Really though, this would solve all problems, but there's only one fic I've ever read that's had it, and technically, that one was a KakaSasuNaruHinaSakuIno. Which is also pretty awesome.

A guy named jim bader did some phenominal poly ranma 1/2 fanfics way back in the day. Super long, like 5 series with hundreds of chapters 30-100 pages long.

And poly is WAY harder than monogamy, TRUST ME. It takes 5 times more empathy and commitment to have 2 poly partners than 1 monogamous partner.

I think that may be the reason no one does it... very difficult, but I think with all the understanding between the characters that it would be possible if a decent writer took the idea up.
