There I three ways I believe people debate in the battlegrounds:

1. Feats Debating: When you debate based on speeds and strengths shown in the manga, and will only debate this way insteado using databook facts or sayings.

2. Facts Debating: When you debate mainly reffering to Databook stats and other facts from interviews and various sources. In an interview, Hashirama Sanju is said to be the strongest deceased ninja (besides possibly 2 others). You mainly use these to defend your arguements in debates.

3. Both: You debate most often using both facts and feats to defend your arguements.

4. Neither: You just don't debate much at all.

Which way do you debate?

Feats. It is so much easier to prove your point with them. Madara may have been said to be strong, but Minato's powers might be the perfect counter to them.

Unless you use feats, everything becomes very shaky.

Nice thread.

Anyway, I find it preferable to judge based off of feats. The information from this source is a little more solid and the manga visuals act as a guideline. However, If I am in a heated debate or debating against someone who does not use the 'feats' data, then I may resort to using both. :p

Feats, only because before I started, I didnt know of the existence of databooks. Plus, numbers can only tell you so much. It also makes for a much more interesting debate, instead of just throwing numbers into it and saying, there ya go, so and so wins hands down.

But either way I'm not much of a battlegrounds debater, since i dont read the manga. I tend to get shot down a lot.

Neither. I don't get into long debates there.

I'm a fan of facts, mostly, although I suppose it's nice to use both.

I think i will say Both .. Because U really Need Facts and Feats in Debating ..
Somethings need Only Feats to Prove and ViceVersa for the Facts ..
And Things Needs Both of them to prove ..

I use both but mostly I use feats.

It's much easier to be able to prove a point with something that is canon, and something a person actually accomplished. Plus it's easier to prove someone wrong with a feat if they were to say something non-canon or other things that fail.

I hadn't ever had a debate where I used interviews as a point, but I've brought up databook stats a few times.

For all you know, Obito would stomp someone of higher level like Madara (example), While someone as weak as Zaku could beat him because his techniques prove best against his Fire affinity.

Showing what they actually did such as destroy the multiverse for the lulz is a feat. Using a fact such as 'Well Akira Toriyama said that Krillin is really strong' doesn't mean there aren't other people stronger than him.

For example, saying Itachi is strong doesn't mean Naruto wouldn't stomp him in a fight.

I know he would though, but I could prove it saying he could use Susano'o or other feats like defeating Kakashi without breaking a sweat while Naruto could beat Kakashi, but not so fast and as swiftly as Itachi I suppose.

I guess it wasn't the best example but I'm being rushed and it was the first thing that popped into my head.

Oh and Valentine, you aren't a bad debater.

You pretty much use science skills, which I guess could be considered fact, I wouldn't think of sound traveling at 300 and some meters per second a feat.

You aren't a bad debater at all V :/

Anyways, I use mainly feats to back a claim for a character up, but sometimes I use facts to compare speeds and power of characters.

I perfer using feats in the BG. I'd say it's easier and also it's good to prove that the filler moves are wrong. I don't think I've ever used interviews in debates.

Though I do use Databook stats pretty often.

I agree, facts are nice, but it's important to use both. If not people won't take you seriously.

I think I'm number 3.
I use feats frequently, but I sometimes rely on Interviews. Databook entries not so much, but NP info definite yes.
