View Full Version : Sakura beats up Naruto

for a reason.
Many Anti-NaruSaku fans have used this in their arguments over and over again, but they exaggerate it to make it seem like Sakura wants to beat Naruto to death.
WHY would she want to do that? Her respect and caring for Naruto has obviously grown over the timeskip, and even towards the end of part 1. What is one thing that would make her want to kill him, at this point in the manga?
Sakura has beaten Naruto only a few times in canon, the rest is added by the animators for comical effect. You may not find it funny, but apparently they do.
Besides, whenever she does hit Naruto, it's because he does something stupid, reckless or perverted; in other words, she is keeping him in line, and she wants him to act more mature. It's not like she actually aims to kill.
I felt like making this thread, because so many people are mentioning it.

there's a reason she hitted him then hugged him after he defeated Pain, she cares for him, be it whatever the reason you wanna put, she cares for him, and, in a comical manner, punishes him for being reckless too

All right! Way to go, Kuromaki. This is what I've been saying for years.
(Well, more like weeks, but it just feels like years.)

Right, but unlike the other hits, 450 wasn't meant to be a comical hit. That one was meant to be taken seriously as a "what do you think you were doing, making me worry like that!?!" gesture, which is why the hug came immediately after. That's actually something I've seen happen in a lot of media outside of that area, so it's a more universal thing.

Yeah, that one was more serious than the others.

Sakura "hitting" Naruto is just a typical shonen manga theme, this happens all the time with the main character & his love interest in shonen mangas, usually these two characters happens to get in a relationship eventually, this is nothing new & people do take these "hits" too seriously.

^I concur, but we have to address it because people will bring this up no matter what we say simple because they can. For many people, this is their first, only, or one of their first exposures to the genera, so they don't know what to expect.

Most people don't realize that Sakura is tsundere, which is a character type usually found in females where they hide their real feelings and act tough on the outside, but are really sweet and caring on the inside. Tsunade, Ino, Temari, and Karin are also like this, though mostly Sakura and Tsunade.

ALthought im a naruhina fan, I actually agree with you guys.
But you'd notice Hinata never hits naruto. Kishimoto probably wanted to keep the love between them, instead of hiding it with punching. I dunno.

I agree with Kuromaki, Sakura pretty much beats up Naruto to get him in order.
