"Fire Style: Phoenix Ember!" A small stream of fire ejected from Chinsei's mouth, and headed straight for Gaki. As it closed in, it spread, but he was able to jump over the flames, and landed several steps in front of Chinsei. With his Ryouchigan activated, he began to watch Gaki's Chakra flow through his arms, and out of his fingertips. He also kept an eye on his Byakugan. The Chakra pressure around his eyes was not very much, but he noticed that it was more than Gin or Kin ever needed to use.

"Gaki, try to tone the Byakugan down, you might be able to use your Fire Chakra in the Gentle Fist without hurting your eyes." Gaki tried to do it, but wasn't able to do anything but completely turn on, or completely turn off his Byakugan eyes yet. With nobody to teach him, there wasn't much he could do about that. "Ok boys, take a break." Sabra was sitting up in a tree watching the fight. She jumped down gracefully, and walked over to the men.

"Sensei, you're getting pretty good with the Fire Chakra. In a little over a month, you've been able to get down several Fire Jutsu, not to mention the other Elements." He smiledd, and rubbed the back of his head. "I've got to incredible young ninja teaching me." "Hey, isn't time for you to go meet Kin?" His eyes went from green to the normal hazel color. "Yea, I gotta go, or I'll be late. I love how you guys are getting revenge on me for the training you were put through." Before they could respond, he was gone.

He ran through the Village, almost leaving a dust cloud in his wake. After a month of training, he had gotten the Chakra Control for each element down enough to perform the Jutsu, but not good enough to incorporate it into anything else. He had also gotten used to his new found speed and reflexes, which he had to thank the Couatl for. He rounded a corner, and headed for the training field, to see Kin standing in the middle of the field, wire in hand.

She tossed the Kunai at him, and tried to tie him up. He was faster than she was this time, and was able to sink underneath the ground. He reappeared about 50 feet behind her, and began some hand signs. "Earth Style: Trembler!" He placed a hand to the ground, and rumbling was heard underneath. The ground began to waver, almost like a sea of dirt, with medium sized waves. He made another hand sign, and the earth shifted again, this time, knocking Gin over. She focused Chakra into the ground, getting a feel for Chinsei's Chakra, and was able to make a stable area around her. She pulled something from her pocket, and smiled.

"Now sensei, you're supposed to be studying lightening today... Here let me remind you." Kin threw a baseball sized sphere up into the air. Chinsei watched as she flicked her wrist at it and a small jolt caused the ball to burst open. In a heartbeat of space he recongized summoning symbols, then black rods shot out in a circular arc from the sphere of paper.

The jonin looked at the metal structures that had landed around the chunin. He watched as her hands opened and sparks started to crackle around the rods. "Times like these I remember you grew up with Gin." Chinsei said as he dodged a bolt of electricity thrown not from her, but from one of the rods that encircled her position.

The blond chuckled, "Yes I did, and both of us fight dirty." Another jolt rocketed out at him as Kin pointed at him. He could see where her chakra went into the ground and then into the rods with his Ryouchigan. He relized as he watched that she was converting the chakra twice, this was well beyond the level of skill she'd shown him before. It made him almost fear what she might be able to do if she were being serious with him.

Sabra rubbed at her shoulder as Gaki walked with her down the mountian trail. "Itching again?" "Yes, horribly, it just hurts so much to scratch at it." The ex-hyuuga reached over and tapped her joint with a little touch. She felt the whole area go numb, and smiled at him. "One of these days you have to teach Gin to do that. It's about the only thing she can't do medically." The boy shrugged at that. "She could if she thought about it, she's just not the type that would realize she could stop pain like that. She really doesn't care how much pain her patients are in, just that they live."

The pink haired girl nodded in agreement. "You're right... But I have to go see her now, I'll see you back at Sasoku's tonight." She started to jog away, but he called after her. "Okay, but he gets back tonight, so don't expect anything too fun." The girl glanced back at him and mouthed the word pervert at him as she ran off. Gaki grinned as he watched her go, then turned back toward the training grounds. He was going to practice his control over the Byakugan, Chinsei kept insisting he should be using less chakra for it, but that was proving harder then expected.

The speed of the lighting increased, and he had could barely blink without risking getting hit. It seemed like he was jumping around every second. He might have put up a wall of earth, but Lighting beats Earth on the Elemental Cycle. "I'm impressed Gin, I never saw you as being able to get this skilled. I'm proud of you." As he said this, he tossed a kunai at her, but it was struck down with lightning. He tossed several more, and each was shot down.

As he jumped around, he sent a barrage of shuriken and kunai at her, but all of them were struck down. "Why all this effort to use your lightning to block the weapons? Can't you move during this technique?" He noticed a fluctuation in her Chakra. "I'm gonna take that as a no." He attempted to lift the rods out of the ground with Gravity Style, but noticed that his control was significantly weaker than he remembered, and he had to exert more Chakra to use it. He was running around, while trying to lift the rods up, and was struck by an arc of lightning.

Kin smirked as she watched him hit the earth, then he almost seemed to melt below it. The next thing she knew she was looking at the sky as his fist jolted her head back. The girl hit the ground with a dazed expression. She recovered after a split moment as Chinsei started to reach to grab her.

Her hands hit the ground and he felt it move under him. He jumped out of the way as a volley of needles was set off from where she'd been standing before he hit her.

"When in hell... Oh, you dropped a trap at your feet when you threw the first one into the air." Chinsei said as he landed next to one of the rods. "Very perceptive," Kin said as she sat up, rubbing her bruised jaw. The needles fell back to earth relatively harmlessly as she glared at him. The jonin ripped a rod from the ground and threw it as far from the circle as he could. "I beat that also breaks the technique."

He watched his student's lips curl up in a somehow visious looking grin, "No." Lightening ran up his sides from two of the other rods as the teen rocketed to her feet. He stood stunned, and a little scorched as the chakra left his body. "That wasn't fair..." "I said I fought dirty."

Haruna shifted to the side. She was still getting comfortable with her new uniform and hair. The mask she could live with. But hey, it had only been a few days. The kunoichi stared at herself in the mirror and thought back those couple days, to when she made ANBU.

----Two days before----

Lady Hiroko returned to her seat. "I'll have to admit, I was questioning if you would ever be...stable again...after what happened."

"His funeral was a month ago. I'll be fine."

"What happened to set you right?"

The thirteen-year-old thought it over. "...Someone talked some sense into me, and I finally listened."

----Back to present----

She sighed. Her rank wasn't the only change. The girl had decided to be more civil to the people who cared about her. She wouldn't call them friends, for fear of jinxing them, but she would often be seen with them when she was off-duty.

On top of that, her hair was now a solid black tied in a ponytail. If she didn't have her feminine structure, she would have sworn she was the spitting image of the dead man she impersonated when Chou and Akemi were searching for Chinsei, those many nights ago.

Haruna turned away from the looking glass. She couldn't spend her whole day staring at her own reflection. With one last flick of her ponytail, she was gone.

---------

Isamu scratched Nikki behind the ears. "Just wait a few more days, buddy. In just four days, brother will be eighteen and we can move out of our dad's house. You can live with me again!" He smiled. "We'll be free, atleast until father wants to visit. But we'll still have more freedom than before!"

The dog barked and wagged his tail. The brunet laughed. A few minutes later, Itsuki came running down the street.

"Isamu, come on, we need to start cleaning! Dad comes home tomorrow. Hurry."

"Buy, Nikki. See you soon."

Gin looked up from a leather couch as Haruna came into the room. The meeting was ANBU and they all looked alike, but the girls knew eachother despite the uniforms. There were four of them now, aside from the person who was giving the meeting. "Alright, you're the last, now I'm going to brief you on your next mission." Said the tallest of the masked men as Haruna sat down.

Sabra arrived at the Nibairou house to find it empty. She looked around confused, this was when she was supposed to be here. The pet trainer wondered where her personal healer had disappeared to. She was leaving when she spotted Akemi in the street. The pink haired girl ran to her long time friend. "Akemi, wow you look so go!" She said as she came to the other woman, who practically seemed to be glowing in happiness.

The jonin giggled at her younger friend. "You and Chinsei just have to flatter me everytime you see me, don't you?" She said as she hugged the chunin, carefull of her shoulder. "Have you read into the future yet? To see what it's going to be?" Sabra asked as she looked the woman up and down. "No, I think I want a surprise for a change." The psychic chimmed with a grin.

The green eyed chunin smiled at her, then seemed to remember something. "Akemi, did you ever figure out why your readings on me were wrong when I was little?" The older ninja shook her head, "No. Why, is something wrong?" Sabra glanced away with a little blush. "I was wondering about a reading, but I'm not sure if it'd work for me." Akemi patted her friend's uninjured shoulder. "Never know till ya try, but I have to buy groceries first." The chunin nodded, "I'll go with you. You shouldn't be carrying too much right now, anyway."

After the shopping was taken care of and the grocceries had been put away, the two kunoichi sat at a low table. Akemi took Sabra's hand and turned it palm-up. She bit her lip. Last time she had done this, she had seen the death of a genin. That particular reading is one she never told anyone about.

She traced her finger along the chunin's love line. "I see a lot of excitement. Expect a surprise in your near future."

---------

Itsuki opened the door to a knock. Aiko stood before him. She wore a long, white dress with green trimming and a green bow.

"Hello. Can I help you?" the designer asked.

"Actually, I came to help you. I know your father is returning tomorrow, so I thought you might want some assistance cleaning up." The Light nin flashed him a smile.

The brunet blinked in surprise. "Two things. One: it's really creepy when you don't swear. Two: aren't you worried about if the other Kagomes see you?"

She shook her head. "They don't know what country I'm from, and it would be easier for them to recognize me if I did swear. So can I help or what?"

"Come on in," Itsuki replied, stepping aside.

I don't think I have to say who the genin was.

Aiko has been staying in the Leaf since her surgery. When Chou or Shisui are in Konoha, she lives with them. When those two are in the Light, she lives with Kobe and Kea. She needs to live with a medic regardless, in case something goes terribly wrong with the seal, and she isn't allowed to travel much. Too much training is a no-no as well.

"A surprise? What kind of surprise?" Sabra asked as she looked down at her hand. "If I told you that it wouldn't be a surprise." "Akemi!" The older ninja laughed as she let go of the chunin's hand. "Would it help if I said it had to do with Gaki?" The pink haired girl huffed. "No, you know that! He's exactly the reason I wanted the reading." The jonin waved at the girl as she stood. "I have to make lunch, your mother should be expecting you."

Kin relaxed as she watched her sensei starting to get the hang of metal channeling for his electricity. The watch on her arm started beeping, and she turned it off while telling Chinsei to stop. "What is it?" He asked while coming to look at the time. "I have to go into town and start looking for gifts. Itsuki and Isamu's birthday is coming up later this week, and I still haven't got them anything."

Chinsei looked at the shiny gem in the girl's hair. "I was told that Isamu made that gift for you. How do you plan to top that?" He asked while starting to think about what Itsuki might like. "I have no idea if I even can. I might not give him a gift..." The man raised his brow at her. "Why not?" The girl smiled as she held a hand behind her head. "I think he'd probly prefer a date over anything I could buy in a store."

Steel meet wood slicing thru like it was nothing. A flash of white braid as the person holding the sliced bow spun on his heel. His other foot cought the attacker in the shoulder and spun him around, giving the archer time to stab into him with the broken edge of his weapon.

Zen pushed the other man and forced him to the ground while stomping on the hand with the blade from before. The teen looked up from his target to the person overseeing the fight. The tall dark haired man was making notes on a clipboard. "I'll submit your test to the Hokage for consideration." He said as he stepped over another fallen ninja to get to Zen. He seemed to be quite satified for some reason.

"I'm sure you'll be ranked up, from this mess at least." The unnamed man explained as he looked around the field at the other fallen combatants. "Something tells me I should have asked for more then four guys to test you. Now get off him, and help me take them for medical treatment." He said in a very matter-of-fact way as he slid the clipboard under his arm and knelt to pick up one of the people in plain black clothing.

"I had thought I'd told you to make sure your weapons were safety guarded for this." He said as he looked at the man Zen had been standing on. "I tried to, if he hadn't sliced my bow in two I wouldn't have stabbed him." The teen said while pulling the wood from the person's back. The tester yelled as it came free. "You are a little bast**d," he hissed, even as Zen picked him up. "Yeah, I'm sure it's not the first time I've been called that."

The injured man chuckled harshly. "Yeah, you and that bit**y woman of your's are a real pair." The white haired chunin stopped moving and dropped the man, making him fall to the ground from the unexpected action. The teal eyed boy kicked him in the chest, sending him backwards across the grass. The dark haired examiner grabbed the teen's arm as he stalked toward the fallen man. "You wouldn't want to risk your rank for an insult." He said, curving the younger man's temper. "You're right, he's not worth it." Zen said as he turned his back on the person, "But I'm not carrying him." He added as he went to one of the unconcious testers.

"Well, good luck with the gift search, but if what you say is true, maybe something pretty for your date might be better." "Sensei!" "I gotta go meet Shin for training, and then I have something special planned for Akemi! Bye!" He waved, and disappeared. He ran towards the spot where he and Shin had been meeting for the past few days, and when he got there, he did not see Shin, but he saw the area set up.

He tripped a wire, and several large knives came flying towards him. He made some hand signs, and the air around him began to move in a clockwise motion, creating a barrier. "Shin, where are you!?" "I'm right here!" That didn't help much, because he was using some sort of ventriloquist jutsu to mask the location. 'Come on Shin....Keep talking...' He focused some Chakra to his ears, and the surrounding air to try and pinpoint the sound waves of Shin's voice.

Gigen walked into the Village. He had been called back for a mission, but he haad been allowed to return back, to check on Aiko. Even though Chou and Shisui were regulars, he wanted to see her himself. As long as nobody knew about the little Genjutsu he cast to make them let him, he was all set. He had decided to bring Konomashii with him, for what reason, he had no idea.

Konomashii had actually changed his appearance a lot. Instead of his old outfit, he now wore white sandals, long black shorts, with a red shirt, and mesh underneath. His personality however, was still that of a flirt. "Konomashii, stop looking at your reflection and lets go!" He had stopped to look in a little puddle. "Gigen, calm down. You're just upset because you think I'm hot." "I may like guys as well as girls, but your personality completely turns everyone off." They continues to walk forward, looking for the house that Aiko was currently staying in.

Sasoku walked past the gates of Konoha and hit the ground. He touched it with his hands and bobbed his head happily before leaning back with a smile spread ear to ear. "Thank god no more sand!" He yelled out for anyone nearby to hear as he ripped the cloak from around his shoulders and stood. The gate guards looked at him then to eachother and just shook their heads as he came over to sign in.

"That display mean you didn't like it back in your home town?" One of the guards asked. "Oh hell no! I couldn't be happier to be back in the Leaf!" The red head waved to them and practically skipped off into town. He figured he'd hit home first, then report to the Hokage. As he went though he spotted two people he wasn't sure should of been in town.

The teen sped up just a touch to where he could see the two. "It is you guys. Long time no see. What's a pair of Light's doing here?" He said as he moved backward up in front of Gigen and Konomashii. They looked at him strangely. "Oh I guess I must look weird in Suna styled cloths. It's me Sasoku we had our first and second chunin exams together."

The ginger glanced behind him to check how far he had to go before he might hit something before looking back at the other two ninjas. "I guess you're probly here for Aiko." The two nodded to that, still not sure what to make of the seemingly hyper teen. "Have either of you seen her yet?" "No." Gigen said beginning to get irritated at the boy. "Oh man, she is so hot with how she changed, shame I had a mission so soon after she got back on her feet." The blue eyed chunin heard the genjustu user make something close to a growling sound at him. "What, can't a guy look?"

Nick Tasogare

"Well, I guess it's ok for you to look, seeing as you don't need to be afraid of repercussions." "What do you mean, 'repercussions'?" "Well, I mean, it's ok for you to sin, seeing as you have the devil in you." Sasoku looked even more bewildered than normal. Konomashii was laughing hard. "What are you talking about?" "Well, with that red hair, you have to be the devil's spawn, right?" "What? I don't follow." "What do you think I'm talking about, you ginger!?" He pulled a playing card from his pocket, and flicked it at Sasoku's forehead. He instantly fell to the ground. Gigen picked him up, and put him in a trash can. "Gigen......wow." "Shut up Konomashii!" He stalked forward, looking for the house Aiko was staying in. Konomashii looked at Sasoku lying there, and played with his hair a bit. "You coming nurse!?" He quit, and ran to catch Gigen.

The field was littered with weapons. "Well, Chinsei, you did pretty good, but, training time is--" Chinsei took off for the Village. ".....over." He ran to the house, to find Akemi sitting on the steps with some food. "It's about time, I just finished lunch, oh, half an hour ago?" He moved in to kiss her, but moved his head at the last second to smell the food. "Mmmmm, you made my favorite." "You tease!" He looked at her, with puppy dog eyes. "Whatever could you mean dear?" She rolled her eyes, and he kissed her cheek. He picked her up, and carried her in the house. He would eat later, seeing as Shiro had already started to chow down.

Kin knocked on the door of the Kagome household. It was a moment before Aiko answered. "Oh, I didn't know you were here." "Helping clean, come on in." The exchange was overheard by Isamu who came from the kitchen. "I thought you were supposed to be helping Chinsei out." The blond shrugged, "Finished already."

The dark haired chunin asked her to sit, and went to a seat across from her's as Aiko went back to the room she'd been in before. Leaving the two alone for a moment in the living room. "Is there something you needed? Nothing for the school again, I hope." Kin laughed the question off, "No, far from. I came to ask you something."

Isamu raised a brow at her and she continued. "I'd like to know if you'd want to go out for your birthday." A slight grin turned the corners of the girl's mouth as she watched all sorts of emotions play over his face, she waited for an answer in amusement.

Sasoku stirred from the jutsu induced sleep. Finding himself shoulder deep and in a very odd position in a not so pleasant receptical. "Dammit not again! This time there wasn't even sake involved, lame..." He rocked back and forth in the canister barely able to move.

He finally sighed when he couldn't seem to turn it over and looked up at a lightpole a few feet away. "Well I guess I can put my work to good use." His fingers lite with a flicker of blue chakra as he concentrated on the pole and then like a cork coming out of a bottle he popped from his little prison.

Brushing himself off he tried not to look at anyone as he headed away from the offending can. He stalked to his house and set about cleaning himself off. If it was one thing he hated it was being dirty. It was part of why he'd hated Suna so much.

