*Spoilers if you haven't read/seen Shippuden*

So, I was bored over the weekend so I read the entire manga again. Now, the first time reading it I didn't really pay attention to it, so I didn't notice, but the story severely lacks in constant character development. For example, after Naruto reverts from the 4 tail on the bridge after fighting Orochimaru, Yamato starts to talk about how Sakura feels about Naruto, obviously going to end up saying that she really loves him. But Naruto wakes up before he can finish, then they basically don't even touch upon the subject except for maybe a few little instances.

This happens several times throughout the manga and anime. So am I the only one who thinks that maybe there needs to be more done on this side of the series?

I'm okay with it. We already have lots of more important things going on and they might be touched upon later.

Well, In the latest chapter 458, Sai tells Sakura that Naruto loves her. And that he thinks she feels the same...

Yeah, so I guess they do pick up the storylines eventually.
