okay soo episode 141 is out on animecrazy and as madara is talking to sasuke he said something that disturbed me. when he was naming who itachi had killed for the sake of the leaf, in the list, he said itachi killed HIS LOVER. ummm ???? since when did itachi have a lover?? and who the heck is she i wonder??? did this catch anyone else off guard? itachi had a girlfriend!!

^^ Agreed. Since I read the manga I already knew...and "lover" isn't exactly "lover" as you know it in English. For example if you look up Minato in his bio it'll sometimes say Kushina was his "lover" and obviously they were married so the meaning of the word most probably meant his girlfriend...and no we don't know who she was.

No, at the time the Uchiha clan was big so you had people only related by name not necessarily close family. It's not like he would've been marrying his sister.

yeah i liked that too! i loved seeing his life before the massacre and seeing who he was before the leaf village ruined his life. i wish he did have a hidden child somewhere but judging by his age at the time it's unlikely :(. i especially love that scene in the replay of itachi's life where sasuke screws up shuriken practice or something and itachi carries him home on his back. that was so sweet!!! i love itachi! he's so gentle, kind, wonderful, hot, powerful, and awesome!

It's not a bias comment it's a fact. Like I told Amani in the post above I don't read fanfiction at all so yes, first time hearing about a possible relationship between the two. Sakura was rejected by Sasuke all the time...I wasn't talking specifically about a "confession", I was talking in general and all throughout part I she was trying to get Sasuke to go out with her, to look at her, to just notice her and he always rejected her. Yet she has someone like Naruto or even Lee by her side and SHE rejects THEM, so I was only stating the truth. No, I don't hate Sakura and I've always said she's one of the few that actually got stronger from Part I to Part II but it doesn't mean I can't think she's a selfish person, obsessed with someone who doesn't love her and will never love her. I did "hate" her confession to Naruto that wasn't even a confession at all but I admire her decision to kill Sasuke so even though I may dislike her sometimes I don't hate her.

It would. I've wondered what would happen if Itachi had a child. The child would be around ten years old now at least, but if it was a baby at the time of the Uchiha tragedy, then how could he have hidden it. And it is said that Madara helped him kill everyone... that means the child would have to have been born before the incident and with enough time in between for him to spirit the child away. But... the lover couldn't have been that well known in the village, or people would have known and talked about his lover

Madara said 'lover.' But he didn't say girlfriend. Itachi could've have either a girlfriend or a boyfriend. Shusui was like the person he got along with the best. yah when i was reading the manga a quite a while ago, i sat there starring at that for some time wondering who it was.... wait but all they said was "lover" so it could have been a guy or a girl

He dosent say his lover; his mother and father
If he said it that way, he would have meant that his lovers were his mother and father, but he sepertated them all, so Itachi must have had a girlfriend.

yeah i know. if she was in the clan, i don't remember them ever showing any other uchiha children other than sasuke, itachi, and obito.. i guess because it would be too sad to know that they get massacred..

yeah that would be cool. but there are some people who think shisui was his "lover" but i think they were just best friends.. at least i hope they are just best friends.. i want itachi for myself! :)

As we know, Kishimoto has always been rather secretive with the love lives, but my guess is (or at least, for this particular case): if you're a female and if you're an Itachi fangirl, then you're that mysterious, deceased lover of his.

It's like Kishimoto puts you into the story without really naming "you." He doesn't name the girl on purpose because you're that girl if you want to be.

We all know there are Itachi lovers out there and I'm no exception tee-hee~