"Umm, Chinsei?" He looked at her as they were walking into the house. "Shiro just ate ALL the food I made...." "Oh....." They both looked at Shiro, who proceeded to lay down, and cover her eyes with her paws. "Well, she is pregnant.....you know what that's like." She gave him am unamused expression, and raised an eyebrow. "Hey, how about I take you out to dinner? My treat!" "It'd better be your treat." she tried to get out of his arms, but he didn't let her. "Ahahah. You aren't walking my dear. Shiro, in the house, k?" She got up and walked into the house, almost sulking. He clicked his tongue at her, and she looked back. He moved his head, and she came to his side. The three walked to a restaurant near by, Akemi on Chinsei's back.

Zen had returned to his home only to end up being turned right around and sent into town by his mother. He rubbed at his face as he walked. This was no way for him to live if he wanted to convince Gin to marry him. He'd have to stop being his mom's errand boy, and move out. At least with ranking up he'd get a raise in pay per mission, and he hoped for more missions. He couldn't stay with his family much longer, they were all pestering him about when he'd be adding to the clan.

The young man was raking a hand thru his hair in agrivation when he passed a pair of girls who smiled at him. That sort of thing was not helping his case either. His father had even started not so secretly dropping hints at him to leave Gin and find another 'nice young lady' to date. It was distracting and annoying, but he couldn't say much while still under his family roof. He just had to make Jonin, and the sooner the better.

Sabra was sitting in the living room floor watching the babies play. Danshi was harassing Onyx, trying to grab the ferret to hold it. Kimaru was more interested in the shiny tassels that Ruby kept trying to steal away from him. The two older ferrets had taken to the children quite well. The little boys were a handful to tend to now that they'd started crawling.

Sheu came from the kitchen and smiled down at the big sister and her brothers. "Sabra, can you go get me some things from town. Your mother seems to have forgotten them from last time she went." The teen stood, careful of little fingers and paws, "Of course." She chitttered and two little bouncing forms came off a pallet and up her pants legs. Aoi and Kuro darted up into the hidden places in her sleeves.

Sheu handed the girl a list. "I'll watch them dear, you go on." The older woman assured as she looked down at the babies and the remaining pets. They were so cute together that Sabra had stopped taking the parent ferrets out. Probly best considering how old they were getting. About time Ruby was retired anyway, and Onyx wasn't as spry as he once was.

Psst. Could someone PM me on whats going on. I've been gone for 4 days.

SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE

Footsteps sounded down the metal hallway followed by a stream of fire and debri. Kobe whirled behind a corner narrowly escaping. He took a second to breathe before a small sphere landed near him. Cursing he sprinted for the a doorway. The door was locked forcing to press up into the frame of the door as another explosion blasted by. Lightening descendant busted the door down in a few hits. In front of him was all the evidence he needed.

BACK TO NOW

Animal testing, it was still happening long after the dragon attack and Black Ops was covering for it. He had broken into every Black Ops facility and found the same results. It was time to take over. Animal testing was only the tip of the iceberg though. There was still the kidnappings that they were responsible for.

An emergency meeting was called for all Blac Ops members. Everyone stood on bended knee with their heads down. A rough looking man walked into the room. "As you know there have been 5 different break ins over the past month in all our labs. By now we know it is someone inside, one of you, the elite. Now I'll give you one chance. Who ever did it stand up and we will allow you 5 minute head start." Silence followed until one of the figures stood and took off his mask partially. "Kobe. I should of known. Alright you may-" He was cut off by all 100 members standing and taking off their masks. Suddenly the leader was flanked by two members as Kobe strode up to him. The man didn't looked surprised only grinning slightly, "You really are something else Yamashi Kobe. Turning my elites against me." "It was you who turned them. All I did was show them the truth. Even brainwashed ninjas could see that you are the one against Konaha."

The black jonin turned to walk away as they started restraining the ex leader. "I know where your father is Kobe. If you let them kill me now you will never know where he is." Kobe stopped and turned his head, "You're pathetic." Raising a hand they lead the man away. As they dragged him away Kobe called out, "Don't worry they won't kill you just yet. The elders are about to find out. I'll let them deal with you."

One black ops member walked up to Kobe, "You know we don't have to close black ops down. All we need is new leadership and we all agree that you should be put in charge." The wood user raised an eyebrow and suppressed a grin in order to save face, "I'll consider it." In a flash he was gone.

As Kobe raced home we let out all his joy. It was time to put the last phase of his plan into action.

Kea came to the front of the house with a rag in hand when she heard happy yells from her friend. She leaned her shoulder on the wall and watched the jonin practically dance as he threw his armor off around the room. "You seem happy, that mean things went as well as you'd planned?"

The tall man dashed to her scooping the thin woman up by her waist and twirling with her. "Better then that even. It went flawlessly. Everyone I'd convenced of what their leaders had been doing stood with me. I didn't see a couple of people there, but I'm sure the change of order will reach them soon enough." He sat her down while headed for the stairs. "Now I just have to put my other plans in action."

Kea called after him. "Can your all important plans wait while you have lunch, I made your favorite." The afro haired man peeked back down at her from around the stairs. "Really?" "Yes." "Then they sure can." He started down toward her again as she laughed at him, and headed toward the kitchen where the food was laid out and ready to eat.

Gin and Haruna left their meeting with their other two members following. A messenger passed them with a frantic look on his face. "I wonder what that's about." Gin murmured as they continued. "Don't care. We should start getting ready if we're supposed to leave in just two days." Haruna said as they broke away from the other two. "I agree, we're supposed to travel all the way to one of the northern countries and I have no clothing or gear for cold weather." The silver eyed girl waved to her friend, she had to go get out of uniform, and then go shopping.

"Kin, I'd love to, but you have to be very careful." Isamu shifted nervously, blushing. "Father is gonna be back tomorrow, and it was dangerous enough for you to come by today. It may be safe if Kyou, Itsuki, and I move into our new house beforehand or...You might still want to disguise yourself, in case father wants to pop by..."

"Sorry to interrupt, guys, but I'm gonna go. See ya!" Aiko waved as she left the house.

--------

"Kobe, Kea, I'm home!" she called.

Kea poked her head into the room. "Welcome back. You didn't collapse while you were out, did you?"

The winged kunoichi chuckled. "Not today."

"You have some visitors. They just arive a few minutes ago."

She cocked her head to the side. Two males walked into the room. Konomashii and Gigen, the last two people she had expected to see. The joker had a green bandana tied over his duel colored hair.

"Hey guys! What are you doing here?"

Her boyfriend tried to pull her into a hug, but she cringed. He stuffed his hands in his pockets. "I wanted to come see you. I've missed you."

"I've missed you, too. It's just..."

"I know. We heard about what happened." He looked her up and down. "You look really great, but isn't that hard to fight in?"

"It wouldn't matter. I can't fight for a while anyway." She smiled nervously. "It's going to be a huge shock when I start training again."

Kin raised a hand toward her face thinking that over as she did to. "How about you pick me up sometime tomorrow? We can go somewhere in town that has those nice big booths where we're harder to see, and I can find a big pretty hat to help cover my hair. That way I'm not trying to hold onto a jutsu I'm bad at for very long. If we do it right your dad shouldn't see my face at all." She said while seeming to think about something else while speaking, then she finally looked back at Isamu. "New house? What do you mean by new house?"

____

Kea came out where the teens were after overhearing their talk. "Don't even think about that right now. You're still recovering, and I don't plan on letting you use any more chakra then you have to till Kobe says you're well." She said with giving Gigen a short glare for having mentioned fighting. Aiko rolled her eyes at the other woman. "Of course 'mom'." Her voice rung in mocking, but they smiled at eachother reguardless. "If you three want to go out go ahead, but I better not hear about you boys causing her trouble, she'd been thru alot." Kea told them while leaning on the wall.

The three walked out off the house, and separated. Konomashii was gonna go find some chicks to fool around with, while Gigen tried to cheer Aiko up. "So what's been going on, you haven't been in the light much, me and Sensei have been worried about you." "I've just been having some problems. Nothing for you to worry about." "You know I'm still gonna worry. Hey, what's this?" He pointed at her shirt. She looked down, and he flicked her nose. She whacked him hard on the head. "Owww! What was that for, I was trying to make you feel better." When he looked up, she was still walking away. "Wait up!"

Konomashii hadn't been in the Leaf for awhile. He had almost forgot how hot the girls here were. Especially the kunoichi. "Hey babe, how about you show me a good time?"

"Hey babe, how about you show me a good time?" Gin looked behind her to see someone she had a feeling she should know. "Do I know you?" "No, but I bet you want to." The other teen told her while he looked her up and down like something he planned to buy. She supposed she was something to look at, but that didn't make her any less irritated.

The boy's eyes went from her white leather calf high heeled boots, to her stone washed style denim skirt that feel to mid thigh, and then to her light blue button-up blouse. His eyes were still resting on the swell of the blouse when her hand appeared there with a finger pointing up at her face. "Eye's up here jerk, before I take them out of your head, and there's only one person in this town who gets to call me Babe. You might have the same color hair, but I bet you're not half the man he is."

"What other guy in this Village has my stunning blonde hair?" "Oh, is that blonde? I thought it was white, you do look a little old to be flirting..." "I'm not old!! Damn, I need a mirror! Konomashii walked another while before seeing someone with pearly white locks that tumbled down their back in a wave of silk and shine. They had their back to him right now, but that sparking waist length drape of hair was almost magnetic as he walked toward the person. As the Light ninja nearer the person he hoped his luck would be better this time. "Hey pretty, what do you say we go somewhere and get acquanted?"

The person's shoulders went stiff under that fall of white hair. Slowly the person with the shining hair turned with a wide teal eyes, and an err of shock on his finely featured face. "I do hope you're not talking to me." He said in a surprisingly deep rumble of a voice. Zen raised a questioning brow as he watched a play of emotions roll across the other teen's face.

He is so ganna get his @$$ kicked going around a ninja village talking to the women like that... Just saying, one of them's bound to pop him one.

Sabra chittered once as she walked along the street carrying a brown bag, carefully shifting it's weight into her right arm to let her little white furred pet down her sleeve and leg. "Go find me a spice shop, Aoi." She commanded as the tiny ferret looked up at her for instructions. He scurried away as the girl stopped to look in the window of a dress store. She was distracted by the pretty materials and matching colors when she heard a familiar squeal.

Whipping her head toward the sound she saw Aoi being held up by his little shoulders in the hands of a scruffy looking man, there were two other men with him, both looking at the creature like it was weird. Sabra made a quick set of clicking sounds with her tongue and Kuro fell out of her pant's leg as she stalked toward the three men. The black furred ferret ran the other way sniffing along the road in search of a familiar scent as he went.

The pink haired girl nearer the three men with a furious look on her face. "Put him down right now." She commanded to them while her pet struggled and made despert chittering sounds. The man holding the creature held it a little higher, "You care about this vermin?" He questioned as his two friends moved to let the girl step closer. "I said put him down." Sabra hissed in a low threatening tone.

One of the other men clasp her on the shoulder and she couldn't help the pained reaction that ran thru her before they saw. The one holding her pet glanced behind him and started backstepping while grinning at the girl. The one that had grabbed her shoulder was smirking. This was not a good sign for her, and the teen knew it. "If you want this little critter back, come with us." The last one ordered as he pressed a hand to her back and they urged her toward the alley the first one had started into.

Sabra had heard of this kind of set up before, and felt her heartbeat starting to go up even as she was steered out of veiw from the street. Her furious gaze never left the man with her pet. Aoi continued to make sounds that more and more reminded her of a baby crying, and it was raising a most violent part of her mind. If he dared to harm her pet he would know pain like he'd never dreamed of.

The girl was taken a bit by surprise when she felt the hand on her back leave, and then was slammed into a wall. Her shoulder impacted and she let out a small scream. Her mouth was covered by the nearest of the men, and he ground the heel of his hand into her delicate wound. "Have yourself a sensitive spot there. We'll remember that." He hissed into her ear before drawing away.

Sabra clutched the bag of groceries she carried, it was the only thing she had with her, and she tried to remember if anything in it was heavy enough for a weapon. A sharp squeak of pain made her look at the man with Aoi again, he was tugging at the animal's tail while holding it's neck with the most intriged expression. "If you hurt him-" "You'll what?" The man looked at her with cruelty in his eyes. "You'll pick up the pieces and cry like a good little girl?" He pressed as he tugged again at the little creature's tail.

The pink haired girl felt a cold chill down her back, they were going to hold her pet as ransom. "What do you want?" She said, in as level a tone as she could. She heard the other two men start to laugh, but her eyes stayed on the one with her pet. "Why, what else could we want? You, stupid girl." He said, one of the men grabbed her bag, as he finished while the other slammed her against the wall again.

"If you dare to scream I'll snap this little furry's back before anyone can come for you." The one holding Aoi said as the other two grabbed either side of her shirt and pulled. The girl flinched throwing her head back as the cloth was ripped off her, reveiling her bandaged shoulder. One of them grabbed her by it and squeezed till her mouth opened in pain. She closed her eyes as he pressed his to hers. She heard Aoi cry and resisted the urge to bit down, knowing her pet's life was on the line.

Kuro scurried down the streets, he was scenting for anyone he knew even vaguely. The little black furred ferrret had to dodge out from under feet and away from curious children as he searched. His master had commanded him to get help, but he had no idea where help was. He finally locked onto someone who seemed familiar and ran for them. The tiny creature latched onto a leg and made as much noise as it could at the person attached to it.

"What the---" Chinsei looked down to his leg. A small ball of fur was hanging on, scratching too. Shiro put her nose to it, and began to sniff. The small creature quickly climbed up and into Chinsei's shirt, coming out of the neck, and sat on his shoulder, chittering in his ear. Shiro had begun to lick the wounds from the small animal. Akemi looked down at it. "Is that a ferret?" "Yea, I think it's one of Sabra's too. What's the matter little one?" It looked down, and jumped in front of Shiro. It ran off in the direction it came, and Shiro followed, but stopped and looked at Chinsei, like she wanted him to follow. "Akemi, you stay here and get a table, they seem to want me to follow."

As they ran through the Village, Shiro was following Kuro, and Chinsei was following Shiro, and Chinsei began to sense something was off with the small ferret. They went past a small dress shop, and saw blood. Shiro had stopped to sniff it, but Chinsei kept up with Kuro. The ferret stopped at a small alley way, and Chinsei was about to walk down it, when he saw Sabra, a man on top of her, and two other men watching. One of them seemed to be holding a small white creature, who was also chittering, and seemed to be struggling. "Shiro, tsk tsk." He whispered, and clicked his tongue, and Shiro walked slowly to his side. She saw what was happening, and began to move. Chinsei clicked his tongue again, and she stopped.

He knew that Sabra probably would have disregarded the pain of her shoulder to fight them off if they didn't have something on her. 'They must have one of her ferrets, that must be the white thing in that guys hand. Dammit, she'd do anything for those animals, even take this abuse.' He instantly appeared behind the man holding the creature. "Wow, you must really be desperate, if you're gonna go so far as to hold a defenseless creature hostage, just to get something from a young girl." Sabra sighed with relief at the sound of her sensei's voice. Shiro walked up beside Chinsei, growling at the two other men. The one who had been on Sabra got up, and backed away, as did the other man.

"Tell ya what. I'm gonna beat you, and not just a little smack on the face, I mean kick your asses so hard, that when they heal, each half will have healed together. Now, if you want it to be slow, and oh so painful, snap that ferrets neck. If you want it to be a little bit quicker, so that you don't feel so much pain, drop the ferret. I'll give you 3 seconds to decide which option you like." The man dropped the ferret before Chinsei could even begin counting. "Huh, you actually are smarter than you look. Too bad though, I changed my mind, I'm just gonna beat you senseless, while still keeping you conscious. Sounds fun, right?"

Shiro caught the tiny thing in her mouth. She walked over to Sabra, and set it down next to her. She took a defensive stance over the girl, while Chinsei proceeded with the beating. He tossed the first one against a wall, and flew at the other two. He jumped and did a split kick, knocking them into opposite sides of the alley. They got up, and began to run towards the end of the alley that opened up into town. Chinsei was too fast, and headed them off. "Now, I'm really, and I mean really tempted to use my Ninjutsu, but seeing how you're not Shinobi, maybe I won't. Then again, you tormented a small defenseless animal, and assaulted a wounded child. I think I'll make an exception, just for you."

He strung some hand signs together. "Ninja Art: Crescent Blades!" Sharp blades of Chakra surrounded Chinsei, and flew forward at the three men. He ran at them, and jumped. "Spiraling Crescent Kick!" He spun into the air, and twisted diagonally, extending his leg, and hitting all three before he landed. "You guys are no fun, I thought you would try to fight back. Am I too tough? Would it help if I had a little girl come and fight in my place?" He kicked one in the chest, and spun around and kicked the other two in the face.

As Zen was walking by, he heard smashing trash cans. He saw four men fighting, but he also saw a white animal standing over a person with pinkish hair, which he immediately recognized as Sabra's. He ran into the alley, vaulting over the men who were fighting, and landing a few steps from Sabra. Shiro growled at him, but Sabra touched her head, letting her know the boy was friendly. Chinsei was still busy beating the men as Zen sat by Sabra, making sure she was ok.

Zen knelt by his friend's side, and helped her to sit up. She was holding onto herself and wouldn't looked at him. "Sabra-chan..." The softness of his tone made her finally lift her face, reveiling a bruise on her cheek, and a split lip. She was about to speak when one of the men landed next to them, and mouned in pain. The girl practically shot to the other wall, pushing herself up against it as far from the fallen man as possible.

Zen's teal eyes filled with rage as he finally seemed to register his friend's state of dress, or lack there of. He turned on the man and in a swift movement had come to his feet holding him. He slammed the assauliant against the wall with a sickening thud. A hand flew to his side and drew a wicked knief that he raised toward the man, and would have stabbed him had a hand not wrapped around his wrist.

"They're civies, you'll be the one in trouble if you do that." Chinsei said in a rather calm voice as he held the teen's wrist. Zen looked to the side to see the other two men completely out cold and relaxed his stance. As the jonin let go the younger man took a half step back and pulled the assaulter forward, slamming his knee into the man's falling ribs. Then threw him to the side.

