Something Surprising Yet Not

I was going around the Daizenshuu EX(A Dragon Ball Forum)and I asked some people about how anime such as Dragon Ball have thrived differently.
We got into a discussion about Disney XD and Shippuden.
So then-I thought, hey, I wonder what their ratings are compared to CN?
He replied something like,
"Well...2002, CN was beating everyone. DBZ, #1 Cable show. Then, anime kinda disappeared. But in 2009, Disney XD right now has much larger ratings than CN does the last couple of years."
I asked some other people, and they said the same thing.
Do you find this surprsing, considering the, "Real CN" vs. Edited Shippuden.

Kind of, i knew Naruto would be popular because there are tons of Naruto fans out there. And I know that most people would rather watch the edited Naruto Shippuden than CN Real.

In my opinion, the people who whine are the people who watch the edited version the most. I mean, it may be edited, but It's nice being able to recline and watch some Naruto without having to dish out an extra 20 bucks or so.

I'm not surprised. I mean, I used to be a Cartoon Network fan. The cartoons they had were awesome. Then they canceled those, and put on CN Real and Total Drama Island and The Marvelous Adventures of Flapjack, and then I stopped watching.

wuts the difference between the CN version and the disney version?Disney edits are twice as...erm..."edity". For instance, for Sexy Jutsu it's called Cutie Jutsu and there's an extra layer of smoke to cover it up.

CN Real is... Not that great.

On the other hand, edited Shippuden is WAAAYYY better than CN is doing right now. CN is losing it's flame.

I would rather watch edited Shippuden than the idiot "Cartoon Network REAL". The edits are only super bad ones in the first couple episodes. In episode one, Sasuke had no sword. Cutie Jutsu, Hottie Jutsu. No bloody nose after being punched by someone with super strength. Extra layer of smoke to cover everything.

Now they are showing Kankuro's organs with poison splattered everywhere. I think they're lightening up...

BTW they showed Sasuke with a bloody cut on his face with a big blood spot on his leg... In a flashback.
