Before posting a thread in this forum, please search first because it is very likely your problem has already been asked by someone and solved in the forums. This helps to keep the forum tidy and organised. Also, if your problem fits with one of the multiple sticky threads, please post in those rather than just making a whole new thread. :)

How to ask for help:

Give details
List things you have tried
Give any extra info that could be helpful
Make it easy to read
Answer questions you are asked

When asking for help on the internet try to give details (like your internet browser, your operating system, what program you were using, how it happened), things you've tried, and anything else that is helpful. Make sure you're putting in effort into your own question, by answering questions people ask. If you're not willing to answer any questions, don't expect other people will be willing to answer yours. By typing as best as you can, you make it easier for people to understand and read your questions.

Lets try this scenario:
Sally: "Hey guys, my computer won't work, how do I fix it?"
[ ... ] [No replies to her question]

What went wrong? Sally forgot to add helpful information to her question. "my computer won't work" does not narrow down the problems. Is it a internet problem? Is she having trouble with a program? Her screen is messed up? We simply don't know unless she gives us information.

Lets try this one:
Sally: "Hey guys, my computer is getting popups, I did a virus scan and it didn't find anything. How do I fix it?"
John: "Try doing a spyware scan, then restart your computer."

Whoa, see how helpful that was? Details can clear things up fast and give good answers to your question. Hopefully Sally fixed her problem. If she ever has anymore questions, you can bet that she'll add details.

Also, give your title some meaning. "Plz help", "broke", "Need help", "Dont know what to do" are not good titles. They could have so much more meaning, instead try "popups problem", "mouse problem", "can't view this site", something related to your problem.

Following these tips can make things a lot easier on you and the person helping you.

I see what you did there shika

I found a typo. Err said "except" instead "expect" (1st paragraph after list, 3rd sentence)
but other than that, great help

Also forgot an apostrophe, but whatever. The point is, giving information is vital when trying to get it.
