they sure had the stones to air such a show like shippuden. edited or not, it's an abysmal way to influence prepubesent kids with the kind of content this show has, and they're too young to understand it. watch how many lawsuits disney will have from parents that witnessed this with their kids. it'll be contagious. although i enjoyed it last night and im 19. this is so not the channel to air this. syfy imo would've been the best choice to air it mixing it up with macross. as for adult swim, not really because it's associated with cn and cn already tossed naruto aside like a soiled cloth.

All I can say is be happy with what you get. Atleast you can watch it on tv unlike me who doesn't have disney xd.

Disney xd seems like a younger viewer age range channel. It doesnt matter, as long as they take care of naruto shippuden, then I will support them all the way.

Disney Channel is aimed at young viewers, so what is the point in having XD aimed at them aswell? It is simply a waste of money if both channels are aiming to get the same fanbase. Personally, I'm ok with the edits, I really am, but at least give me an unedited version that is on at like 11 or later.

Disney Channel is aimed at young viewers, so what is the point in having XD aimed at them aswell? It is simply a waste of money if both channels are aiming to get the same fanbase. Personally, I'm ok with the edits, I really am, but at least give me an unedited version that is on at like 11 or later.

Basically thelastuchiha is right, we should worry more about supporting naruto shippuden on disney xd then complain about the edits. I dont like the edits but we shouldnt let our anger collapse to the point that you wont support the show, worry more about supporting the show and less about the edits. You never know, disney xd might not edit that much stuff in the upcoming episodes.

Well viz did say this channel was for 10-14 age kids so the editing seems to fit unless they change their minds and say lets tone the edits down a bit

XD will tone down on the editing once we get further into the show. C'mon, it was the only first couple of episodes. Stop being babies and be patient. If you don't like the way it's on XD, there's always DVD's to look forward to, and Itunes.

Disney XD still has my respect, they know what they are doing. Naruto is right on that channel for a younger viewer but Viz just might put the show somewhere else but for now it is disney xd.

It's like saying that the only edit Disney should have made would be to cut the show from their line up entirely in order to spare the children. Most people complain in the opposite way, saying if anything, Disney should have added more blood and Sexy Jutsu to the mix.

I agree with you about the show being good, And as for lawsuits that will never happen. For starters they warn the viewers with the [PG] thing, and there are other shows on disney XD that are PG, Disney XD is meant for older kids/teens.

Anime and foreign things tend to get pretty tricky in that respect, since no matter how old a character is, to someone that's not knee deep in Asian culture, they look like 8 year olds murdering eachother and drinking beer :lol:.

I think 4 tailed Naruto can likely get away with the fact his chakra's red too.
I think all around, the handling of Hidan will determine how people view the Disney versions, and I'll be looking forward to seeing what develops there.

If you think removing a splash of blood on someone's face is dissing anime in general, or Shippuden specifically, I think maybe you're missing out on what the majority of this series is about :lol:.
I mean did it really change the experience for you in a way you feel ruined the entire episode? Would you have even known if you hadn't already seen it in Japanese or on iTunes a bunch of times? If so, great, but I'd be interested in whether or not you can explain why, because it seems like you're taking issue with the fact Disney touched your 'baby' in general, and likely wouldn't be satisfied even if they added more blood instead.

And One Piece sucked after it was edited by 4Kids. This is what happens when you take a manga meant for 13 and ups and try to turn it into a kid friendly show
