If you discount Itachi's disease, and he's at his full power, even with Jiraya in sage mode, I can't see him winning this. His ninjutsu rivals Jiraya's in sage mode.

Jiraiya's shown faster speeds than Itachi has in Sage Mode, and the only ninjutsu that comes close to rivaling Jiraiya's is Amaterasu, the rest is crap. I hope you realize that Jiraiya has demonstrated the most ninjutsu in the series, NOBODY in the series rivals him in the jutsu department besides Pain and likely Rikudou.

MS didn't do so well against Raikage, who from feats would lose to SM Naruto, who is weaker than Jiraiya. Itachi>Sasuke but not by so much anymore.

SM is probably just as good as Mangekyo if used right.

I think SM is better than Mangekyo if used right. Heck, it doesn't even HAVE to be used right, Jiraiya's is incomplete and he still stomps Itachi.

You can't just assume what Itachi's strength would be with no disease and at his best, since he never used his best.

SM doesn't rival MS, it BEATS MS. I don't see how Itachi could win, toads negate genjutsu, Jiraiya can dodge all of Itachi's ninjutsu, and Susanoo isn't that fast and drains Itachi's life until he dies. Even Sasuke without his disease was quite exhausted after using it, and Itachi has LESS stamina than Sasuke does.

Jiraiya wins this hard. His SM gives him a lot of chakra, enough to break free from most Genjutsus. And the Toads can get Jiraiya out of TSU if he gets trapped. Ammy can be dodged by sheer speed. Susanoo's can't last forever. That many boss summons can be troublesome for Itachi. I don't see a way for Itachi to win..

Basically, he can outrun Itachi while in Sage Mode, which allows him to escape Amaterasu. The frogs can get him out of a genjutsu if he can't just break free, and his multitude of jutsu/strength in Sage Mode takes Itachi down. =o

i have to agree with you, i mean the man who is itachi's leader has extreme trouble going toe to toe with jyraiya, and jyraiya is like sixtey years old and itachi has no way of even coming close to defeating pain, so theres no way he could defeat jyraiya
