I told you about this. I knew it would come. Highly predictable on Kishimoto's part. So let me add some more spoilers, confirmed only because I read Kishimoto's ideas like Itachi reads people's movements with his sharingan.
It will focus on Konohamaru and initially they will fight some cult trying to revive Orochimaru. There will be a new Akatsuki, but it will be weaker. Also Naruto will have to fight the Nine Tailed Fox at the end of the current manga series and there will be a new Jinchuriki of the Nine tails in Naruto 3. Sasuke will not be in this series. He will be gone I believe by this time. Madara may survive into this third series, but probably not.

If Naruto is hokage, how is the series going to be about Naruto? Simply put, it can't be without having the village being attacked constantly. The hokage can only leave the village under certain circumstances, so how would the series keep action coming that revolved around Naruto? The only way would be to have the village attacked rapidly. This would lead to a bad story, for the most part.

Someone can argue that the series could follow someone else, such as Konohamaru, but why would a series entitled 'Naruto' be about someone other than the character of the same name? It wouldn't be.

If the time skip does happen, it would be better, and far more likely, for Naruto to be a jonin. This would allow him to leave the village on missions, have interactions with new characters (which would start out as being his students), and allow the story to be far more exciting.

So I am calling BS on this happening, at least the whole Naruto being hokage deal. At least that is my opinion.

I have never seen, read, heard, etc the tradegy of julius caesar, but I am going to assume that a major plot point was his death. Correct? If not, well they are two different forms of art. So it is completely different.

Either way, do you honestly want to read 'Naruto' and not have it be about Naruto? I know I don't. That would be like a Twilight fan actually wanting the author to rewrite the first book from Edward's point of view.

I agree, if the show starts with Naruto being a Hokage, the 3rd part would be lame, as you said the Hokage cant leave the village for a mission or something! Even when the village is under attack, Konoha's shinobi will protect their village, not the Hokage! So, for Naruto being a Hokage for the begining of the show isnt a good idea.
On the otherhand, if the show starts with him being a Jonin, that would be interesting! Because the Jonin can leave the village, with a very difficult missions.
And as you said also, he will have his own students. Like this the show would be even the most exciting ever.

Right when Mr.Kishimoto announced that he "just decided" on the plot and that Naruto will go on for a long time.

Some person on DA started spreading the rumour about a time skip and used that preview photo (Naruto as Hokage) from the upcoming fanbook as false proof. Since then, this rumour has exploded over the internet.

Yugioh GX was about Jaden

Yugioh 5D is about some guy Yusei

They will keep the Naruto title so people know what it is. Also it can be "Naruto" as in the Naruto universe, not just Naruto is the hero.

Okay, first of all, the link wasn't true, as everyone else already said. Now, why does everyone think that if there's a third part, it's going to be about Konohamaru? Even if Naruto is Hokage, and plays a smaller role, I'd be okay with that. After all, that would mean that we could see some storylines about other characters like Sakura again, who's been a side character for over 100 chapters.

To the person who mentioned Yugioh as a counter argument. If Yugi or the Pharaohs name was Yugioh, then it would be different. The world of Yugioh is what the stories are in. For example, Dragonball was about the Dragonballs. Dragonball Z was as well, but also had story arcs that weren't revolved around them. So it was obviously named after the world of Dragonball, not the Dragonballs themselves.

There are so many directions this series could continue to go into. I highly doubt he would stop the sersies that is so popular (would be pretty stupid on his part). For one there are still so many different countries out there not even explored yet and I garenty they could come up with more very powerful ninja that have not even been discovered yet. That is the nice thing about this series is you could take it in so many directions. I see at least a 3 part at some time, first they still need to get through the 2nd before even worry about all that.
