Summaries.

163: Explosion ! Sage Mode !

After Pain utterly destroyed the entire village of Konoha. Tsunade breaks her seal to save the villagers of Konoha from Pain's huge scaled attack.
Meanwhile, Naruto enters the battlefield with Fukasaku. Using the full extend of his sage powers,
Naruto confirms Kakashi's death. With great sorrow and anger in his chest.
Naruto look forward to his battle with Pain.

Sasuke vs. Itachi ends, it now settled. Tobi continue to play with the Konoha ninjas, Zetsu interferes. Konoha begin their chase again for Sasuke. The Konoha arrives at the battleground where the Uchiha fought...
Tobi willfully reveals Sasuke of Itachi?!


140. Fate (December 24th)

Madara and Sasuke confront each other in one of Akatsuki's hideouts. Madara reveals the fact that he was lending Itachi a hand on THAT night, and starts revealing Sasuke the unknown truth about Itachi. Sasukeis shocked and freaks out, fainting. Madara then tells sasuke it's his obligation to at least hear the story of his brother.

141. Truth (December 31st)

His whole family had planned a coup in Konoha (as in rebelling).
Madara talks a story which is hard to believe, and Sasuke is torn apart.
In the reason of the superiors, Itachi was a vital piece in the family.
Being young, he had experienced the great wars and suffered great trauma, he yearned for stability and peace in the village. When the mystery of the annihilation night is revealed, Sasuke knows for the first time Itachi's feelings and what thoughts he held.

142. The Battle of Thunder-Cloud Gorge (January 14th)

Who knows, a filler is a filler(fillers can get like 'crazy' like that Sora being pseudo-jinchuuriki.) Kishimoto is taking apart of this little filler arc anyway. OroLuk, march/April...that is like beginning of Feb to end of march-early-April..so 2 1/2 months approx.

Summaries

156. Surpassing The Master

The Sennin mode training proposed to Naruto by Fukasaku is progressing well.
Meanwhile, after the battle with Killer Bee, Taka is resting, but Karin detect Cloud Ninjas incoming. Jay is captured after tracking Taka. When Raikage learns the news, he enters in a furious anger.

157. Konoha Under Attack

Shikamaru and the others are busy decoding every piece of information left by Jiraiya.
During midday, the 6 Paths of Pain are entering Konoha to raid it.
Konoha is preparing the counterattack.
Meanwhile, during his Sennin Mode training, Fukasaku explains to Naruto that the Sennin Mode can represent much danger.

158. The Power to Trust

The 6 Paths of Pain and Konan are in the middle of a brutal assault on Konoha.
Reports are coming to Tsunade. She orders to contact Fukasaku.
But the elders Homura and Koharu disagree with Naruto coming back during a full frontal attack of Pain.
They argue that must he must guarded as a tool of the village.
Saying that Naruto too is a ninja whose job is to protect Konoha, Tsunade orders Naruto's return.

159. Pain vs. Kakashi!

Pain Tendou's rampage is noticed by Kakashi. Pain Shuradou joins the battle.
Kakashi is quickly overwhelmed but Chouza and Chouji enter the battlefield to help.
When Kakashi pinpoint Tendou Pain's ability, he tries to work with Chouza and Chouji to overcome it.

I am glad Naruto has red eyes in it instead of orange, but it might just be shaded. Also it was the bad animators that did that, I could tell by how the style of how he looked and how Sakura looked.

5/13 - 160: The Riddle that is Pain.

While Akatsuki is attacking Konoha, Danzou prepares his moves and is close to achieving his goals.
Yamanaka Inoichi gets some crucial informations during his exploration of the Ame ninja.
By using both Inoichi and Shizune's intelligences, they try to find who is the real pain.

5/20 - 161: The name is Konahamaru Sarutobi !

Moegi, Udon & Konhamaru are in the process of taking refuge in shelters with civilians.
While Konohamaru is helping civilians trapped under a collapsed building, he meet Pain Jigokudou.
( Hell Path ). Konohamaru is joined by his master Ebisu. Ebisu is trying to get some time for Konohamaru to
run away. But Konohamaru refuses to run away and remembers his promise to Naruto.

5/27 - 162: The world shall know Pain !

Tendou Pain & Tsunade. Pain asks Tsunade where Naruto is but Tsunade refuses to tell him when Pain
gets intelligence via Ningendou ( Human Path ) that Naruto is in Myobokuzan !
Even though the deads are multiplying. After Pain blame Konoha's ideals,
Pain is decided to deal a crucial blow to Konoha once and for all.

6/3 - 163: Explosion ! Sage Mode !

After Pain utterly destroyed the entire village of Konoha. Tsunade breaks her seal to save the villagers of Konoha from Pain's huge scaled attack.
Meanwhile, Naruto enters the battlefield with Fukasaku. Using the full extend of his sage powers,
Naruto confirms Kakashi's death. With great sorrow and anger in his chest.
Naruto look forward to his battle with Pain.

i understand why animation cant ALWAYS be good, however, naruto vs. pain is pretty much the best and most anticipated fight in the naruto series. the japanese teams should know this and plan to animate this arc as well as possible (suzuki). the new movie shouldnt take preference over canological material, im especially upset because killer bee vs. sasuke (as cool as it was) did NOT diserve the rayal treatment it recieved. naruto vs. pain should have recieved that treatment. im not totally distraught yet, as during the last leg of the fight (spoilers) after naruto gets out of chibaku tensai (end spoilers) they could bust out the great animaters and extend that scene with some awesome taijutsu-ness. i hope people understand why im concerned. who knows though, the not-so-great-animators may do their scenes with un-seen perfection. i guess only time will tell.

Chibaku Tensai, or "Catastrophic Planetary Construction" has been announced to be the name of episode 167.

The animation dirrector for 165 is Eiichi Tokura, which does decent animation, not great but not bad.

The AD for 166 is Hirofumi Suzuki.

And finally for 167 the Animation Director is Atsushi Wakabayashi, so two great animated episodes in a row.