He turned and sheathed his knief again. His eyes went to Sabra. It was a painful thing to see. She had her head down, and her arms wrapped around her chest. Her ferrets were chittering up at her like they didn't know what to do. Shiro was also making low little yips at her. Her shirt was completely torn away, and the ripped shreds of what remained fell around her, even her bandages had started coming loose, giving partial glimpses of the scars beneath.

Zen stared for only a moment before looking away. He pulled his shirt from it's nicely tucked position and pulled it open, not caring if he lost a button or two. When his boots got where she could see them with her head down the girl's eyes shot up at him, wide and startled. He knelt by her and felt bad as she shook when he wrapped his shirt around her. Her hands clenched in it and pulled the cloth closer.

The teen carefully touched her arms as the girl looked away from him again, and he heard her sob. "I'm sorry, if I'd of had any idea..." He started to appologize but her pink hair whipped around as she shook her head. "Just don't touch me right now...." She murmured, the white haired boy pulled away, looking up at her teacher.

Chinsei held two of the men, slung over his shoulders like sacks of potatos. He looked from the boy to his student. "She's probly in shock. She should be taken to the hospital." "Gin's house is closer." "Yes, but we don't know if she's there... Besides they'll have someone there who can talk to her." The jonin made a whistling sound, and Shiro pulled away. She snagged the collar of the last man, and starting to drag him away.

"What should I do?" Zen questioned as he looked back to Sabra and her pets. "Get her calmed down enough to let you carry her. That's really all you can do." The archer nodded, wishing there'd been something else he could of been told. He raised a hand toward his friend's hair, but she jerked away when he first touched it. "Sabra-chan..." She relaxed just a little and let him rub her head, it would have made him smile if she didn't seem so broken. It reminded him sort of how a cat would slap at you when you first reach to touch it, then purr while you pet them, the whole time ready to either bolt away or scratch you up if you did it wrong.

Chinsei didn't want to leave them like that, but he didn't think that the girl would trust a full grown man with her at the moment, even if it was him. Zen was still young and soft looking, and had a tender side to him. He figured that the teen was probly one of the better people who could have possibly shown up on the scene, but he idly wondered why he'd tried to appologize. That was when his shoe cought on something, he looked down to see a bag laying in the street where Zen had come from, it had a pretty purple colored dress in it. The teen must have been in the store just next door the whole time and hadn't known...

"Itsuki is going to be eighteen. He's going to move out, and he said I could live with him." Isamu's eyes brightened a little. "It would be a little safer for us to be ourselves. However, we could never be completely free because father would stop by now and then."

It had taken a couple of minutes, but Zen had finally convenced Sabra to let him pick her up. She clung to him like a lifeline while he dashed with her to the hospital. "Yaite Zen?" The white haired teen stood, at the sound of his name, as medic came toward him holding a clip board. "The young lady you brought in is talking with one of our counsellors, and has asked to see one of our doctors by name. She said to bring this back to you, and that you could go." Zen took his shirt as the nurse handed it to him. He slipped it on leaving it loose and open. "Is she alright?" "She will be, please go about your business." As the person turned from him he cought a short glance of the clipboard, and knew who Sabra had asked to have called.

The young man considered waiting, perhaps he'd get to see his girlfriend if he did, but then desided not to. Sabra's situation was more important then his idle wishes. He started to button up his shirt as he walked out, but found the top two missing. The missing buttons made the image of Sabra with her cloths all torn to shreds come to mind. He thought on that a moment, and knew exactly who he needed to talk to. He headed down the street for the Kagome residence. He'd order something made for her, it was the least he could do.

I know I should just edit and add this to previous posts, but I'd have to add breaks in text anyway, this is just as easy.

Gin was walking out of a store with a bag in each hand when she overheard some high pitched giggling that seemed out of place. Her silvery eyes searched the area where the sound came from. She saw the person who had so impolitely addressed her earlier in the afternoon. He was making some headway with a pair of girls who were laughing with him.

A slow sadistic smirk curled her lips as she stalked toward the trio. "Don't let him fool ya girls, he's gay." She chimed like it was a matter-of-fact statement. The boy turned on his heel to look at her. "Hey, you're the chick from before!" "And you're the jerk who's more obsessed with himself then the 'chicks' you're trying to pick up." Her deadpan tone made his cheek twitch. "Just who do you think you are?" Konomashii demanded as he turned fully away from the pair he'd been charming.

"The girl who's about to make your evening miserable." Gin answered as she pointed behind him to the pair of girls who were walking away, offended that he was more interesting in Gin then in them. Konomashii turned to the silver eyed girl again with irritation in his expression, it carried to his voice. "Just what is your problem?" The smirk on the girl's face grew just a little. "Jerks like you who think all they have to do is look good to get some." "Hey I more then look good, I am good." "Oh, really? I'll believe it when I see it." Gin turned from him with a dismissive gesture.

Konomashii jogged after her, "Hey don't walk away like that. How am I supposed to prove it if you leave?" The young woman shrugged at him, "Get inventive." The boy reached out and turned her by the shoulder toward him, leaning down toward the girl. Before he could reach his goal though a voice made her head jerk to look down the street.

A mousy looking woman ran to them. "Miss Nibairou, you're needed at the hospital immediately. There's a young woman who was assaulted, she won't let anyone else examine her." Gin's eyes went wide as she looked at the messenger. "Is it my sister?" "No, ma'am. A Miss Kusabana." "Thank you, I'll be there as fast as possible." The mousy woman dismissed herself from the ninja.

Gin looked up at the blond teen who still had hold of her. "Playtime is over, I have serious things to do." She pulled free from him while pulling her bags up where she could run with them. As she took off it was only as second before the boy appeared at her side again. "I thought I explained that playtime was over," she said harshly. "Yeah, whatever. I'm a medic too, I'm ganna follow you to the hospital, in the mean time I want to know what your beef is with me. Why did you go out of your way to cause me trouble with those two prettys?"

The grey haired young woman rolled her eyes at him. "Ever think maybe I'm just all purpose general bit**?" She asked while running up to the door of her house. She threw her bags inside and set out for the hospital, Konomashii still hot on her heels. "Yeah it crossed my mind, but I'd prefer a better answer then that." Gin stopped for a second when he said that. "So what, I ruffle your feathers over a couple of girls and you think there has to be more to it then that? What do you want my whole life story, or something?" The girl demanded while facing him.

"No, hearing about your sucky life would be depressing. I want to know why you need to ruin other people's lives to make yourself feel better." She stopped running and glared at him. "Excuse me!?" "You heard me, all I want is a simple answer. Why?"

Chinsei and Shiro were walking to the Hokage Mansion to turn the three creeps in, when Chinsei remembered something. "Akemi! Oh dammit!" He looked around, not knowing what to do with the three "men". He spotted a tall, thick tree, and decided to tie them to it. It was close enough to the Mansion, and he just had to leave a note. He tied them to the tree with wire, and pulled a kunai. He began carving into the tree, "Bring these three to Lady Hiroko, I will inform her later. -Chinsei Tasogare"

He sent a kunai with a paper bomb into the air, and exploded it in a way as to make it a flare. He had Shiro wait here, and he went to get Akemi, and fill her in on what had happened.

"Because you were convenient." "That explains why it was me and not someone else, but not why." Gin gave him a very cold look. "Ever think it might of been you, and just you because of something you did?" "Now, why would I go and think that?" The girl's hand clenched at her side. "You really are just an oversexed pig." She turned her back on him and started to leave again when he touched her arm. "What?" She yelled at him while turning her burning silver eyes to him one last time.

Sasoku sighed, happy to be back home. He toweled his hair off and changed. Looking around his apartment he was glad that Gaki was at least a clean person, it was in pretty decent shape, save for a pile of letters. The red head shoved them away and checked the fridge. Pulling back with a drink in hand he thought about what he should do now that he was back. "I guess I should give my report... Then I'll go get food, and see if anyone wants to come over for a small party!" He downed the drink and headed out to put his small plan into action. He hoped he could get a few of friends over for the evening.

"Is something wrong? Should I have said no?"

Isamu blinked, looking back to Kin's eyes. "No. I would have liked more time to talk to you first, but that's not it...Something doesn't feel right...Where is Kyou?"

The door opened and the crossdresser walked in. "Oh, sorry...Kyou just wanted to take care of something."

"Alright, then let's get going~!" Itsuki sang.

Before the four could leave, however, Zen came flying in. "Itsuki, I need you to make a dress for Sabra--"

"WHAT!?!"

All five people jumped at the voice.

"F-father, you came home early," the designer stuttered, pushing his glasses higher up on his nose.

"What the hell did I just hear about one of my boys designing dresses!?!" Daiki's fierce orbs scanned the room. His gaze sharpened at the sight of the blonde. "WHY THE F*** IS A NIBAIROU B**** IN MY HOUSE!!!"

The man made to smack Kin over the head, but Isamu got between them.

"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER!!!"

"Isamu, you ungrateful little--"

"SHUT UP!!!" the youngest brunet shouted. "You will not lay a finger on Kin! I love her, and have for a while! You and your stupid prejudices have tried to keep me away from a lot of great friends, but not anymore! I'm not like you, dad! I have a dog that I love and I'm not a man wh***! The only things we have in common are blood, surname, and that fact that if you harm the one I love I WILL BASH YOUR F***ING SKULL IN!!!"

The eldest Kagome's eyes clouded with anger.

Zen tried to move forward, "Now there's no need for violence." The elder Kagome looked at him with a sharp glare. "Get out you little Yaite twerp... If you're as much in personality like your father as you are in looks I don't want you in here either." The white haired boy stilled his gaze and meet the older man's heat. "I am nothing like my father..."

Kin laid a light touch on Isamu's shoulder. Her gold eyed set on the boy's father, and her voice solid. "If you have a problem with my being here, then take it up with me, not your sons." Daiki seemed a bit output by the slender girl actually stepping up to him. "You little wh**e... Do you honestly think you can take me?" "Yes."

Zen moved toward her, "Don't do this..." He whispered low, while coming to stand at her back. "If I don't he'll beat them, I'm sure of it." Kin waited for the older Kagome's answer, when he started laughing in an almost insane manner. "Did you brats rig this up to see what I would do?" He demanded while rounding on Itsuki.

The designer raised his hands ia defensive gesture. "Y-yes. Yes that's it, this was just a joke." He said as he tried to back away. His eyes went to his little brother and the other chunin to try and back him up. "Should we lie?" Kin asked softly to Isamu. Her hand was buried in the pack on her hip, wrapped around one of her scrolls, ready to react if nessisary.

Zen had stepped back away, scanning the room for weapons, he only had his knieves, and with so many other people gathered who were short range fighters he really didn't want to rely on them. He glanced over at Kyou who looked as nervious as virgin on her wedding night. He shifted his footing to head toward the boy. "What do you have for weapons?" He questioned in as quiet a voice as he could manage. The crossdresser looked up at him, "Just my needles..." "Damn..."

Since he hadn't been around for awhile, Sasoku decided to throw a welcome back party for himself. He wanted to reacquaint himself with his old friends. He went to the top off the house, and ran across the roofs, looking for familiar faces. He saw one that he had run into a few hours earlier. He was surrounded by girls too. "Hey, I'm throwing a party if you're interested. It's gonna happen in a few hours, and it'll probably go through the night. Wanna come?" Konomashii turned around, a girl on each arm, and several more around him. "Can I bring friends?" "The more the merrier!" He filled him in on the address and went back to the roof tops, scanning the village.

He had been looking for several more minutes before he saw Gigen again. 'Should I ask him? It looks like he's with his girlfriend, and he didn't seem too happy with me earlier....maybe I should apologize!' He jumped down in front of Gigen and Aiko, panting. "What do you want?" Aiko hit him on the head. "Don't be so rude." "Heh, it's ok. I wanted to invite you guys to a party I'm throwing." "Who else will be there?" Aiko responded before Gigen had a chance to respond. "Well, Konomashii and a few girls, and if you two come. I'm still trying to find old friends and invvite them." 'Old friends my ass.' Gigen had been looking away, paying slim to no attention. "We'll be there." Gigen turned to look at her, shocked. "What!?"

Sasoku smiled at Aiko warmly. "I'll be sure to have an empty bottle just for you and your games." The red head had dashed off again before Gigen could obeject. The ginger made his way on down the street and ran into Gaki. "Hey, my main man. Head to the house with me, we got a party to set up. You can go find Sab and bring her along once we're done." The blue eyed boy said as he hung an arm around his darker haired friend.

"Don't you want to enjoy being back from Suna?" Gaki asked while pushing him off before they could get too many weird looks. "Dude, this is enjoying myself. There will be girls, good food, and best of all party games." Sasoku raised his handse and the finger tips lite with the light of chakra, "Games I can manipulate and no one will have the slightest idea." He said while they headed off for the snacks.

Chinsei ran back to the restaurant as fast as he could. When he got back, he saw Akemi sitting at a table. "Sorry, I hope you weren't hungry waiting for.....me?" There were two large dishes on the table, completely empty, and Akemi was starting on a third, and had just ordered desert. She was licking her fingers when she noticed him. "Oh, hi! Sorry, I got hungry, you don't mind do you?" "Umm.....no, I guess not." He sat down and put his arm around her. He reached to take a bite of her food, and she slapped his hand away. He looked at her, stunned. "Order your own food, gosh!"

He decided to tell her what had happened later, and he called the waiter over. "Hi, I'd like to order--" "He'll have a triple order of dango, with a large ramen with chicken and beef." He looked at her, and laughed. "I guess I'll be having that then." The waiter smiled, and walked away. "Just so you know, I'm gonna take you out for dinner later on in the week, if you're up to it. I feel bad about not spending your meal with you." She smiled, and had little bits of pork in between her teeth.

Gin had finally managed to get away from the annoying flirt of a boy she now knew a Konomashii. She could tell they would probly never get along. When she came into the medical room though and read across the papers in the door her eyes went wide. She was expecting a broken bone or some other general injuries, but not this.

She came around the curtian of the room to find her friend with her legs pulled up to her chest, and her arms wrapped around them, head down. Gin came closer, "The counsellor's been in here already, unless you're Gin leave me alone." The pink haired girl said without looking up. "Sabra, it is me." As those usually vibrant green eyes came up the young medic felt her throat go tight. She came over and reached her hands to her friend's face, channeling into it to relieve the swelling.

"The chart says you wouldn't let anyone else tend you." "I didn't want anyone to see me..." Gin laid her hand on her friend's shoulder and started unwrapping the remaining bandages. "I'll have to have you be absolutely cooperative with the 'kit' it's embarassing, but it's proceedure." Gin explained as she examined the scars and bruising on Sabra's shoulder. "I'll have to spend some time on this too, it's badly hurt, this will set you back a few weeks in recovery. Why did you let them do this to you?"

"They had Aoi, and were looking at him like you look at something you plan to disect." Gin's hands stilled on her teammate's shoulder. "Sorry... I didn't mean it like that." Sabra said, but the medic waved her words off. "I know what you mean, I can look pretty cruel..." She laid a press of gauze on the shoulder and instructed Sabra to lay down.

"Is there anything that you want to tell me before we begin?" The green eyed girl shook her head, but Gin didn't move yet. "Anything about Gaki?" She pressed, and the color on her friend's face told her everything she needed to know. "Do you even want him told what happened?" Sabra's expression went from shock to shame and rested on sorrow. "No... He'll blame himself, he was supposed to be with me, but he stayed behind to train. If he'd come home with me like planned..." "Don't dwell on it. Gaki wasn't with you, and I can keep your secret."

A few minutes later Gin was sitting on the other side of the curtian evaluating some tests she was made to run for this situation. Sabra was putting on some spare cloths the silver eyed girl left here for when she was called in unexpectedly. They were close to the same size, only the pink haired girl had a bigger bust. The medic looked down at one of the sample trays, she had a choice to make.

The pen clicked on the counter as she thought over what she should do for her friend. The young woman opened a drawer and started looking thru it till she pulled out a packet of four pills. She read the label quickly, and then carefully peeled it off. Marking something on the chart she went back around the curtian to her friend. "Sabra, I want you to take these. Take two now, and one every twelve hours till you've taken all four." She instructed then went to get her friend a cup with water.

"What are these?" The teen asked as she pried two from the packet. "A precaution. They'll boost your immune system for a while, and help keep you calm. I'll get your papers filed, and everything else done for you. Now remember to take those when I told you, and I'll come to check on you at your house tomorrow." Gin explained while looking away and going to gather the clipboard and papers she had worked on. She quickly slid the test supplies into a bin before Sabra came out where she was.

As the pink haired girl came to stand by her friend's side the medic was writing on a clean sheet of paper. She passed it to the pet trainer. "Take this to the front desk, they'll file this perscription. Your pets are in ward 3 room number 1. I'll meet you outside after I'm done with this." Gin told her. Sabra looked down at the paper in her hands. "What is this for, Gin?" "Because I saw you the other night sneaking out, and I'd prefer you safe instead of sorry." The pink haired girl colored again, but nodded and made her way out of the office.

Gin looked down at the trash she'd shoved the tests into and wished she'd written that perticular perscription the second she'd had the slightest idea of what her friend and cousin were doing. She'd have to sit and have a serious talk with Gaki, but that would wait till she'd filed these papers. As she dropped off the clipboard Miss Tela snatched it from it's resting place. "Nibairou, why are both of these medicines on here?" Gin didn't turn to answer. "Because the patient wanted to have them both. She's in a relationship to need the second, and the first is because of today's incident." "Really?" "Of course ma'am. Would I violate patient rights like that?" The tall woman stared after the girl, saying yes under her breath.

Hidoi had thrown himself deep into training ever since he failed at the Chunin Exams. He had honed his taijutsu skills, becoming a lethal weapon with his body, and had trained in the use of weapons. He also learned a few new tricks, but didn't want to show off too much on his next mission. He had been told that he would be traveling with his Sensei to the Leaf Village. He was to meet with his Sensei at the Village Gates, and he had gotten some training in before hand. The ground was littered with splinters from training dummies that he had smashed. Several other ones were cut up from weapon training. After he cleaned up a bit, he packed his things, and headed off.

"Kin, take Kyou and Itsuki and run," Isamu whispered. "Zen and I can take on my father and anyone who comes to his aid."

"I can fight, you know," she hissed.

"I know, which is why if anything happens, I am trusting you to protect them." He pulled her into a very brief kiss. "Stay safe."

The blonde nodded and took Kyou's hand. The two of them pulled Itsuki out of the house through the back door. The twelve-year old and Zen faced Daiki.

