I.
Hello to you all. I'm sorry if I got your hopes up, but this is NOT the real roster to the game. And it's also not some little roster I made up. I am posting the current known roster to the game, reasonable additions to it, and I am collecting information on any updates or plausible rumors. Firstly, I would like to show you all (who don't know already) the confirmed roster to Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3. By the way, if I forget somebody please tell me immediately.

I believe this to be all. This is 28 characters, and it is promised that 35-40 characters will be implemented, something I am quite excited about. It has been said by TOMY that the STORY mode will cover the Gaara retrieval ark, but that is not the limit of the characters. This obviously means that this could go to at least the Sasuke and Sai ark. In this case, the most likely characters to be added are the following:
Sasuke
Sai
Yamato
Orochimaru
Kabuto
There has been a lot of debate over those guys, but Orochimaru was kinda half-confirmed earlier, and the debate kinda died down to a "duh, they'll be in..."
One more character is likely to be added in this case:
Ino
Sure, she's useless. Sure, we don't even know if she can do anything besides confusing people. Nevertheless.... WE NEED HER IN. First of all, the fact that she wasn't in the team Asuma video doesn't really mean much. If she is in, she was probably jam-packed with glitches during the release of that video since she'd have had a brand new character model, and (hopefully a few) new combos. If they take the EX3 approach and leave her out I'd be quite ticked off. Plus, they have said many times that they would put in brand new exclusive characterS. Let's see.... they've given us so many! Chiyo, and uh.... Chiyo.... and..... NOBODY ELSE. She would qualify as an exclusive character, and seriously, who else would they put in? Konohamaru could be in, but he can't do anything. By the way, they're obviously not putting in any Pain ark stuff, because that would exceed all of Japan's game's story capacities, which would be stupid; this gets rid of Konohamaru's rasengan, the only real reason he'd be a character. (I just don't know what to say about the "Sexy Jutsu in the ESRB description. All I take from that whole thing is HIDAN HIDAN HIDAN.[I mention that a bit farther down]) And this Matsuri stuff? SHES A FILLER CHARACTER. FROM A FILLER ARK. "I can swing around a string. Make me a playable character." Bando and Kagura are NOT filler, they're called original. Ino seems to pretty much be the only other option in my opinion, except for Shizune, who doesn't seen THAT unlikely, as she would be interesting (and Konohamaru). Izumo and Kotetsu is just kind of a wild speculation. Take note, TOMY is also taking a brand new approach for this series and actually TRYING to please fans. They know perfectly well how much hype there would be/is over Ino.
Anyway, these characters are likely to be put in because that would only make the roster have 34 characters, when over 35 was promised. The minimum amount of characters would be 37 in this case. These two characters seem like a big leap of faith, but if you think back on it for a bit, there's no big reason why they should be left out:

Kakuzu
I would be delighted if these two were included, haha. The English dub of Shippuden will be far from the Sasuke ark by the time this game was released, let alone this. So, if they're putting in Sasuke ark characters, why not these, lol. ESRB confirmed Hidan by like 7/8ths anyway. This would STILL only put the roster at 36, the minimum.

Videos are coming out every week of combos and characters! So far they have done a Team Kakashi video with just Naruto, Sakura,and Kakashi, a Team Guy video with all of the Team Guy guys,(guy guys lol) a team Asuma video with everybody but Ino (hurts her chances just a little bit, see above.), a team Kurenai video, with everybody in her squad (including Hinata who can transform into her awakened or "byakugan" state, something I'm psyched about)an Akatsuki video with Itachi, Kisame, Hiruko, Sasori, and Deidara, a video of the Sand Ninja featuring none other than Gaara, Kankuro, Temari, Baki, and Chiyo, and at last a pretty miscallaneous video with Yugao (meh, whatever) Anko, with a curse mark state, looks awesome, Jiraiya and Tsunade. If we don't get anything new next time I'll just be ticked off, especially considering the story mode video sucked.
V.
The game is all finished, and now being distributed! Still over a month of waiting, unfortunately. Right now, most people (including me) will not be happy with any videos without new content. Well, they're fun to watch anyways, but still. They have to give us new information eventually. Still at least 8 more characters to be confirmed, which isn't really that much. I hate how they're postponing the release of any new characters. I mean, not even any word on Sasuke or Sai, even though Asuma and Choji were confirmed like a month and a half ago. Look, there would plainly be 5 more characters from EX2, Sasuke, Sai, Orochimaru, (who I can't even believe they're still hiding after a sannin video) Yamato and Kabuto. That bumps up our current knowledge from 28 to 33. Then we have Hidan and Kakuzu, pushing it to 35. We have room for their extra exclusive character, which had better be Ino at least. Many people are now assuming 39 characters, which sounds fine. They are basing it on the fact that the character selection could have 40 boxes with the random box. I am still looking forward to this, but I haven't pre-ordered it yet.

Yugao? What? I mean, her Senzai Ninriki looks fun, but come on. After Anko, they're just filling up space now. Whatever.
