it's not an act of compassion if they have rights to be with who they love even after death!!

taking away rights from lgbt couples is illegal discrimination.

if you don't take this into consideration, don't even bother arguing.

To cut to the chase - the vetoing of this bill sickens me. It is just another means of attempting to legitimize hatred and discrimination against the GLBT community.

I do not believe the law has any right to interfere with the last rights and wishes of the deceased. This is one's final will and testament, and burial arrangements are part of that. Whomever one chooses to see to the execution of his/her burial and funerary arrangements is the person that should be in charge of the proceedings. Anyone not so stated in the document should not be allowed to overturn the decedent's wishes.

The idea that "traditional family members'' should be allowed to supercede the deceased's wishes simply because a same-sex partner was named as executor is preposterous. Not everyone gets along with his/her family, or believes that blood relatives would make the best decision.

Moreover, to suggest, in regards to GLBT couples, that a "one year time period is not a sufficient duration to establish a serious bond between two individuals..." is appalling. As the article states, there is no waiting period for heterosexuals to prove their relationship is serious or valid. This is faulty logic and an unsound argument - grasping at straws in a feeble attempt to justify intolerance.

Personally.
I think putting laws on love is idiotic.
Love is love no?
No matter if you're gay/bi/lesbian/ or straight.

Eliding your ridiculously homophobic and non-productive comment for the moment, let me ask you this: Do you think the law has any business in overturning a person's will and last wishes if those wishes are not illegal or harmful? Would you be ok with the Law allowing someone to override your will and testament for no good reason other than someone disagreed with your sexuality?

Nice.
I am not personally for gay marriage per se, I dont believe in it, but thats because it is not my choice. But thats just it. It is NOT MY CHOICE. We as a free society should allow for others to make their own choices within reason. So let people love who they love, or think they love who they think they love. So long as it does not affect me, I'm good. But to veto a bill saying that they cannot even be buried together? Gay rights beliefs should go out the window. They are DEAD. What does it matter where they are put into the ground? I am not sure what kind of point that the governor was trying to make, but he kind of failed. Let people be buried where they will. Its their last wishes for crying out loud, and it isnt harming anyone, not even the most devout or radical of religious followers. Again, they are DEAD.

This is just stupid.

Mmhmm.
My view on this whole LGBT "debate" is to just leave them be.
They are no harm to me, so I have nothing against them.
Love is Love, right?
If they want to be buried together, then so be it.
Really, what's the big deal?

I'm not gay, but impeding on the rights of the people of the United States in this way is hilariously stupid. What's the justification?

"Oh, I'm sorry, we can't have two dongs in a grave, because I don't like the thought of the two corpses butffucking each other somehow."

Idiots. And people wonder why we don't take the cultural right wing seriously anymore?

Once again, the government fails. I mean, what's wrong with burying to peope next to eachother? Twins of the same sex can be burried next to eachother! So can sister, brothers, whatever! I mean really, what's the harmm in being burried next to the person you love!!! And they're dead! It's not like they can do anything! Love is still Love, in all shapes, forms, and sizes. I am not personally gay, but this is stupid.

EXACTLY
This has nothing to do with gay marriage at all, or how someone would feel about it. This is just the rights of the deceased to be buried with whom they will. This is just absurd. What good can come out of it?