"This was no joke, father. To fear you any longer would be a disgrace to my name. Isamu. Bravery. And I will fight you for everything I care about."

The Kagome dad let out a booming laugh. "Bravery!? Ha! More like stupidity. You'd have to be a fool to take on someone bigger and stronger than you!" He backed up towards the door, cocky expression on his face. "Alright, you ingrateful brat, hit me with your best shot."

"Zen, I know you're stronger than me, but fall back. Take care of any other members of my family that come our way. This is between me and my father."

The archer nodded. The Kagomes darted outside and immediately began making handsigns. Isamu managed to finish and press his hands to the terra firma first. A few extra seconds were all he needed to build up an armor of the hardest rocks he could find.

He punched his dad in the gut. The older man was shocked to find that his own armor was scratched.

"How did you--?"

"I'm a lot more picky about my rock defense," his son answered.

"No matter. I still am more skilled than you!"

Zen's trained eyes were barely fast enough to keep up with the fight. The combatants both had high speed and strength, but he could tell that his friend was taking the greater number of hits. He was distracted breifly as a few Kagomes wandered out of their home, but an arrow shot in their direction was all it took to keep them back.

The archer's eyes flickered back to the fight just in time for him to see the younger of the fighters take a particularly hard hit. "Isamu!"

Daiki growled as he stood over his tired son. "A weakling traitor is no son of mine, and the same goes for your f** of a brother. Get out of my sight."

As the smaller brunet lifted his head (with much effort needed), a chirping sounded through the air. Makoto swooped down and dropped a letter in front of him. He unfurled it and began reading. He laughed.

"Fine by me, bas****." He threw the letter at the man's face.

Daiki caught it and scanned it with his eyes. The steely orbs grew wide and his jaw dropped.

Zen walked over, curiosity etched into his face. He took the paper from the jounin and read it. There were two different handwriting styles on it. The first he recognized as Kyou's; the second was new to him. Kyou's first message read:

Dear whoever is in charge of the Inuzuka clan,

It has come to my attention that not only does my friend bare a striking resemblence to the members of your family, but that his mother was in fact a member. His mother was born Inuzuka Urufu and died Kagome Urufu.

I request that you take my friend in to your family. His name is Isamu.

Sincerely,

Kyou

His eyes shifted down to the reply.

Dear Kyou,

I remember your friend from the chunin exams. Yes, we would love to take in a talented ninja like him. Please let him know that he can move in as soon as he wants.

---Inuzuka Sousui

The pale-haired ninja moved on to the last message.

Early Birthday present. Kyou told you Kyou was taking care of something before Daiki-baka came home.

"It's a shame no one else in our family could have children to carry on the Kagome name. Guess the clan will die out."

"What do you mean?" Daiki spat. "I can still have children."

Zen kicked him in the crotch. "Not anymore."

Zen watched the older Jonin hit his knees from his strike. As he fell the white haired teen couldn't help but take the oppertunity to catch him with a spinning kick to the jaw. As Daiki fell back, his eyes rolling up in unconcious the teen bend to help Isamu up. "Congradulations."

The slightly younger boy smiled up at his friend. "I believe that means that everyone is waiting at the Inuzuka residence for us." "Yeah but that doesn't mean well let you two pass." The voice drew the pair's gaze to the house where three other Kagome's had witnessed the last of the fight.

Zen moved forward his bow raised. The symbol on it's hold showing Nibairou, and his face speaking of Yaite he told them. "This boy and his brother are under the protection of the Inuzuka now, and if you block our path it won't just be them that you have to deal with. You don't want to start a clan war by being idiots." The three took a few steps back. "This won't be the last of this." One threatened as the two young men passed.

"I'm sure it will, because even rock heads like all of you aren't that stupid. There's a whole list of clans my brother and I have become friends with while you fools turned your noses up at them." Isamu told the three before quickly ducking into his room and snatching a bag from inside.

The two soon stood at the front of the Inuzuka compound. Kin ran to greet them hugging Isamu, and then Zen. The teal eyed teen reached to his shoulder where a scroll laid open across it and tapped it a couple of times, then the bow he had in hand. As the weapon vanished into the scroll he rolled it up and passed it to Kin. "Thank you." "I figured you needed something." "How many arrows are in there?" "Only two dozen." Zen raised a brow at her. "Only two dozen, for a weapon you would only use if you had to?" "It's best to be prepared." She told him, then passed the scroll back. "Keep it. Probly be best to do similarly with your other bows, and their ammo."

The two turned toward Isamu again as Zen stuffed the scroll in a pocket. "I'm so happy this happened." Kin chimed at him. She lightly touched his cheek where a bruise was forming. "Come on, they have supplies inside, let me get you patched up. Oh and your puppy is here already." The blond explained while taking his hand, and leading him inside.

Zen followed, and found Itsuki talking happily with a young man. "May I steal you for a minute?" "Of course Zen-chan." The nickname made Zen blush, it always did, he was sure that was why the designer used it for him. They pulled away where they could talk. "You said you needed something for Sabra?" The designer questioned. "Yes..." "Somehow I always thought it'd be Gaki coming to me for that request." "It should be, but he wasn't there today... I want you to make a new outfit for her, something where she can move easier, and that would be harder to tear."

The designer reached up and slipped his glasses off for a moment, giving Zen a very concerned look. "Harder to tear? Did something happen, you seem most upset for this to be just an accident that your trying to say sorry for?" The archer nodded, "She was... Put in a most unfortunate position today. I'm not sure she'd want me to explain. Her usual cloths are all in pieces, and I don't think she'll want a copy of the same outfit again." Itsuki put his glassed back on. "I can see what I can do. It'd help if I had her measurements, but..." He looked to Kin. "I think I know someone who's close enough that with a couple of adujustments..."

Zen watched the other man go over and very politely borrow the blond long enough to draw a measuring tape, from only Itsuki knew where, and quickly take a few numbers down. He returned to Zen after thanking the young lady. "I'll work something up... I don't suppose I could get paid for materials at least?" Zen pulled out a wallet from his backpocket. He handed it to the man, "Take what you need, or rather want for the work." Itsuki opened it and looked inside, then to Zen. "You're serious?" "Yes. Just make it nice." "Yes, sir. I'll get to work as soon as I can!"

I'm working on that full body shot thing actually. I've been using a page from one of my fav game series to find good pics to alter, sense the series has way more characters then I could hope to need. I found the most perfect Sasoku! I only have to change the hair and eye color! The look, the angle he's at, the clothing, perfect. I'm having great luck with the others as well.

Gin is 1) very good at lieing 2) not against lieing to friends and 3) has a tendency to know way more about a situation then she should. Besides her boyfriend is Zen and Gaki has been staying with him quite a while. It wouldn't take too much to find out such information for someone in her position, and with her attitude. What's more important then how she found out, is what she gave Sabra. That whole lieing thing in action.

Your number two is correct, she did give Sabra a perscription for those, but as for number one she did fake her out on something. Gin gave her two medications. She lied about the first and told the truth about the second. Now I get to see if you can guess the first medication, but just so you don't spoil it for everyone pm me with your guess. Sasoku was moving carefully around the living room of his apartment hanging little reflectors for the lights that Gaki was setting up. "When did you get all this stuff?" The ex-hyuuga asked while changing a bulb. "I've had it for a while, just never the oppertunity." The red head turned to where he had a big bowl with ice and drinks in it. "I need to go see about getting another person here." He said while moving the cans alittle to add a few more. "Who?" "Kin." "Good luck with that."

The ginger left wondering why his friend had wished him luck, he didn't need luck to ask a girl to come to his party. It did take a little while to track the blond down. Finally he found her returning to her house with a broad smile. "Hey you look happy." The golden eyed girl grinned up at him. "Yeah, hey I guess this means you're back." Sasoku nodded, "I'm throwing a party. Why don't you come with me, and enjoy yourself?"

Kin shook her head, and the red head looked confused. "Why not?" "Because I've got to get ready for my date tomorrow!" Sasoku put a hand to his chest feeling the way she'd said that so happily like a punch. "What do you mean your date?" She hadn't stopped smiling, and it made him feel like he'd lost touch. "My date with Isamu." She brushed past him toward her house, leaving the teen stunned for a second. He whirled and grabbed her hand. "Wait. When did he ask you out?"

The blond looked back at him, "I asked him." The blue eyed boy's hand went slack. "Oh... I guess that makes sense..." He watched her disappear into the house babbling something about her hair. He stood there outside with his eyes staring at the stones leading to her door. "Dammit..." The red head turned, kicking a pebble as he did. He headed out of the yard and stopped when his gaze found feet in his way.

Looking up at the people blocking his path he found Gin and Sabra. "Hey." "Hey. When did you get back?" "Today." Sabra slid a bit behind her friend before the red head looked at her. He raised a brow to Gin. "You wouldn't understand." The medic explained. "Well then, I guess I shouldn't try. Instead you two should come to my party. Gaki's there already, and I'm sure I can track Zen down."

Sabra leaned around to look at the boy. "Gaki?" "Yeah, of course." Gin touched Sasoku's shoulder. "We'll be there, now move so we can go change." "But Gin..." The silver eyed girl glanced at the other kunoichi. "We'll be there." The red head stepped aside for them to pass, but was worried over the pet trainer's behavior. He would ask her later, for now he headed back to his house. Gin didn't say if she cared about Zen being there, so he really didn't either. It just ment one less guy to distract the girls, even if the one girl he cared about wasn't there he could still have fun.

I blame our writers' conversation in pms for the following short.

Zen had been sent out, yet, again as soon as he'd shown his face back home. The young man walked with a note in hand, it seemed his mother didn't trust him to do as asked without one this time. He was passing the Nibairou house when he looked up at the sound of a door closing. His teal eyes scanned the scene to find Sabra and Gin. Both in plain white blouses, and black pants. He could tell from the tight fit across the top that the shirt Sabra wore was not her own.

His girlfriend greeted them as they came closer he hugged her, for a moment before moving to Sabra. He touched her face where the bruise earlier had been. "Sabra-chan... Are you alright?" She forced a smile. "As alright as I can be." He understood and laid a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"Good. I have something being made for you." The girl's green eyes showed the first hint of real expression in hours at that. "What?" The taller teen grinned at her. "You'll see soon enough." They heard a light cough and both turned to Gin. "Zen, we're headed to a party at Sasoku's, would you like to join us?"

The boy raised the note in his other hand. "Mother will turn me over her knee if I show back up empty handed again." He said as he came and kissed her cheek before waving to both girls and headed on off, jogging to make up for lost time.

Gin looked at Sabra with a harsh stare. "What was that all about?" The pet trainer looked away from her cold eyes. "He was the one that took me to the hospital. He was worried is all... He's always had a soft spot for me, you know that." The medic huffed a little. "I know, he does the same sort of thing to Kin. I think it's just the way he is. Come on, we need to get to the party." She said as she relaxed, shrugging the event off.

Hidoi had grown a few inches, and stood about 5'10. His hair had stayed the same dark red color it had been. He wore a black, long sleeved shirt, with a gray vest that had his Light Village headband on the chest. He had gray shorts with black zig-zags all around. He wore black ninja sandals as well. He also had several weapon pouches on his back, and holsters on his sides where scrolls were placed, as well as three shuriken holsters on each leg.

He had finally reached the Light Village Gates, but Shisui was nowhere to be seen. He walked over to the Gate Guards to ask them if they'd seen him. "Hey, guys, seen Shisui around?" "No, but you and he are signed out to travel to the Leaf, so he'll probably be here soon." He thanked them and walked towards the Gates.

He had been waiting for an hour or so when Shisui appeared down the road. He had light brown hair that was cut to be short, but not too short. He had green eyes, and stood about 6 feet tall. He wore an orange shirt and had a slim, white, long sleeved shirt underneath. His pants were white, and covered up his black sandals. He wore his headband around his left arm, it was tied with black fabric. He had four weapon pouches on his back, and two shuriken holsters on each leg.

"It's about time you got here Shisui! I've been waiting for over an hour!" "Sorry Hidoi, I had to get my stuff together. I've learned to never leave the Village without my medical supplies, even if I have them in scrolls. Ready to go?" "As ready as I'll ever be." "Well, maybe we'll run into some of your old friends. Gigen and Konomashii are in the Village, and Aiko stayed for awhile after Hikaru....." "Yea....I know." The two men walked through the Village Gates, and began the trip to the Leaf.

No more licking in the thread, do you have any idea what these things take to clean? Away with you to private messages.

Sasoku was letting people in at the door to his apartment, while Gaki was inside handing out drinks. The red head saw Gigen and Aiko headed in his direction when their attention was called away. The former sand looked down the street to see another person with a Light headband attached to his vest, and a second taller person coming up behind him.

The ginger waited watching them from the doorway, not sure if something might of happened. His vision was blocked for a second by a hand. "Hello in there. Earth to Sasoku." The red head looked to find Gin and Sabra at his side, Gin having been the one to distract him. "Oh hey, you two look nice. Go on in." The medic grinned at him and drug Sabra on along as she headed inside.

Sabra blushed when Gaki came on around and hugged her. A shiver ran down her back that she couldn't help, and when he looked concerned Gin pulled them apart. "Now, now, you two are in public." The silver eyed girl taunted her cousin, but she knew Sabra's shiver wasn't from a thrill, rather a mental chill.

Gaki went to get them a pair of drinks while Gin guided Sabra to a chair and took her temperature with her hand. "You should sit a while." The jonin instructed. "Okay... Can you keep other guys away from me for a bit?" The pink haired girl asked quietly. "Of course... But Sabra, I won't keep Gaki away, he's your boyfriend. Even if you don't want me to tell him you need to let him in, let him know you were hurt." The green eyed girl didn't acknowledge the other girl's words, but Gin stayed near her, hovering like a bodyguard.

"I can't believe they didn't notice us," Daisuke whispered.

"Well, we did have an expert genjutsu user hiding us," Suki replied. She batted her eyelashes. "It didn't take much to convince him."

"...You're really annoying, sis, but you have good plans sometimes."

"Come on, I wanna see our sissy half-sister. If she's anything like what I overheard Shisui describe, this ought to be worth the trouble."

The twins followed in the direction Hidoi and Shisui had gone.

Isamu dusted off his red collared shirt and black slacks. His cheeks were still a little sore from the Inuzuka's tattooing his cheeks (they hadn't finished because they had to avoid the bruise), but he was feeling great otherwise. He was satisfied with how the clothing fit--he was deffinitely going to wear this on his date the next day.

The brunet changed back into his normal clothes and exited the room. His adoptive mother had gone in search of a medic that could heal his bruises so they could finish up the last spot on his face. He hoped she had found one already. He just wanted to get it over with.

Suki isn't particularly skiled ninja, but she's good at using charm to bend people to her will. While her mother is Aiko's, her father is Konomashii's, so she must get it from her father's side of the family.

Kin laid out a white short sleeve dress, skirt falling to just above the knee. Her gift from Isamu would be worn around her neck as a choker. White shoes and socks, with a little yellow jacket. Simple yet cute. She was holding a yellow straw hat with a bow thinking about if she should add it to the outfit for tomorrow. She thought on it a while and then hung it back in the closet, instead starting to mess with how to wear her hair, probly up in a ponytail.

As the girl drew her hair up she realized just how long it was getting. Binding it at the back of her neck like she was used to doing didn't really cause her to take in how much it all weighed. She looked over at a picture of her and her sister before Gin had dyed her hair. Two blonds with long hair and big eyes, that was all you could really tell, they looked like mirrors to eachother.

Kin glanced at her gear on the bed, and reached for it. Drawing a kunai from a bag she went to the bathroom where the light was better and there was a bigger mirror. She gathered her hair in one hand metering out how long she liked it by the look it gave her. She took a breath, pressing the blade to her shining hair, then pulled it away. She looked at herself in the mirror again. "If Gin can change so can I..." She'd said it with less confidence then she wanted to, but raised the hair and kunai again.

Closing her eyes, she took another breath, and cut. As the slice went thru and the remains feel from her hand she looked at herself again. Her hair no longer hung past her shoulder blades, instead it was just a bit below the shoulder itself. "That wasn't so bad..." She raised the blade again and started making little cuts and changes to give the look style.

Finally after several minutes she pulled her hair up into a high ponytail in back. It fluffed out, and the bangs she left in front gave her face more dimention. The girl looked at herself from a couple of angles, making little slices for the final image. "I like it!" She finally told herself and went to try on the dress with her new hair style.

Sasoku had finally gotten everyone inside that his apartment could really hold. He had started up music and turned on the flicker lights. Then came the games. He was having himself a blast. It was only when he looked over at Gin that he seemed to remember something was missing, something he really wanted, but he wouldn't let that get to him. There were other girls here to flirt with.

Gaki came to Sabra's side after everything got going. "Hey, are you okay?" The pink haired girl nodded, trying to smile at him. "Yeah, just not feeling too well is all." He knelt by her and pressed his forehead to her's. "You're not warm... Would you like me to take you home?" "No!" The startled way she answered worried him, and it showed in his eyes.

Gin waited just out of arm's reach, she saw the look of panic that passed the other girl's face. "Gaki... Can I speak with you?" She said while stepping up to them. "Gin, don't..." "I won't say anything I shouldn't." The boy looked between the two. "I don't know what this is about, but if there's something that needs to be said. Sabra can tell me."

The stony grey haired girl lowered her voice and her eyes to where he could tell she was making a threat. "Either come with me and talk, or I'll talk to you while you suffer in one of my genjustus." The ex-hyuuga didn't move, but Sabra reached out and grabbed his shoulders. "Just go, I'll be okay." That was all it took for him to relent, and follow his cousin.

Once out of the main room the silver eyed girl turned to Gaki with a solemn look. "There's a few things you should know. Some Sabra doesn't want you to, so I won't say them myself, but I'll tell you what I'm willing to and let you put the pieces together." He didn't look at her, but nodded while watching his girlfriend from afar. "Why do I think this is going to hurt me?" "It probly is." "Okay, just thought I'd check..." He finally looked at her with a calm gaze. "Bad news first, then the good, if there is any."

The initiation didn't take long. The elders were already well aware of the situation. Kobe was the obvious choice to be the head of ANBU Black Ops since he was the one that cleaned it out. His accomplishment was great but his focus laid else where. After the ceremony the newly appointed jonin stopped by Chinsei and Akemi's home for some catching up.

