I thought that if I beat the story on difficulty 4 I could unlock Hidan and Kakuzu in the shop, but nope.

If you've unlocked Bando already, than you should have enough cumulative mission points; now go back and clear 40% of Kakashi's missions. Redo his S-rank and his rival will have changed from Gai to ANBU Kakashi. Beat him to unlock him.

If that doesn't work, get 20% or more on every other character's missions and THEN do Kakashi's S-rank.

I'm just going to do 50% of the Missions with the characters I have so far and see what happens. Or.. keep playing Survival and Score attack until that special message shows up. He's the last character I need, too...

i have done all of the stuff to try and get anbu kakashi but it wont let me fight him in the s-rank mission:( i even have hokage on the s-rank mission for guy:( help plz

Ok i beat deidara in the story mode and it showd the ending credits and shiz. But then i looked in chapter select it only goes up to 3 and looks like theres space for more chapters. Also i checked my ninja info card and it shows that story mode completed: 26 Percent! So is there more to the story mode if so how to unlock it. There should be more especially since it showed sai in an extra movie after the credits.

Anbu Kakashi isn't really all what he's cracked up to be. An alternate costume with a few new moves/specials and almost basically the same moveset as the old Kakashi. I only unlocked him for a full roster. :/

Are there more chapters? I assume playing the three chapters on the level 4 difficulty will make Story mode 100% complete.

you have to play story mode on all dificulties to get 100%. It isn't worth it though, since story mode is rediculously difficult and it doesn't get you anything once you do get 100%. As for anbu kakashi, blasphemy!!!!! Anbu kakashi is so awsome! Yeah, he isn't that much different from regular kakashi, but he is so much cooler and has a much better back a and down a and has a great counter special. Plus it shows everyone on wifi how good you are and makes them jealous if they haven't unlocked him yet. That is why I always chose him first when I play someone on wifi.

ok guys this is how you get anbu kakashi. its true about completing 40% with kakashi including s-rank, its true about completing 20% of the missions with each character. now the reason why you havent gotten him is because...well...your "naruto".
like naruto, you probably are scoring some genin as a overall grade. Hokage, Jonin, Chunin, and Genin are your grades. Your overall "GPA" should be 20% or higher, regardless of how many missions you do for every character. If you get hokage for two missions, your set, but some might have to go back and "retake the course".
you check if you have 20% or 40% in the extras menu. once there, go to rankings, then mission list completion. You should see the percent completions for every character. once the pre-requisettes are handled, "apply" for s-rank mission again with kakashi. This time your opponent should be anbu kakashi. Beat him (doesnt matter what grade you get, you beat him and you obtain your "anbu degree") , unlock him, buy the s.o.b. it was somewhat difficult to figure this out without any outside help. thats why i'm sharing the wealth.

to get 100% in Story Mode, you need to beat it on all 4 difficulties, sadly they didn't add more to the game, but it did say it was only based off the Gaara Retrieval Arc, but would have characters up to the Hidan and Kakuzu Arc lol, kinda off, but still awesome.

and i think ANBU Kakashi is just the Kakashi from the old clash of Ninja games with some adjustments to his attacks, it's pretty cool i think.

k well make sure there all 20% 1 more time and in kakashi you need to make sure hes 40% complete and includes his S rank mission beat and if he still isnt unlocked you might need 100,000 ryos im not sure bout the ryo but check all that

Yeah, this game is pretty terrible when it comes to unlocking Bando and Anbu Kakashi. No one really knows exactly how to unlock them, but if you follow the instructions in the unlocking thread, it will usually work. Once that fails you have to try to get better percentages with every character, for Anbu Kakashi, or more matches, for Bando, until they are unlocked. I did everything I was supposed to do to unlock Anbu Kakashi, but he would still not unlock after being beaten. I ended up having to go back and do some more missions for the people that had 20% from getting several low scores like jonin or head ninja. As for Bando, I have heard that the number of matches needed to unlock him goes from like 500 to 1000 and people have gotten him anywhere in that range. So if you are still unable to unlock a character after doing everything the unlocking thread says, then just keep trying to get higher percentages and more matches.

No. You only get the full 10% if you have a Hokage. So to be on the safe side just make sure you have everything except ANBU Kakashi, 100,000 ryo, at least 2 Hokage ranks for all the characters EXCEPT Kakashi. He needs four Hokage ranks plus his S-Rank mission (get Hokage on that also to be safe). Then after that do Kakashi's S-rank again and it will be ANBU Kakashi. I had to beat him twice before he was available in the shop. Weird.

This game is definitly my favorite Naruto game, but it completely lacks consistancy when it comes to unlocking characters. I did everything I could find in alot of forums to get Anbu Kakashi, but nothing worked until I did this. Then for all the other characters I read that certain things had to be done to unlock them. Yet, I did nothing but purchase all the characters from the previous list, then the next group popped up. It just seems to be different for everybody.
