that's kind of dumb and fanboyish. Cause Goku can defeat some version of Superman and some versions of Superman can defeat goku. The original version of Superman could bound a tall building a in single leap but not go faster than light. I think Smallville: The Series Superman would get raped by Goku. Same with the DC animated universe one. I don't know what pre-crisis Superman is as I have never read a Superman comic, but if Superman can defeat THE ONE ABOVE ALL then he can defeat Goku. APparently SUperman is OMNISCENT in some versions.

The only way goku can move at light speed is if he uses IT! and and was stated in the buu sage when the elder kai stated that buu could move at the speed of light now that he knew IT and thats proof that no dbz characters can move FTL and Superman is around 4x the speed of light, goku is nohere near that and would be beat to hell and back before he knew what hit him.

Only superman prime is that fast I know everything about superman I read almost all his comic and watch every single episode of every single anime about him and every live action series and movie I know about superman its never said he is million's times faster then light.

Superman prime and Superman Pre-crisis is really the only one's faster then The Flash and The Flash has been said to run at 10x the speed of light, and in the superman comic he was said to move at 4x the speed of light.

to turn back time the way he did when flying around the earth he would have had to move only slighlty faster than light since it took him quite a few rotations. the most interesting goku vs. superman battle imo would be both animated versions of the character. Big blue in STAS, JL, and JLU, as well as the movies, is still pretty impressive and probably planet busting level if he flew thru the centre. Non-canon goku has alot more speed/power feats, they match up well.

Goku can't move at light speed in any ssj form the only way is by using IT! and even then Superman is faster stronger and can tank anything goku hits him with plan and simple Goku has no shot at beating superman.

if we're talking animated versions, i agree supes could probly take almost everything goku could throw, look at the pounding he took from doomsday, he survived reentry and smashing into the ground at full speed, that shows he has meteor impact durability. but i think goku could out blast him, he would need to keep him far away since supes could pound the crap out of him n he is nowhere near as durable.

IT is gokues best bet, animated supes doesnt seem much faster unless hes pushing it in straight flight.

Superman mostly only uses his speed when saving someone in a fight he normally just fights it out, but in a speed race superman would fly around the world 1000 times before Goku could make it around 10 times.

Very tough.....Um, Superman wins cause Goku is strong, but Superman's only weakness is Kriptonite. And I'm pretty sure that Goku doesn't have any Kriptonite.
