Well, it's been ten years since Kishimoto wrote the manga. The anime debut was in 2002.

It took him 10 years to be 4 years older. If 100 is 10x10, then multiply 3x10 (or in this case, 4x10) and add it to Naruto's current age. 4x10=40, 16+40=56. So he wouldn't be 45, but 56.

But there are only 90 years left to work with, so he'd end up being 52 at this rate after 100 years of Naruto.
