IIRC, the only way to actually pierce his skin in his verse is to bring him near that woman. Since she's not here, he can tank every single one of Jiraiyas attacks. Also, he strength is massive, cracking the pavement just by landing. And he can fly.

I say that he takes out Jiraiya before he gets Sage Mode.
