but who actually took care of baby Naruto? I mean both his parents were dead when he was a baby and pretty much all the village hated him because they saw him not as the saviour who keeps the nine tailed fox from killing them all but rather as the fox iteself...so who would have took care of him, fed him and changed his diapers / nappies as he grew up?

And on a similar note where did he get his apartment?

I assume he was taken in by the village council and raised by the important people in the village out of respect for the fourths sacrifice. Once he was old enough to fend for himself he was probably given the apartment and given a living allowance from the village.

Well that does make sense I guess. Just never really saw anybody being up for the job considering that untill they actually took the time to get to know him and become his friends...everyone wanted nothing to do with him

So I'm sure he played a big part in taking care of him, making sure he was well-fed, etc.

And I'm guessing in his later years, Iruka sensei had a helping hand as well.