The three shared a bottle of rice wine. "Its been a while Kobe. I can't remember the last time we talked." "Yeah thats the way it goes around here. Not much time for yourself. When I was wandering the land of iron I was so relaxed not having to worry about the next attack or having to look over your shoulder. Thats the way it should be you know." "I know what you mean but it will never be. Our forefathers tried many times. All we can do is try to keep the peace old friend." Kobe just nodded.

I'm going to do my best to make the second half of this not as cheesy as your usual romance story proposal. I might fail, but I will try.

Gaki finally raised his head from his hands. He looked up at Gin from where he'd had to sit down while listening. "She'll be okay?" "Yes, but give her some time, let her set the pace." The boy nodded slowly. He stood and forced a smile. "You have no idea how much I want to hit you, but at the same time I want to hug you." He told the medic. "I get that alot, usually from patients." She said with a grin while turning the other ninja back toward the party to return to Sabra.

Sasoku was leaning on the back of Sabra's chair. "Sabra, you look so out of it, do you need me to get you something?" The red head asked, he was concerned when the woman jolted and looked at him like she hadn't known he was there. "No... I'm just distracted." He raised a questioning brow at her, his eyes going dark with seriousness. "Distracted with what?" "Things..." The girl leaned back into the chair and rolled her head back to look at him again. "I should just relax, Gin said so." "She's right, for a change." "What do you mean by that?" "She's just usually too stuborn for her own good, and expects everyone to follow her orders."

"Yeah I generally do." The blue eyed boy looked up to find Gin and Gaki within hearing range. "Speak of the devil... You keep doing that every time I talk about you." Sasoku said while raising off of the chair and throwing his hand to the side. "I just call 'em as I see 'em." He explained, while shrugging off her harsh look. "Yeah, I'm sure..." The medic knelt by her friend's chair. "Do you feel okay?"

Sabra looked up at Gaki then back to her teammate. "I feel sick to my stomach... Should the medicine you gave me do that?" The silver eyed woman touched her friend's throat and seemed to be counting. "It can, in some people... How about you go ahead and let Gaki take you home?"

Sabra sighed, she didn't want to do that, but she started to get out of the chair anyway. Gin touched the other teen's cheeks channeling a little energy into her. "That should help, and keep you from having a headache when you try to sleep." The pink haired girl thanked her, then let Gaki take her hand, and lead her out. Leaving Sasoku and Gin in an uneasy silence. "Why do I think you just lied about something?" The red head finally asked. "Because I've been lieing all afternoon." "I would think that would be normal for you by now." Gin gave him a hard glare. "Unfortunately it is..."

____

Gaki and Sabra were walking in silence till they got to the end of the street. The girl turned to the ex-hyuuga. "I can get home fine, just head on back." "No..." The darker haired teen meet her eyes and touched her face with a tender stroke of his hand. "Sabra..." "Yes?" The boy hesitated, but then put an arm around her and pulled her closer to him, under the street light. "If I could start making enough money, would you consider something?"

Sabra looked at him with those minty eyes of hers, not sure what he was getting at. "Consider what?" Gaki swollowed, his free hand nesting in her hair. "Would you think about marrying me?" The expression that crossed the young woman's face, and the way she went limp in his arms made the boy realize that if he hadn't desided to hold her, she'd of probly fallen.

When she seemed to regain control and streadied herself, she started laughing softly. That hurt his pride, almost making the young man release her, but then she stopped, suddenly pressing her mouth to his. They stayed like that for several moments before she wrapped her arms around him, then said softly. "Gaki, did you really need to ask?" "Well, yes?" She laughed against his neck, causing a thrill up the nin's back. He threw his head back and gripped her tighter. "Please, don't do that to me in public." He murmured, only causing her to laugh again.

"Sabra..." She raised back from him and allowed the other teen to get a grip on his control. "I don't mean anytime soon. I can't support you right now, but I'm going to try to make Jonin then maybe-" The girl cut him off with another quick kiss. Pulling back she smiled at him. "Gaki, I don't need to be supported. By marrying into a family as old as mine the dowry would keep us going for a long time, and we'd get the second house all to ourselves." She looked down with a real smile on her face. "I guess this is what Akemi's reading ment."

"Reading?" "Yes, I had her read my love line today. She said I'd be getting a surprise soon, all afternoon I thought that what happened..." The girl stopped, and pulled away from him. "Gaki, I can't say yes, without telling you first... Today something really... Painful happened to me, and..." His hand brought her face up where she was looking at him again, "I know." Her eyes went wide, "I told Gin not to-" "She didn't... She said alot of things, and let me put what happened together for myself... Sabra, whatever happened today doesn't matter. You are the one I Love, that's why I asked to marry you."

Her eyes were starting to tear up, "But if you knew then how do I know if what you just-" Another kiss cut her off, but she pulled away quickly. Gaki continued speaking, "Sabra, believe me when I say this. I've been waiting for the right time to ask for months. Things just never seemed right, and somehow being explained to what happened made me realize just how much I needed to ask you. How much I need to have you as mine."

Those big green eyes he'd come to see his future in continued to tear up, but she threw herself into his arms. Gaki spun with her, having to use one hand to hold her, and the other to reach out, steady himself on the lightpole. "You mean it?" She murmured, sounding so small and vulnerable. He kissed her hair and held her as close as he dared with the injuries he knew of. "Of course. I've always ment it. I've always ment everything I've said about loving, and wanting you." They stayed there under the single light for several more minutes, together.

Sabra's family is among some of Konoha's oldest, it may be small, but that doesn't always mean anything. Her family has a wealth of resources and people to call on for things that they need. Among their holdings are the two family homes and several smaller homes that are dedicated to the familys that swore to serve the Kusabanas generations before, along with an expanse of the surrounding forest that is legally their's. Marrying into the family may not seem as big as say going into the Inuzukas, or any of the other big ones, but it still means gaining money and power in the village.

Aiko dodged Gigen's arm as he tried to wrap it around her waist. "Please don't."

"What's the matter, don't you love me anymore?" He made to place a hand on her shoulder, but she rotated around.

"Don't touch me. And don't say that word. You know what happened; I can't deal with the L word right now." The kunoichi placed a hand by her eyes to block out the game of spin the bottle that was going on in the corner.

The joker tried to stroke her cheek, but she flinched. "I can understand you not wanting to see pink, but come on! I'm your boyfriend."

She cast her eyes down. "It's not just that."

Her boyfriend's eyes widened. "Is this about your parents?"

No answer.

"Aiko, this is about your parents, isn't it?" He stepped forward. "Look, if you're afraid that we're going to split up like they did, then you're wrong. Look, your mom married Konomashii's dad. So what? They have children who need them to be together to take care of them. You are a strong, independent woman." Gigen tried to place both hands on her shoulders.

"I SAID DON'T TOUCH ME, F***WAD!!!"

And then the last two people on Earth that the duo wanted to see showed up.

"Hey, onee-san," Suki sang with a smirk.

"Hey, dip****," Daisuke growled.

--------

Haruna sighed as she combed her hair. Her neck felt weird. She wasn't allowed to wear her choker so no one could identify her while her mask was gone.

The psychic's daughter stared at her reflection. Were thirteen-year-olds supposed to look so serious and mature. 'No,' she thought. 'I see them laughing and playing everyday. Almost none of them look this serious. Although, none of them work as hard as I do either.'

She stroked her necklace and thought that she really did look like her ancestor. Except for the eyes.

'Enough with that; I need to start thinking about the mission.'

"What do you two think you're doing here?" Hidoi had placed a hand on each of the twins shoulders. Everyone gasped as Hidoi had entered the house. They were shocked at his new appearance, you could tell he had been training a lot, by looking at how well he had developed. "What do you care fire crotch?" Hidoi sighed. "Can someone put them out gently?" Gin stood up, and walked over to them, and put a finger to each of their heads, and they fell into Hidoi's arms. He placed them down in chairs, and walked over to Konomashii. "I thought you would have at least left them with someone responsible before you left the Village. Then again, look at who your dad is, and look at how irresponsible you both are." He walked out of the house like nothing had happened, leaving Konomashii standing there, speechless for once.

Shisui had left Hidoi at a house where a party seemed to be happening, and continued on to Chinsei and Akemi's home. When he got there, he saw lights, and heard laughter from inside. He knocked on the door, and Chinsei answered it. "Aaaaayyy, Shusiui. What bings ya ta da Villige?" "Chinsei, are you drunk?" He was laughing at his old friend as he spoke. "Mmmabe jus' a lil' bit. Gin couldn't help but laugh at the expression on Konomashii's face as the other Light nin left. She stood there drinking in that look for a few moments in satisfaction before heading out to see if she could find where the other teen had gone. It didn't take much to catch up to him outside.

"Hey, you're Hidoi right?" She asked as she fell into step with him. "Yes..." "My name is Gin, and I've been trying to do what you just did to Kono all day. How did you know just what it would take to shut him up?" The medic asked while taking in the other nin's appearence, he was rather striking. She wondered just what his speciality might be.

Sasoku disappeared into his room for a moment, returning with a blanket to wrap around the children, he liked his home far too chilly for little ones.

He then went to where Aiko and Gigen seemed to be talking in a rather heated way. "Hey, I don't know what the arguement is about, but I also don't care. Now if you would't mind I would like to take the lovely lady over to dance." The red head had leaned himself in between Gigen and Aiko, and she seemed rather happy to have an excuse to get away.

The blue eyed boy could feel the joker's stare burning into his back as he walked away with the other young man's girlfriend, who seemed most willing to go with him. The two went to the cleared area of the room and waited for a new song to start. As they danced though Sasoku took the time to speak. "If you need me to ask him to leave so you can enjoy yourself, I can." He offered to the woman as they moved. The ginger actually seemed rather adept at dancing, which wasn't expected.

When the music changed again after a few minutes Sasoku waited for his answer. He was the host after all, and she was a friend. If Gigen was upsetting her it would be his pleasure to remove the dual haired annoyance from his home. It'd also be satisfying to get him back for the incident earlier.

Sasoku is one of those people who is good about waiting for the right time to do things. He tries to predict when people are most likely to welcome his help or company. He also takes get pleasure in getting little bits of revenge at the most perfect moments. Vindictive, no, he would never say such a thing, but that doesn't make it any less true.

"Thanks."

The two were quiet as they continued to dance.

Gin smiled at him, "That sounds good. There's a little shop just up another couple of blocks." The Light nin followed her directions. After they were seated and looking at the menu the silver eyed girl looked over at Hidoi. "I believe last you were here was back during the first chunin exam we attended together. So what brings you to Konoha after so long? I know the Light and Leaf are close, but you don't seem to be here for business."

____

Sasoku looked away from the girl's face, she didn't seem to want contact, just to be away from Gigen. Staring over at where the joker was the red head watched him walk out. He was fuming when he left, and that made the trickster smirk. "Well I'll dance as long as you want to so you can cool down. Afterall I can't have you not enjoy one of my parties, that would be bad for my reputation." He said casually while looking at Aiko again.

Gaki had walked Sabra to her house and left her at the door, he planned to go to Zen's sense Sasoku was back the red head wouldn't have a place for him to sleep, Zen did. He was nearly to the compound when the white haired teen stormed out past the gates of the residence.

The ex-hyuuga wasn't sure what to make of his friend's actions, but he saw the bag hung over his shoulder, along with a furious look. Zen brushed past the other nin with the words. "Don't go home tonight." Gaki turned to watch him stalking away in anger, "Wait, why?" The archer shot him a glare over his shoulder. "I had an arguement with my father." He looked away from his teammate then, speeding up his pace.

Gaki was left cursing in the street. If going to Zen's ment he'd get involved in an arguement, and Sasoku's ment sleeping on the floor he'd much prefer Sasoku's... Still it wasn't the way he had hoped to spend his night. He looked down at the darkened road, and spotted a black rock, his eyes lite with an idea. "Kobe! Kea always has an extra room open." He dashed into the night headed for his second master's house.

____

A persistent knock at the door brought Sheu up to the front of the house. She opened it to find a most irritated looking boy. "Zen? Sabra's not going out again, I'm sorry." The old woman told him. "It's not Sabra-chan I need, it's Miss Kisa, or Tanshi." The nurse-maid stepped aside and called for the lady of the house.

Zen was sitting with his head down when she came up to greet him. "Well, you're not exactly who I would expect at this time of night." He didn't look up at her as she came to sit opposite him. "I appologize for the time... I would like to ask for a place to stay, at least over night." Kisa thought on that. "I can let you stay in our other house, but I'd like to know why you need someplace. You're family has a number of homes you could use, and your house has several rooms that I know of."

The boy finally meet her eyes with his. "I cannot go there right now. My father would only track me down, and I do not wish to continue our 'discussion' for fear of doing something I would regret later." His seriousness was all it took to convence the mother of his needs. "I'll get proper shoes then."

"No need Momma, I'll take him." Sabra stood only a few feet away in the hall, coming toward them. "I have a bed and everything else I'd need there to so I wouldn't have to come back. You'd have to come back for the twins, and I don't want you out this late." Kisa laughed at her daughter. "Isn't it me that shouldn't want you out this late?" "Yes, but I won't be alone. Zen is more then ninja enough to defend me, even if I still can't fight." The teen explained.

Zen rose from the seat and turned to her. She hadn't said anything to him yet, but she was already slipping on sandels and opening the door. The archer followed her out after bowing to Kisa. As soon as they were away from the house the boy looked over at his friend. "Sabra-chan, you look so happy, did something good happen after I saw you last?" She bobbed her head swiftly, "Yes! Gaki asked me to marry him!"

The white haired teen stopped in his tracks, and when she looked back at him the pet trainer realized he was laughing to himself. "What's so funny?" He looked to her his eyes shining like he might of been ready to cry. "He gets to ask you to marry him the same night I'm forbidden to marry Gin... Lucky bas***d..." Sabra reached a hand to him in concern. "What do you mean forbidden?" "My father said he would not stand for me to bring her into the Yaites. I do not know why he has become so stubborn, but I suspect a deal gone wrong with a different member of her family."

The archer took her hand and turned her around to continue walking. He held her arm in his like he'd been trained to act as a gentlemen. "I would rather not go into the details of the arguement." "I understand..." They walked in silence the several blocks to the other Kusabana residence. As Sabra let him in Zen watched her with a strange attentiveness.

He was still doing so when they came inside and Sabra told a cute teen why they were there. The girl, called Medo, had run off to tell the other servants that they were staying the night. It was after she was gone that the pink haired chunin noticed Zen's behavior. "Is something wrong?" Those dark teal eyes of his captured her's. "No, I was just thinking things that perhaps I shouldn't of been... Please, lead on to the rooms, I wouldn't want to keep you up all night."

The white haired man followed her closely as she took him to a nice plain room, it was obvious that this was for guests, it had all the little things missing that say the room was usually left unoccupied. He sat his bag down and went rigid when the girl hugged him goodnight. As she closed the door he collapsed back onto the bed.

Holding a hand to his face the young man sighed in flusteration. "Why does she always have to smell so good when I'm confused about something? Why does it have to be her? Gin just doesn't do this to me..." He questioned the darkness like it had answers for him. Sitting up he wonder about the young woman who'd just stepped out.

He didn't usually feel this way, but whenever he was upset there was something about her that drew him. That curious smell of pumpkins and lavender she carried always calmed him down, and made him think things he shouldn't about a woman who he was not with. He didn't know why, and that was what was most distracting about it. He pushed the thoughts aside while changing for sleep, perhaps the rest would clear his mind...

"Shisui just wanted some company on the way here. He's the ambassador between our villages." "Oh, I see. Have you made Chunin since?" "Not yet, but then I haven't entered a Chunin Exam since that one." "Why not?" A man came with two glasses of water, and set them on the table. He stood, awaiting their orders. "I've been training, developing new techniques. Even experimenting with different combinations." "Such as?" She had raised an eyebrow, as she had become very intrigued. "If I told you that, they wouldn't be secret, would they?" He took a drink of water, trying to hide his smirk.

Shisui walked into the house, followed by his drunken friend. "Shisui! It's nice to see you!" Akemi stood and gave him a hug. "Well, I figured I would stop by and congratulate the two of you, since I had to come to the Village on business." She sat back down, and Shisui noticed another man sitting opposite Akemi. "Oh, hello. I'm Shisui." "Name's Kobe, nice to meet you." They shook hands. "Oh, I'm surprised you've never met, both being Medical Nin. Isn't that funny Chinsei?" She looked to her right, and he was passed out, his head on her shoulder. He was drooling a little bit too. "Well, let's let him sleep, how are you two?"

Aiko kept quiet as Sasoku walked her home after the party. They each had one of the twins in their arms.

"...Thanks, for tonight. I'm sorry about the dance, it's just that..." She stared at Suki's duel colored hair and sighed. "Let's just say that I didn't really come with Kitty and Sunshine two months ago because they were entering the chunin exams. They could have come here without me. I needed to get away...for several reasons."

"I't okay, I underst--"

"OhmygodAikoisthatyouWhat'supwithSuki-senpaiandDaisuke-kunhuh!?"

Both jumped as a small redhead seemingly popped out of nowhere. She had pale skin and big, green eyes framed by thick glasses. She had braces, which made her words slightly slurred.

"Hey, Eiko," the winged kunoichi grumbled.

She turned to Sasoku. "IsthisyourfriendHiI'mEikoIfollowedSuki-senpaiandDaisuke-kuntothisvillageWhat'syourname?" She extended her hand.

The ex-Suna chunin took her hand. "Er, what?"

"WhatareyouhardofhearingIaskedyouwhatyournameis."

"She asked for your name," the pale-haired kunoichi explained. "Sasoku, this is Eiko, Suki's and Daisuke's devoted follower. Eiko, this is Sasoku."

"They're okay, a friend of mine just had to help them sleep."

"IalwaysdidsaytheyneededmorerestAlrightwhereareyous tayingCanIstaywithyou?"

Aiko sighed. "Fine. Onward to Kobe's house."

The trio continued walking, the two unconscious academy students with them. But the young redhead didn't stop babbling.

Gin took a small drink and ordered, then looked back at Hidoi. "Talking like that you sound like a chunin already. Maybe we should spare sometime soon and see what you've got. A little bit of you show me yours and I might show you mine. Maybe you'll pick up on one of my techniques and make it your own." The jonin said while bridging her fingers and resting her head on them while she waited. It was her interested, but not enough to say it, pose.

Sasoku could only stand to walk so far with the jibbering high pitched brat following them. "Aiko, can I please put her out too? I'll carry her." The winged woman shook her head. "Let her talk..."

