Gaara vs Toph

This is Chapter 2 of my Naruto vs Avatar series, dood. Who would win? My money's on Gaara.

Gaara's sand is much faster plus has shown much greater sand manipulation than Toph's sand bending.

Sadly for Toph, she loses.

I belive you that Gaara will use Sand Coffin to crush Toph easily. Toph won't even use earth to strike Gaara dwon. Gaara wins.

Gaara with Shukaku wins. His flight ability and humongous control of sand would overwhelm Toph.

Current Gaara, not so much. He doesn't have raw power to overwhelm Toph- she could likely earthbend out of any sand Gaara tries to grab her with. Even if Gaara does manage to cover Toph, if she has her metal armor a Sand Coffin likely won't be enough to kill her- Kimimaro's layer of bone under his skin was just as strong as steel, and Gaara's attack failed on him. Toph would tax Gaara's defenses by chucking boulder after boulder at him, and eventually I think Gaara would run out of chakra and Toph would win.

all gaara has to do is be in the air which can do quickly then toph is just throwing boulders around hoping to hit something she would get tired much faster than gaara. you can't hit what you can't see and without any noise she can't find him.

I'd say Shukaku Gaara roflstomps with Sand Tsunami and Giant Sand Burial. I also say that current Gaara could also win this one pretty easily. Pre skip Lee was shown to be able to smash decent sized rocks with a single blow, and Gaara's sand shield stopped his non sped up attacks. Even Lee with weights is faster than Toph can throw a boulder. It is, after all, a boulder. They're heavy and don't fly so well. That means that unless Toph picks up entire plateaus and chucks them at Gaara he should be fine. As far as metal bending goes, Gaara can easily make a slight sand puddle under Toph. Once she's in contact with the sand, which she cannot run away from due to it being multiple levels faster than her, she can't move. Gaara can manipulate the sand to trip her every time she tries to move, or he could simply cause the sand to swirl her around and not allow her any movement. Gaara's sand manipulation is many, many times stronger than Toph's, so she wouldn't be able to sand bend her way out of the trap. When you consider that even Kimimaro was at least hurt a bit by Sand Burial then it's safe to say one or two on Toph, who is far more fragile under her metal, would likely injure her severely. Sand Burial has enough pressure to likely crumple just a coat of steel with a few tries. Since Toph really can't hit Gaara, and he still has a very large chakra supply even without Shukaku, Gaara should be more than fine. He could take all the time in the world to slowly crush Toph's body into more sand for his big ass gourd.

well...toph can "see" in sand and if gaara stands on sand in the air then...well toph will lose it'z that simple...

It's no contest really. Gaara would destroy, Toph. Toph is blind and the only way she can see is if she feels vibrations on the ground. But she can't do that on sand. Sand is Toph's weakness. Gaara could defeat in less than a minute to tell the truth. Just simply put sand all over the ground and use Sand Burial and end it all.

Gaara would probably win ,but it would be a interesting fight to watch.

Gaara hasn't demonstrated the levitation via sand ability without Shukaku; for all we know it could drain his chakra fast and then he'd be defenseless.

Toph because she can sense Garra and the she can just take control of Garra sand by sand bending
