Guy doesn't use Ninjutsu so Preta can't absorb that.
And Guy is also way too fast to get into Preta's Clutch.

So basically Preta can't do anything ere except taking hit after hit.

Guy should take this with quite the ease.

Preta Path.
i think Guy defeats Preta , Preta's path main objective is to tank ninjutsu , not taijutsu

Preta's isn't without any offensive capabilities though. If he can stand indefinitely against Guy, at a certain point Guy would wear out, and Preta's average to below average offensive abilities would be enough.

If he were to fight guy head on in Taijutsu he'd loose, which is why he wouldn't.

I guess I'm saying Preta's endurance is greater than Guy's, and that endurance would be the deciding factor.

Aren't all Pains like supersonicish? If so then Preta is faster than base Gai and could sneak up on him to absorb his Chakra.

Guy's all punches and kicks though, so losing his Chakra would be no big thing to Guy.

It seems like this fight's split off into 2 main scenarios-

1- Guy has full Chakra and potentially gate opening during the fight
2- Guy only has his tights

With Chakra and gates, Guy would have a very high level of endurance/stamina, and I think the only way he could win is if that stamina is greater than Preta's, which I think is debatable. In the event Guy has no Chakra, it'd be his natural stamina/endurance put against Preta, which I think is a shut out in favor of Preta.

So the fight for me is really coming down to whether or not Guy with all gates has more stamina and endurance than Preta.

I guess your right, but don't you need to concentrate chakra to your feet to move fast? I guess it all comes down to endurance and strength, which I know little about Preta's strength.

It's unclear whether the Taijutsu Guy practices is a Chakra enhanced one for the most part, but it seems likely it isn't since Lee's character in his entirety excels in it despite his inability to manipulate Chakra well.

Correct here to.

With that in mind, I think it's safe to say Guy and Lee's Taijutsu is normally Chakra-free to Chakra-lite, but with gates open, Chakra is used to enhance it too significant degrees.

Well, SRhyse and KGT both responding on a BG thread is a rare sight. ^^. xD

Anyway, Gai has superior Taijutsu and Preta doesn't have any long range jutsus does he? I doubt that he can beat Gai, seeing as Guy's ninja-chucks (nun-chucks. xD) will hurt Preta pretty bad, and with Gai's speed he should be able to get near Preta pretty fast.

And, I believe Preta has to hold his opponent to absorb chakra and if he holds guy, Guy can use lotus no?.

I can't think of a way that Preta can beat Guy.=/.....

8 Gates: They limit the flow of Chakra within a Person's Body.
By Opening them the Limits are gone and the Chakra increases the Physical Limits of a Person.

So your right.
Also look at this:
When Lee opened them we see the Chakra flow around him.

All the Pain bodies should considered around supersonic. Low to high.

Except for Naraka and the Female Animal Path. I don't know about the 1st Animal Path.

That being said Guy is like transonic+ he is one of the fastest Jounin.
Also He is superior taijutsu to Preta unless Preta can grab Guy and absorb his chakra.

But Guy with gates would be destroy Preta with too many punches unless Preta can absorb the chakra with in time.

I'm wondering about the Preta absorbing thing.

When Gai used Gate of Joy, he had chakra releasing around him, enough so that it caused the water to form a vortex around him. Therefore, I'm unsure of whether or not Preta could absorb that chakra, and drain the rest from Gai through those means. Of course, if Gai got that close with Joy open, it may be too late..

Ahh, but the Turtle can throw toothpicks with pieces of paper attacked to it. ;D

Turtle can hurt Preta's mouth before he can eat them. ;P.xDDD

Preta's mouth would open wide, and wider, and wider still, until all that there was in front of our hapless turtle was mouth.

Free of hope, the turtle would have no choice but to be eaten despite all he did. There would be nothing left but 'the-eating-of-turtle-by-Preta,' as far as the eye can see, in all directions, until the end of time, and most certainly the turtle.

Then Preta'd punch Guy in the face and win :lol:.

Preta is what, Transonic, I think? That's Guy's base speed, and he has better taijutsu feats than Preta. There is no ninjutsu to absorb, and Guy has a multitude of Taijutsu techniques which would send Preta flying. plus, with Gates he's supersonic, so he would speedblitz in Gates. But that's only if Preta is Transonic. Guy probably takes this.

Preta is more like low supersonic to me.

He intercepted FRS in front of Deva and kept up with SM Naruto and reacted to his punch with shared vision.

However Gai a supreme Taijutsu user and unlike the Hidan vs Preta. Gai is faster than Hidan and better with Taijutsu.

One hit would literally smash Preta's entire body structure.

Guy has shown superior speed compared to Preta in gates, and with the stone breaking power punches and kicks, this should be pretty simple for Guy.

Preta has absolutely no chance, seeing as he has no weapons or tolls capable of defending against Guy. He's also crap in Taijutsu, meaning he probably wouldn't even be able to dodge Guy's first kick with weights off in gates.

Only hit gates would few hits would render Preta out.

Preta has a weapon, Chakra Disruption Blade.
He is not crap with Taijutsu, just average but Gai is of course superior.

Also Gai would have to worry about Preta grabbing Gai but with Gai's superior taijutsu Gai should be fine.