"Heyyouneveranswered! Areyouherboyfriend?"

The ginger rolled his eyes. "Kid, you can only be someone's boyfriend if they want you to be. As far as I know Aiko doesn't." He glanced at Aiko, and asked in a whisper. "Do you?"

Aiko tightened her hold on Suki as though she were a teddy bear. "I'm not sure I want anything I used to anymore. Everything seems to be changing too fast for me to keep up." Tears came to her eyes, but she hid them. "I just don't know how...I feel about...anything these days."

"OhmygodIknowShe'sevenholdingherhalfsisterinaprotec tivemannerThatneverhappens."

Sasoku took a calming breath to force away his headache.

"Anyway, we're here." The three stopped in front of the building. The winged kunoichi took her half-brother from the red-haired chunin. "Thanks again, Sasoku. Goodnight."

When the academy student trio was tucked into the beds of a guest room, Aiko went to her own room. Almost as soon as her door was closed, she sank to her knees and began to cry.

Due to her parents' terible relationship, Aiko's emotions and sanity have never been completely stable, especially because she puts so much faith in true love. Even though she does use sex appeal as a weapon in battle, she has never been comfortable with the idea of sex. This discomfort is because of her mother's proffesion and the fact that she closely resembles her mom. As such, she is going through a lot of stress right now.

Gaki had come down to get a drink after Kea had showed him to one of the free rooms. On his way back to his room he passed one that he wasn't sure who was in it. There was a light sobbing sound coming from inside. He stopped to listen for a moment. It was a woman he could tell by the pitch, but he wasn't sure if it was Kea or Aiko, he knew the darker skinned girl was staying here too.

He had been taught not to use his byakugan to look in on people who were in their rooms, but the crying bothered him. He knocked lightly on the door. "Are you alright in there?" He asked in a tender a tone as he could. He waited with his hand on the door, wondering if the person would even respond, but the sobbing stopped for a moment after he spoke.

____

Sasoku made his way home slowly. He stopped at the front of the Nibairou house, looking over toward the window he knew was in the twin's room. He watched as a figure appeared there for a second between the blinds, then the light in the room went out. Looking down at the street the red head continued on, he knew it was better to focus on other things.

He had made it back to his apartment, but when he went inside he was surprised to find Gigen sitting near the door. "What are you still doing here?" The ginger questioned while stepping past the threash-hold and turning his back on the other ninja, going to get a drink. He heard the other nin move and looked to see the joker rounding on him. Feeling just a touch of threat in the move Sasoku slid to the other side of the table that the drinks rested on. "Gigen, what do you want?"

Aiko rose from her seat on the floor. She scrubbed her face with her arm before opening the door. "Oh, hi Gaki."

"Are you alright?" the ex-hyuuga repeated.

"Yeah. I just got some dust in my eyes," she lied. Judging by the look on his face, he didn't believe her, but she just smiled and said, "Honestly. I'll be fine."

Gaki sighed and started back on his way. The winged kunoichi shut the door when he was gone. She changed into her pajamas and crawled under the covers on her bed.

Even though Aiko is less stubborn than Haruna, she's still pretty stubborn when it comes to admitting that she's not fine and that she needs help. She can go days without telling anyone about what's bothering her.

Gigen tackled him, jumping over the table, and sat on top of him. He started smacking his face, and the two were rolling around on the floor. "Gigen, what the hell?! What did I do!?" "You know exactly what!" Sasoku was blocking has face from every hit that Gigen threw, but Gigen still managed some hits.

Sasoku used some Chakra strings to grab a vase and fling it at Gigen's head. He jumped up and ran to the other side of the room, and took a stance. He attached some strings to a chair, and pulled it, and a table, in between he and Gigen, trying to get some distance between the two.

Gigen jumped over the table, and started hitting Sasoku. He was pretty bad at Taijutsu, so it was really just a little fist fight, because Sasoku didn't want to get into a real fight. He stuch a few strings to Gigen, trying to subdue him, but Gigen managed to break free. He jumped back behind the chairs and table, and pulled out a deck of cards.

"That might be fun, but, you are a Jonin, and I'm just a Genin, it might be a little bit unfair." He looked at her face, and her expression was the same. "Were you planning on shocking me with that?" "No, not at all. Just saying that you might have an unfair advantage as all. It doesn't matter though, advantages don't mean anything, neither does rank." Sabra had, in fact, been partenered with Isamu and Kyou for the exams. Hidoi and Konomashii were also able to find a third teammate to take Gigen's place.

But wait, there's more!

Unlike last time, it wasn't those who made it to the second round who were made chunin. Sasoku, despite being eliminated first round, was promoted. In fact, everyone but Suteneko, Kyou, Hikaru, and the unnamed Light nin were made chunin. Haruna couldn't help but let a small smile escape as she thought that those who made it deffinitely deserved to.

Gin grinned at him. "If I said it would be fair I'd be lieing. Still, I would hold back to let you show me what you can do." The stony haired girl told him. Before she could say anything more a quake shook the little resturant and threw her from the chair. Hidoi helped her to her feet quickly. "I think we need to check that out." "You're right..."

____

Sasoku looked at the deck of cards as the joker started to draw some out. He knew what the other teen was capable of and threw his hand forward. The deck was tossed aside by chakra strings, and left Gigen holding only three cards. "These are more then enough." He insisted as he looked at what he'd drawn.

The red head was quickly scanning the room for anything be could use as a distraction. "Gigen, I really don't want your girl. She looked upset, I broke in between your fight. If it wasn't for me doing that she might of broken up with you. Cool down!" As he spoke the ginger lifted a can of soda with his threads, raising it behind the other boy's head he shook it with the chakra strings.

"Cool down! How dare you tell me to do something so obsurd after you did such a thing!" Gigen raised a card about to turn it around and use a jutsu when Sasoku pulled the tab on the coke, spraying soda all down the other nin's back and in his hair. It splattered the floor and the cards he held, staining the clothing and the carpet.

Sasoku looked toward the door. "I suggest a good cold shower." He said while dashing for the exit. He needed to be in the open, he need to be standing on earth not just wood and flooring. If he was going to stand a chance without hurting the other teen he had to have earth to use, he just didn't have the chaka strength to use his puppet techniques like a really master would. He might have the skills to do the job, but if you don't have the energy to use those skills there's not much point.

The blue eyed boy turned on his heel once he was outside, watching the door to the apartment complex. When the card user came out he had retrieve his desk and had pulled a full hand of cards from it. "Let's find out your worst fear, shall we?" He said menacingly. Sasoku raised his strings to try to intercept the cards before they could be charged, but was too slow. The images rose off of the faces, charged with the power of the other boy's genjutsu.

Sasoku tried to raise his hand to stop the slice from the illusionary jester, but that didn't matter as the image swiped at his face. The red head grabbed at his eyes, holding his palms to them and blinking as fast as he could. He started babbling to himself. "It's a genjustu you can still see. It's just a dream, a nightmare..." He could feel a pair of large panels encircle him, pressing his body between them.

Gigen grinned with triumph as his cards assulted the other teen. "Being blind is your fear? How appropriate sense you only seem to care what someone looks like, don't you think?" He stalked toward the disabled chunin. "Maybe I'll make it come true."

A roll of panic spread thru the red head and he reacted the only way he could think of. He yelled while forcing as much of his chakra into the ground as he dared. The burst rocked the earth and broke the justu. Gigen fell back as the ground shook. It opened up around him, dragging his arms and legs below.

Sasoku glared down at him, breathing hard, and flushed. "I'm a chunin for a reason. If you want to keep fighting, fine, but I will hurt you if you do. You just made me relive the worst event of my life, and I have no problem making you pay for it." He threatened, pulling a whip out from behind him, sliding free from it holster under his back.

Gigen looked up at him. "Oh, and what would you do?" "I'd start with beating some sense and respect into you." As Sasoku raised his hand back about to slap him across the face with the whip when a hand wrapped around his wrist, and a pair of hands all but ripped Gigen from the earthen trap. "You interupted our dinner." Gin said as she pressed into the back of Sasoku's neck with her other hand.

"Sorry?" He murmured right before a she sent a wave of energy into his spine and brought him to his knees. Hidoi looked down at Gigen. "You have some explaining to do, like what the hell happened, and why you're covered in soft drink." Sasoku chuckled even as Gin held his hands above his head. "The coke's from me." He looked back at the girl that held him. "He's mad that I danced with Aiko."

"You did more then that!" Gigen insisted, but Hidoi held him down when he tried to get at the red head. "You are both going to get a long lecture from Lady Hokage." The jonin informed them, and moved her head enough to command Hidoi to help her take them away. "How did you get here so fast?" Sasoku asked as she helped him back up. "Lets just say you owe us a meal." "What?"

Yay. Prepare to meet Kobe's dysfunctional family!

The small group had become completed wasted, save Akemi, by the end of the night thanks to prodding from Kobe. It wasn't really clear what they did but drunk ninjas never stay in one place. In the morning Kobe awoke with a splintering headache. When he walked into the kitchen he found Kea busy making something. "How a kiss good morning little lady?" Kobe asked moving in on her. She pushed him back looking around, "We have company. Besides you smell bad." On qu Gaki walked in with a towel around his shoulder, "Morning all." Kobe sat back down and started eating feeling dejected. The pale eyed chunin took a seat next to Kobe, "So since I'm here how about a little training. I need a good sparring match to keep keen." Kobe opened his mouth to speak but Kea answered for him, "Not today. Kobe has a deck to repair." The dark man looked at his pupil and shrugged feeling even more dejected.

Aiko strolled in slowly. "What's the matter Neci you look like hell." Kobe blurted without thinking. Kea smacked him as she passed by towards Aiko, "Be nice fool. She's your neice for goodness sake." As she gave Aiko a consoling hug Kobe rubbed the back of his head feeling very dejected. Kea and Aiko walked into the next room to talk.

As the afro wearer got to work he focused his chakra to his wood element. Large slots of wood formed out of the ground and began forming. His eyes shut in concentration and when opened them he saw a hideous mess of wood. Dejection. This continued for almost 4 hours progressively getting better until finally he had the perfect patio. Feeling majorly strained Kobe stood up and surveyed his work.

In a nearby tree two figures stood watching Kobe. The larger one kneeled down and whispered, "Its time to show the fruits of your labor son." They both grinned and the smaller one jumped out of the tree sprinting for Kobe. His roar caught the black jonin's attention. Kobe turned and wathed curiously as the short teen ran at him yelling. Then something caught his eye the taller man still in the tree. While distracted the young teen landed to hard blows to Kobe's gut. "What the-" Kobe cried as he straightened himself. "Are you not Yamashi Kobe? I am Yamashi Codi and I have one goal, to defeat my brother in combat." "I don't even know who you are and I don't have a brother."

Ignoring Kobe the teen took out out two oversized twin hooks and began swinging recklessly. Kobe dodged the blades deftly before grabbing one of Codi's arms and twisting the boy to his knees. "I'm not your brother so back off shorty." Codi's eyes widened, "What did you call me?!" The significantly lighter skinned teen backflipped and wrenched himself free from Kobe's grasp. Landing on the deck he started making handsigns only to be wrapped up in wood. Kobe had seen those signs before. "Don't! Not on the deck!" "Human Bomb!" It was too late. An explosion flowered from the back of the house.

Not only was the entire deck destroyed but a gaping hole was left in the wall where Kea could be seen with a look of shock on her face. Kobe let his head hang down in frustration. As the smoke cleared Codi sat crosslegged in a small crater looking like burnt sushi with white of his smile illuminating. The afro man looked at the young teen and it was like looking at younger version of himself. Codi had loose curls that fell over his head. He wore a plain grey shirt with a double strap to hold his twin hooks and black shorts that were a felty material. His jutsu Kobe thought its the one my father taught me, could he really be... A voice behind him made his heart drop, "He's just like you isn't he Bobo?"

Kobe turned to see his father standing before him. There was a long pause as they stared at each other before they finally embraced. "I missed you son." Kea's shock and anger melted away as she watched the scene. She let them talk a little before walking out and introducing herself. "This is my father Ryobi." "Nice to meet you. Kobe is always talking about you." "Good to hear. Come over here Codi and make a proper introduction."

They all went inside and sat in the living room. "So when did you quit the Order dad?" "Soon after you did. Their ideals were becoming much to radical for me and when you were banished I could take no more." Kobe knew that his father felt remorse over his actions and forgave him many years ago. "And where is mom? Please tell me she's still alive." "Oh yes she's fine. She'll be here soon but she's waiting for the movers." "So you're moving to Konoha then!" "Yes of course. We heard of you through your reputation that is how we found you. If this place is where you call home then we shall also." Codi crossed his arms at the statement and looked away. Noticing the boy's body language Kobe smirked, "And what about this guy?" Their father chuckled, "He's heard about you all his life. All your 'assassinations' and your rise in the leaf village. He's just a little jealous but deep down inside he wants to be like you." "Hmph" was all the youngster said.

Kobe smiled for a moment then looked back to his father with a stern face, "Then I take it you know." Ryobi nodded, "I found the body former kit after you left. Then at the bodies you had killed. It all became clear then. Where are they though thats what I don't understand." "They're safe. Remember this doesn't leave this room or my plans are ruined." The dark skinned man glanced at Kea who had a disturbed look on her face and decided to say no more about it. "Well you're welcome to stay as long as you want here. And we need to get Codi enrolled in the academy pronto." "Ha. I came here for the chunin exams. The academy is much to easy." The curly haired boy protested. "You don't have a choice. Its academy or nothing. Codi slouched in his chair thinking about away around it.

At that moment Kobe realized his life was finally coming together.

Dam I have to go I'll finish later. and I fixed the Akemi thing. My bad. Any who that was a post I've been itching to do. His father was a legendary axe or leader in the Order. Kobe was his prodegy who specialized in assassinations. They were sent to kill 256 people who held power. Soon after Kobe lost his nerve and let a target live. For that he was banished from the Order. His mother took care of him since she lived away from the Order. She gave him the nick name Bobo hence the alias Bo. Once she was captured he was forced to wander threatened that if he ever came near her to save her they would kill her. For years he traveled all the nations before settling in Leaf.

I don't mind if you go on just don't use Kobe.

I'm ganna guess that means no one can come out to help? :(

Sasoku walked home in the early morning, feeling about as low as cockroach. The Hokage had made the two teens 'talk' things out, and forced them to compliment eachother till they were no longer glaring across the room. Now they just hated eachother on principle instead of over a girl. The next time they saw eachother sparks would fly, and not the romantic kind, more like off of weapons.

____

Gin and Kin had a discussion about their hair when they got up in the morning. They desided to take a new picture to show how they'd changed. It was now hanging in the middle of their room while they talked about the previous night. It was just past noon when Gin said she had to go to meet Hidoi, and Kin desided to get ready for her evening date.

____

Gaki and Aiko were headed into town together, he had asked to escort her at least as far as the Kusabana house. He was very friendly but didn't press for conversation, he'd learned long ago not to try to make a woman talk, it might cause a tongue lashing of an unpleasant variety.

____

Zen and Sabra sat at a table eating lunch that Medo had prepared. "Your family is so different from my own." He said while giving a chunk of bread to Kuro who sat on his shoulder. The little black animal had a great liking for the white haired teen. Anytime that he could Kuro would abandon his master's side for the archer. The little beast ate happily while Sabra giggled at them.

"What do you mean different?" "Well, your families power in the village does not come from population, or a kekkei genkai. You have few members of the actual Kusabana bloodline, yet you have several families that are aligned to yours." The green eyed girl thought on that. "Well, there's only four that are bound to my family, and none of them have ninja in them." "That's exactly what I mean by different, it's not like any other highly thought of clan I know of." He handed Kuro another treat as he spoke.

Sabra giggled at them again. "You're going to make my pets fat." Zen looked over at the little animal on his shoulder. The ferret's belly was rounded and plump from treats, and he was still trying to nibble the most recent one. "I guess it's good I do not have one." He said while setting the creature on the floor. "None sense, I think you should have one. I could easily train an animal for you, to do things like fetch your arrows after you shoot, or stay on lookout while you sleep on missions."

Zen looked at her in that strange way he had the night before. "You are too kind to me, Sabra. Do you always think of others in such ways?" The girl shrugged, "No. Usually only the people I think highly of." That made the teen grin. His face fell though as the table cloth started to move. "Kuro!" Sabra snapped just before the cloth came out from under the dishes, splitting the glasses and causing a plate to turn over.

Aoi lept from Sabra's lap where he'd been sleeping and dashed off with his oppositely colored littermate to hide from the girl. Zen quickly stood starting to clean up the mess. He didn't predict Sabra's movement and then ended up hitting eachother's head when they reached for the same thing. He leaned back and looked at her, swiftly he appologized.

Moving forward again to look at the spot as she reached for it he cought the scent of her hair and it reminded him of dreams he wished he hadn't had the night before. The teen pulled back sharply, "I'll go get a towel." He said as an excuse as he left to avoid her seeing the embarassment that colored his face. He stayed in the bathroom for a moment calming himself. "I must leave... I have to find Gin and talk to her..." He said as he looked at himself in the mirror. The scarlet on his cheeks making him feel dirty.

----

He kept his hands to himself when he went back to help clean up. He told Sabra and Medo he would return later for his things, but that he had to talk to someone. They let him go without question, he was thankful for that. He found his way to the training ground he and Gin used most often. She was there, and seemed to be waiting on someone. Her eyes lite up when he came toward her.

She ran to him and kissed the taller teen without warning, when he didn't respond the medic looked up at him questioningly. "Is something wrong?" "Yes." You never want to heard someone answer yes to that, even when you're stone cold to most people. Gin looked him up and down, "Are you hurt?" "Yes, but it's nothing you can heal." Worry entered the kunoichi's face for the first time in months. "What is it?"

Zen took a deep breath and held her a moment before putting her at arm's length. "Babe, my beautiful, bittersweet, babe. You have brought so much life into my world." She held a hand up to stop him. "Why does it sound like you're breaking up with me?" Those teal eyes closed, he couldn't look at her. "Because I am." Gin felt like she could have be blown over by a baby. "But I-we agreed last month that our arguements were over!"

The way her voice went up in pitch was the only sign she had reacted at all, and that hurt as Zen looked at her sadly. "I know... I'm sorry." He let go of her shoulders and turned his back to her. "I have been forbidden to marry you by my family, and you would never agree even if they would allow it. I cannot fight both of you at the same time. I see no reason to pursue you if I cannot make you mine... So I will let you go, perhaps you will find a man that can better fulfill your needs." He started to walk away, but the kunoichi ran infront of him.

