneto's level, but who knows it could be on his level.


Magneto can't use the Iron in someones blood, First of all that type of Iron isn't effected by Magnetism, and if your getting that off the movie, then you may want to relook at the film, It wasn't Iron in his blood, it was Mystique who injected Iron into his Bloodstream that help him to escape the plastic prison, that was also known as a error in the film, because if Iron was injected into your Bloodstream it would kill you very fast.

Again I pose the question, why is this person allowed to make threads?

Magneto rapes and he rapes hard. His shield can tank blasts from Galactus, there is only one version of Octavius that possesses arms that are immune to magnetism, that being the movie version.

And last but certainly not least Magneto's magnetism FAR exceeds what little control over metal Octavius may have(I.E. NONE except for the Ultimate version). He can reverse the magnetic poles of the planet, he can treat adamantium like its silly putty, and for shits and giggles, he can affect the iron in Octavius' blood which, yes he can and has done before in the comics.
