I like reading, but sadly I read all the good books in my town.
I sometime go to a different county with a big library , so anyone recommend any good books?
What narrative genre do you like - action, adventure, mystery, etc? I can probably make a few good suggestions based on your preferences ^^

Thanks Soccer Ninja 21! And yes, Rick Riordan rocks. I can't wait to read more Percy Jackson books! I haven't read The Twelve Kingdoms epic yet, but I'll have to try it now! I have read the first of the Warriors series and I loved it. I'd like to read the rest.
I actually live on the Olympic Peninsula, about 70 miles NE of Forks, where Twilight is set. You get Twilight overload out here, big time. We even have cruise ships that stop at Port Angeles just to go to the Twilight store. Oh well, at least it's helped the local economy! But I'm still not a romance novel person.
I read the first two of the Sword of Shannara trilogy by Terry Brooks and enjoyed them pretty much. I suspect Paolini read them too because the Inheritance cycle reads like a vastly improved Terry Brooks novel.
I guess it goes without saying that J.K. Rowling is one of the most gifted writers out there. I just wish the movies were more like the books.
I do appreciate the recommendations! Let me know any more if you find some. I'll do the same!
Sorry to heard about the Twilght overload! Some kids from my school go nutty about it, the whole nine yards, shirts that say "Team Edward" prolonged discussion about how cute the actor who plays Jake is. The list goes on and on.
Sword of Shannara? Sounds interseting, I do believe I'll read it.
J.k Rowling is definalty on of the most talented writers of the time. But being a not-so-big Harry Potter fan, i enjoyed the movies greatly. Also I hope to work in movies someday, as a diector, so I appreacte the effects and the actors greatly, more so than others, I guess.
I'm glad to heard about you reading the warriors Books, at least the first. Erin Hunter has a new series out, Seekers, its about bears, skip it. Its a disappointment compared to Warroirs.
Two of my all time favorite authors, Walter Dean Myers and Sharon M. Draper, I highly recommand. Myers has written some good ones, like, "Bad Boy" his autobio. and "Fallen Angels" a book based on the a solider in Vietnam I believe. Draper has written an AWE-MAZING trilogy called the Hazelwood High Trilogly. The books are, "Tears of a Tiger" which I feel was the best of the three, Darkness before Dawn, and Forged by Fire. All of these are pretty dark in some ways, the first actullay had me crying.
Isn't lit. great when I fools with your emotions?

Every time I see "The Sword of Shanara" I become angry. =P
I tried to read it once, and it was just blahhhhh. I could not get into it, it was just so bland and boring. It's one of two books I've picked up and could not finish; the other being The Hobbit.

Charlie Bone/Children of the Red King (Amazing series. Sorta Harry Potter-ish but the characters are just so lovable XD Especially Asa)
Star Wars: The Han Solo Trilogy
Star Wars: Junior Jedi Knights+Young Jedi Knights(your gonna have a hard time getting these. They came out in the 90's and they are out of print)

Um fictional Books, hmmm I recommend either Lord Of The Rings or the Narnia Books :) Of course if ya are feeling antireligous or curious, you could always read The Origin Of Species-Charles Darwin ~_^

:O You should really read more. Reading helps to improve your vocabulary, and overall make you smarter. Helping you to understand small things in every day life in more detail ,and complex things which not many people know.
They're not all snore bore stories about women drinking tea with their friends and chatting about life :L
Some books are really really good. I reccommend you read more!!Try Lord Of The Rings,or Narnia. Both good fictional books :)

The books I have read are both Harry Potter books. My vocabulary is already and a large quantity and even with the risk of sounded conceited I am smarter than most, as says my 157 IQ. I have told by many that I am the most observant person they have ever met and am partially psychic. I may read another book eventually, but if I do it will be for entertainment.

I wouldn't be able to survive without books! They really do make you smarter; reading has even been shown to help your performance in math.

To anyone who hasn't read it I suggest 13 Reasons Why, it's really sad, but so good. And, another favorite of mine is Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment.

I loved both of those! But The Final Warning was so terribly written. Hopefully the next few Maximum Ride books will be better.
Anyone wanna recommend a book for me to read?

I suggest you go to a library and ask for some advise on good books to read. Otherwise... read something you haven't.

XD, another series i have but have given up on...
I got bored after the 3rd, i felt they were just dragging it on in the 4th. But im still excited about the movie ^^.
But still id recommend, Ken Follett, Dean Koontz, Darren Shan for younger readers, Steven King is always a gd choice. Classics by George Orwell r gd, The kite runner and To kill a mockingbird are two of my favourites. I would suggest The Lord of The Rings trilogy for anyone looking for a challenge. The ring/the spiral and the loop r an awesome trilogy. And Battle Royale is a MUST read for teens. My personal favourite is Cody McFadyen, a relatively new author with a heap of talent. anyway have fun reading ^^

Same here! My first grade teacher took a Harry Potter book away from me because she said it was "too hard." I threw a fit, so she had me read some of it aloud to prove that I could understand it. Then she just said, "Okay, carry on," o.O and handed it back. I very jealously guarded my books after that XD.
I've read a few Dan Brown books, and Stephen King, but I didn't enjoy them very much. I love Jane Austin. <3

That's funny. The same happened to me, back in third grade (I was on to harder things then, but I kept rereading harry potter). I was walking in the hall, and this 5th grader walks over, takes my book, and says "You're too young and stupid to read this!" All I say is, "Want a spoiler?" He said "No." and gave me my book back. I love being able to tease people about endings ;)