Her big silver eyes shined up at him. "You can't do this! So what if your father or whoever said no? They're not you! It's your choice who you marry!" His face shifted from sad to a kind of mellowed humor. "It is not my choice alone. It is also the person I wish to marry who makes the choice, and Babe, you have said no a dozen times." He kissed her temple as he stepped around her, leaving the girl standing there in shock.

She turned to watch his retreating back, shaken emotionally, her face barely hiding her torment. The woman heard a voice behind her. She forced herself to look to the person. Her pain shifted to anger, she hoped that was healthier for her. "You're very unlucky Hidoi-kun. Because I really need something to beat up right now." She said while stalking toward the other ninja. A solid spar would help settle her thoughts, or so she hoped.

The next morning, Chinsei woke up in an awkward position. He, Shisui and Akemi were asleep........in the same bed! Chinsei was holding Akemi in his arms, while Shisui was sprawled out across the two of them. "Shisui, get up! Go turn the alarm off, would ya?" He moaned at Chinsei, but after a minute got up, and shut the alarm off. He walked back over to the bed, and layed on the side where Chinsei was. He threw his right arm over Chinsei, and squeezed his left arm under his neck. He squeezed him tightly too. "G'Night Konmei." Chinsei was too hungover to realize the significance of what his friend had just said.

After another hour and a half of sleeping, Chinsei woke up again, this time, with a clearer head. He felt someone behind him in the bed, and turned to give Akemi a kiss. After kissing 'her' he opened his eyes to see Shisui. "Shisui what the hell?! Why are you spooning with me?! Where's Akemi?!" All he did in response was grunt. He could hear someone in the kitchen, so he went out to find Akemi cooking breakfast. "Do I smell eggs?" He wrapped his arms around her from behind and kissed her neck. "That, and bacon, sausages, bagels and toast." "You know, you're incredible."

Chinsei set the table while Akemi finished cooking. He set it for three: himself, Akemi and Shisui, who had decided to stay with them during his stay here, as he had moved out of his apartment in the Leaf, and back to the Light. When he finished setting the table, Shisui came out, groggily, and sat at one of the seats. "Chinsei, why are you using a Clone Jutsu?" Chinsei shook his head, and patted his friends shoulder. "I'm not dude, you're just really hungover." Shisui held his head, and groaned again.

Chinsei went back to the kitchen, and took the large platter of eggs, and brought them over to the table. He went back and grabbed two plates; one piled with bacon, the other with sausages, and Akemi brought the toast and bagels, as well as butter and cream cheese. Chinsei went back to get some cheese and ketchup, and a jug of orange juice. He poured three cups, and gave one to Akemi, and another to Shisui, and kept one for himself.

They all began to eat, Chinsei taking a large portion of eggs, several thick slices of bacon, and a few breakfast sausages. He also took a bagel, and began to put cream cheese on it, as well as putting cheese and ketchup on his eggs. Shisui took 6 slices of toast, and buttered them. He took a few spoonfuls of the eggs, and took a few sausages. Akemi took what was left of the eggs, which was a good amount, a bagel, a couple of thick slices of bacon, and some sausages. The trio began to eat, and talk about old times.

Hidoi looked at the girl questioningly. "What's wrong?" She threw a punch at him, and he flipped backwards, narrowly avoiding the fist. "Nothing that concerns you!" She rounded on him, throwing multiple punches and kicks, but he continued to dodge, and managed to avoid the majority of attacks. "Fight back dammit!"

Gigen had spent a nice evening in jail. Gin had locked him up, and had him charged with "Disturbing the Peace". When he was let out, he wasn't sure what to do, but he knew he was hungry. He walked over to a small stand, and ordered a breakfast sandwich to go. He walked to one of the training fields, and sat by a small pond, and began to eat. He was still a little mad, but he couldn't stop thinking about Aiko.

__________________________________________________

After what Hidoi had said to him at the party last night, Konomashii hadn't been able to sleep. Instead, he had stayed up all night, thinking about how he behaved, and how his father behaved, and had compared it to other fathers, and the relationships they had with their sons. When he had turned 6, Konomashii's dad had taken him for a night out on the town, taking him to strip clubs and bars, whereas a few of his friends had gone fishing with their fathers.

When he had graduated the Academy, his father hadn't been there to congratulate him like everyone else's parents had been. Instead, he had been at another random womans house, getting laid. Since there was nobody there to celebrate with him, a friend's mother had invited him to a party that was being thrown for her son, and to sleepover for a few days.

When the sun had come up, he wanted to get out of the dreary apartment, but he didn't know where to go, or what to do. After an hour of sitting on the stoop of the building he was staying in, he decided to go out, and get some food. He found a small ramen stand, and sat on a stool, and ordered a large bowl. While he was waiting for the ramen, he continued thinking about his past.

Gin threw another swing toward the male ninja. He parried the assault, rolling with it, and coming behind the jonin. She twisted in a strangely fluid whirl coming in a rounded motion with one foot planted on the ground, and another aimed for his chest. He bent over almost compeltly backwards to avoid, and came up where they finally stood facing eachother.

"Fight back!" She yelled in his face. "NO." "Why not!" Hidoi reached up and touched her face his hand coming back wet, and showing it to her. "The girl I promised a fight last night wasn't the type to cry over something that wasn't going to affect her performance. Even if you're higher ranked then me, I refuse to fight someone this upset." He said to her in a very calm way, trying to be patient.

Gin slapped at him, he let her, but he grabbed her hand as it passed over his cheek. "You're yelling, and you're crying... You've just been hurt quite badly, tell me, maybe I can help." The medic tried to pull away, but he didn't let go. She tried to hit him wih the other hand, and he grabbed that wrist too, leaving her arms crossed.

"Let me go..." The woman hissed. "Talk." "No..." "Then I'll just wait till you break down and cry, then we'll talk." Hidoi held her wrist tighter as she looked at him with heat and tear filled eyes. "You wouldn't understand." He shook his head. "How do you know that?" Gin let her head fall and tried to still her mind. "I Love him... He's the only man I've Loved..." She murmured in little more then a whisper, between gritted teeth, and tears.

"So why would he hurt you like he obviously has? What did he do to you?" She looked away from his face. "Like I said, you wouldn't get it." She began trying to squirm, and he held her tighter. "Try me." She looked up at him, and started crying harder. She began to slump, and he held her up, and slowly sat her down on the ground, still holding her arms as he sat beside her. "Talk to me."

Gin let him hold her as she broke down. She hadn't weeped like this sense she was a child. The medic tried to swollow back the hurt but just ended up with gulping sobs. "You--You can't-- You can't tell anyone..." she managed out. Hidoi sighed, of course, ninja at heart, wouldn't want to loose face in front of her peirs.

The girl shook a little. She tried to pull away and he let her this time. The young woman turned her back on him, and held her hands to her face. "Damn his father, his family, and his da**able honor." A pair of gentle hands rubbed her shoulders, and Hidoi murmured. "Shush... A man's honor only matters when he thinks that there is no way to get around it."

That made her look up and over at him. "I don't understand." The man rolled his eyes. "A man will forsake honor for Love, if he thinks it will be the only way to get what he desires." Her big eyes blinked at him, "He always said he wanted me." The other ninja sighed again. "Did you ever say no to him over something important?"

She hesitated, "Yes... Repeatedly I told him I would never..." She tried to stand, but the male pulled her back down to sit. "Don't run off half cocked. Think about everything you've done together. Don't jump after him after he hurt you like this. Make sure you know everything there is to know. He might hurt you again if you just chase after him now."

Gin let her head hang. "I'd have to spy on his father to know everything... Even as good as I am I don't think I could get into that house unnoticed. They're all ninja in that family, except the women, and if the men of the house say jump they're the type to do it." She explained while pulling at and hand combing her hair in a sign of confusion and flusteration.

As Gigen was sitting by the pond, eating, he began to think about last night even more. He began to think less about how he was feeling, and more about how Aiko must have been feeling. She had been really distant lately, but that was to be expected after what they had all gone through. He had just been trying to help her, and had started to realize maybe he had been making it worse when he looked up. He saw Aiko walking, this time, not with Sasoku, but with Gaki. His rage flushed back into him, and he stood up, kicking the rest of his food into the pond. He ran towards the two to talk to them.

Gaki was trying to entertain Aiko as they walked, and was telling her a story about Sabra. "And then she made the most mousy kind of sqeek and fell out of the tree!" The girl laughed, "I'd of never thought spiders would be her weakness!" They were smiling and laughing when Gigen reached them. He looked furious, and we very flushed.

He eyed Gaki like he'd done something offencive, then looked to Aiko. "What's going on here?" He said in a dark way. The winged girl blinked at him confused, then looked at Gaki. "He was walking with me till we get to Sabra's. I was ganna go up the mountian from there." She explained when the ex-hyuuga shrugged at her.

The joker seemed to relax a tad, but still gave Gaki a hard look as he moved to allow them to pass. He fell into step with the duo next to Aiko. "Where do you think you're going?" She questioned while watching him out of the corner of her eye. "With you of course?" He answered with a matter-of-fact tone. Gaki raised a brow at Aiko for this, and whispered. "Do you want him to go with you?"

Zen walked onto the grounds of his family. The teen was meet at the door by his father. "Are you ready to talk sense, boy?" The white haired teen inclined his head. "Yes, father... He followed his father into the house, solemn and watching the floor instead of the older man.

The designer smiled. "Yeah. You've grown a lot in the past four months." He pulled the crossdresser closer and gave him a quick peck on the forehead. "I love you."

"Kyou loves you, too."

Back in part 3, when it was June, Kyou was about a foot shorter than Isamu and a foot-and-a-half shorter than Itsuki. He's only about five inches shorter than Isamu and 10 1/4 inches shorter than Itsuki (Itsuki is older, so he grows at a slower rate than both ninja).

"Don't mention it Gin. I don't like to see my friends hurt. But I am going to need your help." She looked at him as he helped her up, and began to walk. "With?" "I'm going to need a schematic of the home, so I can find a good way in and out. I'm also going to need you to promise that you'll stay in my apartment." She looked away for a moment, but quickly looked back into his eyes. "I can do that, and thank you again." She rubbed his cheek, and kissed it. He glanced down, a slight scarlet color on his cheek. Gin made out like she hadn't noticed it, but she was actually quite happy.

When they reached the apartment, Hidoi went inside to prepare some things, and Gin went to get a copy of the schematics of the Yaite home. When she returned, she rolled it out in front of herself and Hidoi, and watched as he began to examine it, mapping it out in his mind. After a few moments, he spoke. "Ok, here's the plan." He began tracing the schematics with his finger as he spoke.

"I'll enter through here, and travel along the rafters of the house. I'll come out quietly here, and look over some clan documents for background, then I'll go back up into the rafters, and go to Zen's father's room, and stay there until they talk about why he was forbidden to be with you. Once they are finished with the conversation, and leave the room, I'll get out."

She thought over what he had said for a minute, and replied. "You'll need to be careful. All of the men are Shinobi, and because the women aren't, they'll likely scream if they spot an intruder, alerting all of the men." He looked at her eyes, which were full of concern. "Don't worry Gin, I've been trained for this type of work. Nobody will see me, I promise." He stood to leave, and she grabbed his hand. She stood up, and looked into his eyes. "Please Hidoi, be safe."

Gin paced the room, high strung, and not sure what to do. She was having someone she barely knew spy on her best friend, should of been boyfriend. She put her head in her hands while coming down hard in a chair. She was a Jonin da**it, and ANBU on top of that. She shouldn't be breaking down like this. She rubbed at her right shoulder where the tattoo of her unit was hidden under her cloths.

She had a bad idea, but it sounded good for calming her nerves. She looked out the window down at the shop across the street. Saki, it wasn't a good answer, but it should help her... She closed her eyes and made a symbol changing form into a much older appearing woman. She found her ID and placed a genjustu on the card. Then left the room.

When she exited the shop with a small bag she watched a couple pass infront of her. It made her sad as she watched her twin walk down the street with Isamu. The blond was bubbly and laughing like she was enjoying herself. Gin followed them with her eyes, then dashed up to the room again. She dropped the false image as soon as she was behind closed doors. The teen pulled a bottle from the brown bag, and sat the bag down. Then she took a seat, and started drinking the saki, quickly...

____

Zen sat on a pallet before his father, who was looking most pleased. The teen raised his head and looked at the man with a solid stare. "I would like to hear your proposal now." He said while stilling himself for whatever the older Yaite had in mind. It promised to be something Zen wouldn't like, but he doubted his parent had that in consideration. It was really a question of how far his family had his future planned for him.

When it became close to sun down, Hidoi snuck into Yaite territory. He searched around for a few minutes, and watched several sets of guards, observing them so that he could find an opening to get by them on his way out. He found his entrance, and crawled into the main compound. He jumped up into the rafters as soon as he was in, and made his way to the documents room. He jumped down into the room from the ceiling and began to look around. He grabbed whatever he thought would be useful, such as financial records, clan member files, business documents, things of that sort. He put them into a small bag he had brought, and jumped back up into the ceiling.

He crawled around, looking for the Clan Heads room. When he found his way to it, Zen and his father had already been talking for a few minutes. "I'm glad you came to your senses and got rid of that Nibairou brat. She would only bring you down Zen, she is not a proper woman. Especially not for this family." Zen kept his head down, not saying anything. "I have a nice young lady in mind for you boy. She's very pretty, comes from a good family, and acts like a lady should." He continued to look away from his father as his father watched him. "Say something Zen. I feel like I'm carrying on this conversation alone." He looked up to face his father as he spoke. "Whatever you think is best, father." He looked back down again.

"Well, maybe you'll be more enthusiastic when you meet her." He clapped his hands twice, and a servant on the outside slid open a door. A beautiful young woman of about 14 walked into the room. She had long black hair, with beautiful flowers in her hair. She had big, deep brown eyes that only added to her apparent beauty. She wore a beautiful light pink kimono, and held a fan decorated with flowers. "Hello. My name is Hana Heakami." Zen's manners went into action. He stood and walked over to her, and bent on onee knee in a sort of bow. He took her hand and kissed it. "My name is Zen Yaite. I'm honored to be in the presence of such a beautiful woman." He bowed his head as she stood over him, blushing.

Hidoi had seen enough. He slowly and quietly crawled among the rafters away from the room. He crept towards the way he had planned to exit, and waited for the opening that the guards left when they shifted positions, and ran past the different guard points. He quietly crept out of the Yaite territory, and ran towards his apartment to look over the documents for any clues they might hold, and to share what he had witnessed with Gin. When he arrived, he was greeted by a drunken Gin with a kiss on the lips, and a squeeze on the ass.

Gin was pushed back as the startled spy cought the smell of alcohol on her. He looked across the room to where three bottles of Saki had been discarded, and scattered across the table. She was twirling a little and seemed to be lightly singing. The male nin reached out to her, turning her where he could see her eyes clearly. "Ssoo w'at did yooou find?" She slurred while he guided her to a couch. "You drank that much, this quick?"

The woman hung her head over the arm of the couch. "Thiisss muc'?" She started laughing. Hidoi sighed, "At least you're a happy drunk..." He sat down next to her on the couch. "Are you sure you want to know while you're like this?" "Ooff coourse!" The boy sighed again and looked over across her form. A thought passed his mind of how easy it would be to take advantage of the situation, but something about the way she was laughing, so out of her head, turned him off.

"Gin, please, calm down." The laughing stopped and she sat up with a half-lidded stare. "Okay..." He looked at her, she was an on and off switch even drunk. "Zen Yaite is to be engaged to a young woman known as Hana Heakami." The name of the woman made Gin's eyes bug out. "Heakami? The Heakami fam'ly froom the souuthern areaass oof the Ffire couuntry? On' oof the biggest merc'ants in the coountry?" The shock seemed to have sobered her some and curved her slur.

The male ninja nodded slowly. "Yoou ha'e to be kidding! Th'y hate my ffamily..." Gin said as she rolled back across the couch. Hidoi wasn't sure what to do till he heard a light sobbing. "So much for happy drunk..." He murmured, then watched as she rolled off of the couch and went for a bag on the table. Pulling one last bottle of saki from it he saw her throw back her head with the bottle to her mouth.

Hidoi shot across the room and smacked the bottle from her hand. "Don't be a fool! You'll get alcohol poisoning like that! You're a medic for goodness sake!" He grabbed her by the arms making her look at him. She seemed so broken with the way she looked at him, her normally shining silver eyes had gone grey and dull. He shook his head and then scooped her up, going over and laying her out on the couch again. "I'll see about getting some kind of coffee or tea, it'll help sober you."

He started to get up, but the girl grabbed at him. "Juus' let me sleeep it ooff. I doon't le've tiiill to'orrooow afternooon." The light member looked down at her. "Leave?" "Missssion 'eadeed noo'th..." She was starting to drift off, and that was probly best. He strongly wondered if she'd be in her right mind when she woke up.

Kin walked along side Isamu, he'd meet her just before dinner and they were happily browsing shops before going to eat. She was a white and gold vision in the small dress and her hair pulled up. Like a beam of sunlight made real, or at least that's how it was for the ecstatic boy with her. He didn't even get nervious till they were actually seated for dinner when she turned those big golden eyes on him. "So what do you plan to do now my little Inuzuka?" She chimmed at him with a wide smile.

I'm always up all night, it's my normal hours. :p

Well you can test out of academy...

Let one of the characters that's a teacher at the school test him to see if he qualifies as a Genin. Then Kobe would just have to find him a sponcer jonin as his sensei. I don't know who you would want to do either, but you do have another character running around who doesn't have a team.

As the day turned to night Kobe lead his new found family members toward the Hokage's mansion. Like most rogues they were amazed at the immensity and beauty of the village. When they arrived Kobe walked in first. Hiroko immediately started to get on his case, "Where the hell have you been?" Kobe held a finger to his lips staring at her. "Don't shush me-" Ryobi and Codi then walked in and she quickly got the picture but gave him a look that could kill.

"Lady Hiroko meet my father Yamashi Ryobi and my brother Codi." The oldest man walked up to the desk extending a hand, "Its a pleasure to meet you." "Same to you she said standing to accept the hand. Kobe spoke getting straight to the point, "My father would like to purchase a lot here in the village. If you could spare him an empty lot he would gladly do the building." She nodded, "And what kind of lot would you like we have plenty of room." "Oh somewhere nuetral. I have not alligned myself to a family yet. But I want to live here a while so I can choose whether or not I want to." "No problem I'll have someone show you whats available tomorrow."

"Good" , Kobe chimed back in, "Now that thats settle I would like to know if there's an opening in the academy for my brother." The light skinned brother stepped in front of Kobe with a look of determination, "I assure m'lady I am far surpassed as an academy student. There has to be someway to make me genin without going to school." The hokage looked down at the short boy smiling, "Well there is one way but it won't be easy." "Don't worry about that. Just tell me how to do it and it's done." "There's a test that academy students take before becoming genin. But for those who already know the basics the test is made harder. If you pass then they'll put you on a squad with a jonin." "I'll do it." Turning to his brother he stuck his tongue out and grinned.

"Now if thats everything I need to speak with Kobe in private." Hiroko became serious as the two other Yamashis left the room. "Kobe. Please realize something. Undertaking dangerous tasks requires proper authorization. Attacking Kade by yourself was the worst choice you could have made. And taking Gaki on an S-rank mission was just as foolish. He's a chunin. You're not a rogue anymore. Everything you do is judged. You're lucky the elders haven't found out what you've been up to otherwise you wouldn't have got authorization to do the Black Ops mission. From now on you don't make a move unless I know about it. Understood." The black jonin saluted and walked out.

A knock at the door of the house was all it took to give Zen the moment to politely flee the room, even with his father calling after him to let a servant get it. The teen didn't care who it was as he pushed them back from the house and closed the door. The confused jonin looked at the boy with question. He presented an envelope to the white haired ninja and walked away without a word.

Zen looked at the letter and a thrill went thru him. He knew what was inside, but he heard footsteps coming from inside. He ran like his life depended on it. He went the only place he could hope for safety from his family. He didn't even knock when he got there, instead he just went right in, and leaned against the door with a heavy sigh, eyed closed as he took in the silence of the home.

It didn't take but a few moments before he felt something climb up his leg and to his shoulder. The little creature licked his cheek, and the teen raised a hand to pet him, still with his eyes closed. "You look like you just did a mile in a minute." The voice made him smile as he leaned forward off the door. "I kind of-" He felt the hand on his chest too late to stop the motion as those teal eyes refocused on what was infront of him.

The movement and their heights put it perfect. A momentary blush of lips and the white haired teen wished he was back at the house he had ran out of. He watched in worry and shock as Sabra pulled away from him. She raised a surprised hand to her mouth then seemed to shake it off. "That was my fault, I should of realized you'd try to walk toward me when I spoke." Zen felt a moment of absolute relief and disappointment at once, This strange pink haired woman was just as oblivious or more then Kin had ever been when someone was attracted to them.

She reached out and Kuro jumped off Zen's shoulder and ran up to her's . "What's the matter? You look so flushed, like you've been really stressed." She said while rubbing her pet's whiskers. Before Zen could answer he heard another familiar voice, and a reminder of current events. "Sab said you'd be back. How goes it?" Gaki had stepped around from another room, rubbing wet hair with a towel. He looked to have been training considering the scorth marks on his cloths.

Zen nodded to his teammate as he followed his host on to the sitting area. "Gaki just got done for today." The green eyed girl explained while picking up a cup from the low table. The two boys sat opposite eachother. The white haired one looked at his black haired friend. "I envy you." He said as he watched Gaki loop an arm around Sabra. "Why?" "You actually care for your fiancee." The answer made Sabra cough into her cup.

"Fiancee?" Zen nodded, and began explaining. "My father has forceibly engaged me to a woman that could not be farther in personality from the one I want... Worse yet, I fear I may never be able to allow two of my favorite people to come within my home again, and one may never speak to me once she hears the news after I broke up with her." Sabra stood sharply, "You broke up with Gin?"

Gaki pulled his girlfriend back down to her seat and looked to his teammate. "Your father's an as*, but I never thought his threats were real... Who is she?" "Hana Heakami... She would make a fine wife, for anyone but me... I do not think I can stand the thought of a woman like my mother actually being my one, the idea goes against what I believe women capable of."

Sabra and Gak paled at the thought. "There has to be something we can do," Gaki insisted. "You could leave." Both males looked at the kunoichi. "Leave." "Yes... Renounce your name, or just leave the village. If nothing else don't marry her. If you don't love her at least see if your father would let you put someone else in her place, of your choosing." She explained.

Zen looked to Gaki and they gave eachother an understanding smile. "Am I missing something?" They both nodded to her. "Sabra-chan... Our families are not like your's." Zen tried to say, but she leaned across the table toward him. "Your family should want your happiness." Gaki laid a hand on the girl to pull her back. "His family is kind of like mine... Look at what happened to me and my aunt... Tell me they really care about happiness." Sabra stared at the black seal on his forehead. "Sorry..."

She shook her head and raised her hand to her mouth again, this time looking ill. The girl stood swiftly and ran to another room. Zen gave Gaki a look that asked for him. "All afternoon." The ex-hyuuga said as he rose to follow her. Zen went as well. Sabra was leaned over a sink shaking and washing her mouth. She heaved and slumped to the floor. The teal eyed teen looked at Gaki, but he other nin wouldn't meet his gaze. "I don't know..." Was all he whispered before kneeling with a tower next to Sabra. The girl looked up at Zen, "In my room is a bag, can you get the medicine in it?" "Of course..."

It only took a moment to find what he was looking for. The young man turned the packets over, looking for labels, and only finding one. He saw the handwritting on the perscription. He paled and put together what his friend had not. "Gin... Dam**t woman that's not your business." He hissed even as he took the medicine to his friend, forcing a smile.

He beckoned Gaki out of the room, and spoke with him in a hush in the hall. "She wouldn't..." "She would, and you know it." Gaki hit the wall as a small rush of anger overtook his sensabilities. Sabra leaned around the corned looking concerned. "Something wrong?" "No!" Both men answered. The woman didn't know what to make of that, but didn't press the issue as she disappeared into the bathroom again.

Gaki rolled those near white eyes up at his friend. "My cousin is a b**ch, I do not understand how you could love her." "I don't approve of it, but it's best not to tell Sabra... Yes, Gin is a b**ch, but you would have to know her better to understand my reasons." Zen explained while laying a hand on his friend's arm. "I'm sorry..." "Don't be, my own stupid fault." "True." The ex-hyuuga gave him a glare, but then actually relaxed. "I hate you." "Mutural." The two laughed, they had a relationship few could share.

((Going with the idea of Kobe being Aiko's mom's brother, I actually thought of an explanation. There is the wood style kekkei genkai and then there's aigan. Maybe a person can carry on two kekkei genkai to pass on to the next generation, but only use one. Then, since aigan only shows up in women of the bloodline, Aiko's mom can use aigan and passed it on to Aiko, but neither of them can use wood style. However, since Kobe is male and thus cannot use aigan, he is able to use wood style. Make sense?))

After Gigen had left Aiko and Gaki, he ran towards the Village Center. For hours, all he did was walk around, trying to figure out what he had done, if he had, in fact, done something. He came to a small tea shop and went in. Tea always calmed his nerves. He sat down and ordered not a cup, but a whole pot. He planned to stay there drinking tea for awhile.

____________

Chinsei, Akemi and Shisui had spent the whole day together. After finishing breakfast and cleaning up, they had gone out. First they went to see a new movie that had just come out, then they had gone for lunch. Akemi had run up the bill again. They couldn't blame her though, nor would they want to. She was pregnant after all, she couldn't help it, and if they had said something, they'd have been sleeping outside that night. After that, they went around the Village to different shops looking at the handy work of the Village artisans. They didn't purchase much of anything, but they had fun admiring the different creations.

At the end of the day, they returned to the house, and sat around talking. They knew they were going to have a big day tomorrow. Hiroko had sent notices to several Jonin, telling them to report to the mansion tomorrow morning. They didn't know it, but there was something urgent that needed to be taken care of. As for Akemi, she had a doctors appointment for a check up. She had to go every month or so because of the pregnancy.

There were about 12 or so books on the table, and he was determined to read all of them.

They could also carry the genes for both traits, but only show one or the other. Sense both seem to be primarily dominate genes there's dozens of ways that such a combination could happen. It's even possible that a new gene based ability could be produced from the pairing. Now you're going to make me have to actually do the calculations on that or I won't stop thinking about it.

The two boys continued talking about possible solutions to the problem at hand, but their attention kept going to Sabra, who seemed to be getting worse. "How bad is this going to get?" Gaki asked when she went to try to sleep. Zen gave him a very solemn responce. "I don't know, it could get really serious... Stay with her." The white haired teen stood, Gaki didn't need to ask. "I'll find Gin, and even if she's mad at me, she'll come for Sabra."

That had been the idea at least. He thought it'd be easy to find her, she didn't have many places she'd go. Finally the archer had done something he didn't think he'd need to. He went to the Nibairou house and let Deki out. The female half-wolf was Gin's, and had become a great tracking animal. The simple command to find her master was all she needed to tear down the streets, kicking up dust in her wake.

The pet lead him to an apartment complex. Zen had no idea who here might know his ex, but it was better then nothing. Asking at the front desk about a woman of Gin's description he managed to convience the information out of the attendant. That lead him to a room that when he knocked a person answered who he did not recognize. "Is a Miss Nibairou here?" The young man started to close the door in his face, but Zen held it. "She's needed as a medic, this is serious." The other nin stood back from the door and pointed toward a couch.

Zen came around taking in the situation like you would something that could be dangerious. He knelt by the couch and shook the woman on it. "Gin... Gin wake up. Gin!" The woman rolled her head toward him, her big silver eyes didn't focus on him, then she turned away. "Wake up! One of your friends needs you, and it's your fault!" The force with which he said it made the woman sit up and shake her head, then she looked at him.

"I have nothing to say to you." "This isn't about me, it's about Sabra." Gin's expression shifted, then she looked around the room, her gaze landing on Hidoi. "How much did I drink?" "More then you should of." "That's a given..." "Three, a bit more." The medic cursed as she held her head. She spoke while not looking at either one. "I guess you figured out what happened then." "I did." Zen stood as he answered.

"It's for the best." "It wasn't your choice." "Do you really think she needed a child?" "No, but you could have asked first. At least then she'd know why she's so sick now. Sabra trusts you! How could you do this to her?" The medic glared up at him. "I did what I thought was right." "That doesn't answer me you cold b**ch, being this reckless with yourself is one thing, but doing this to someone who doesn't even know what's going on is just playing god!" She stood and meet his gaze. "I am not playing god, I'm just not honorable to a fault, like you are!"

She pushed him back, but the motion caused her to stumble a bit, still reeling from so much alcohol. The archer cought her by the shoulders. "This isn't going to get us anywhere." He told her. "Yeah, we're not going anywhere at all. esspecially with you engaged to a Heakami." She said the name like it was an insult as she steadied herself, and pulled away from his hands. "How do you know about that?" "I just do... Now get out! I'll go to Sabra as soon as I'm cleaned up." "She's at the second house." Zen turned his back on her, and gave Hidoi a glare as he left the room.

Once he was outside he sat down on the steps of the building with his head in his hands. "What have I done? I shouldn't of yelled like that... Now she'll really never want to see me again." He looked up when Deki licked at the side of his face. He rubbed a hand against the mutt's silver and white fur. "I'll leave you here girl, your owner will be out here soon." She barked at him and wagged her tail. He stood, and started to walk away, he wasn't sure where he'd go. He couldn't return to Sabra's home yet, not if Gin was headed there.

Gin let herself fall back on the couch, and Hidoi came to her side. "What was that about?" "I did something that I'm probly right to be cussed at for." She rubbed at her face. "It was a betrail of trust, against the law, and dangerious... I have to go." She stood, but fell back to the cusions, not quite steady. "Can you even tend someone medically like this?" "I have to... If she's as bad off as he said then the misscarriage I tried to cause is going badly, and she might need a full hospital." The male ninja looked at her like he had never seen the woman before.

"You would do such a thing... Without consent?" Gin nodded very slowly. "I understand if you condemn me, I deserve it, but at least help me get to her... I'm ganna go wash my face and such, would you be willing to take me to the place I ask you to?" She asked while looking down at him, finally standing steady. "Just drop me at the door, there's no reason for you to get involved. I'm sure I'll be answering to an angry cousin once I'm there, but he won't hurt me... Not when she needs my help at least, I might pay for it afterward..." She trailed off her mind unfocused.

"So what do you plan to do now my little Inuzuka?"

Isamu's voice shook slightly as he answered. "Um...Well...Depends on w-what you mean by that question. Do you mean my current plans, or my plans for this moment?"

"Either way is fine," Kin told him.

"Well...I think I'm going to use less rock-based jutsu. I'm gonna try to pick up a more Inuzuka-like fighting style, if I can." He smiled and looked into her eyes. "But right now, I just want to spend time with you. As much as I can." He placed a hand on her cheek and began rubbing gentle circles with his thumb. "You are really beautiful. You know that, right?"

---------

Haruna untied and retied her ponytail. She wasn't exactly sure what to do right now. There was nothing for her to do until time for the mission. But something kept nagging at the back of her head. Something wasn't right.

'I'm imagining things,' she told herself. 'Nothing's wrong. Atleast for life. Life in general is just at it's normal level of how wrong things are. Nothing out of the ordinary. Don't stress out.'

She sighed, removing the mask that covered her stoic expression. The onyx-haired ANBU turned on the tap and cupped her hands under the crisp running water. She splashed it onto her face.

When she looked back up to the mirror, though, it was not her face. Not exactly. It was too masculine to be hers and the eyes were a deep crimson that almost looked black. The psychic's daughter gasped. She placed both hands over her face and held them there. When she looked back, her reflection was normal.

She sighed in relief, placing a hand over her chest. Her heartrate gradually returned to normal.

'I need to get some air.'

He didn't miss a beat, it was like he expected that answer. The girl glanced away, she was not used to being the center of attention, it was new to her.

She tried to change the subject. "If you're going to try and learn their fighting style I may be in trouble, you're already a handful in a duel." The movement on her cheek stopped, and it made her look at him again. "Why do you make it so hard to compliment you?" It was a very direct question, more then she'd been prepared for. "I guess I just don't know how to handle one." Her blush was still holding, it made her look innocent, and somehow more childish then normal.

Hidoi lifted Gin onto his back when she had come back from the bathroom, and grabbed some of her things. He walked outside, and closed and locked the door to the apartment. "Where to?" "Go down towards the left, and after two alleyways, cut down the one on the right." He took off, and he passed both alleyways. When he came to one on his right side after those 2, he ran down it. "Now keep going straight down the alley, and when you come to the wall, run up it mid way, and jump off and onto the building on the left."

He sped at the wall, using Chakra to attach himself. When he reached halfway, he jumped off, and on to the roof of the building on the left. "Now turn to your left, and run straight until I tell you to stop." He took off, and ran for about 10 minutes. Gin finally tapped his shoulder. "Right here." He put her down, and she took his hand, trying to steady herself. "Thank you....for everything." She kissed his cheek, and stumbled a little bit. She walked into the house, and left Hidoi there. He jumped up onto the roof, and stayed there, in case something were to happen.

Well I at least know who she's supposed to look like, I just can't say it.

Outside Hidoi heard just a few words of the conversation inside, mostly the raised voice of a male who he didn't recognize. The house went quiet after a while. He rested back against the roof. His mind wondered, not sure what to make of the woman, or if he even cared. He was surprised when in a few moments he rolled to his side and came face to muzzle with a white furred robent with big blue eyes.

Aoi sat up looking at the human on his master's roof. This person wasn't one of her friends, and the little ferret was considering raising an alarm. "How did you get there without me noticing?" Hidoi asked the little creature. Aoi tilted his head to the side and licked the teen's nose. He went back down on all fours and made a chittering sound toward the back of the roof. As second black furred and red eyed creature approached. Kuro made a hissing sound to his littermate, then looked up at the young man on the roof with them, whiskers twitching.

Kuro and Aoi had no intention of leaving the youth alone up there. They sniffed at him curiously for several minutes, making circles like he was some big new toy to play with. Then moved on to hair pulling and harassment. The teen swatted at them like he would any kind of pest, but they would keep coming back every few minutes. He finally sat up and glared at the little beats. "What?" The two twitched whiskers at him, then scurried away into the shadows of the night.

Hidoi laid back down thinking he was finally rid of them. He let his eyes close while he thought. A heavy breath brushed against his hair and the boy sat up abruptly again, turning he went pale as he looked at something he really was not prepared for. There sat the two ferrets, but not on the roof, rather on the large head of an interested looking red and black tiger that huffed at him. The large feline had approached with no sound, and was only inches away.

Slowly it took a step toward him, and the teen slid across the roof a bit. The ferrets didn't seem bothered, and he'd thought for sure they belonged here. If they were friends with the tiger and it belonged here too, he might be about to find out what the Kusabana's used for household security. The big cat's yellow and orange eyes looked at him like he was some kind of curious bird or something equally edible, it was just creepy.

He watched the tiger as it moved towards him, and he reached a hand to one of his scrolls, in case he needed to fight. The two ferrets looked at each other, and then down at the tiger. They chittered at each other, and to the tiger. The tiger sat down, and simply watched Hidoi. He kept his hand on his scroll regardless. It was kind of intimidating to have a 500 lb cat watch you like a mouse.

The big feline's tail flicked back and forth as she stared at the teen. He really did not like that look, something about feeling very small in contrast to the beast. Aoi and Kuro laid down on the bigger animal's head, and were twitching whispers at him in a way that seemed strangely similar to children sticking their tongues out. The boy gave the two ferrets a solid glare, but didn't dare to move again.

A light very gentle seeming voice called from next to the house. "Myou. Myou come out, I have your dinner!" The tiger looked over it's shoulder and came to it's feet. The big female eyed the teen one last time before leaping off the roof in a mighty bound, it was strange that he barely heard it land. The teen leaned over the side and spotted a cute woman with short cupped brown hair and chocolately toned eyes, holding a large bowl full of what he guessed was fish by the scales he could see.

He watched the girl stand before the tiger like she'd seen it dozens of times, no fear, not the least unnerved. The young woman sat the bowl down and he watched as Aoi and Kuro lept at her, climbing to her shoulders. This was the strangest person, not a single weapon from what he saw, yet not unsettled by an animal like a tiger. That took guts, even if the beast was trained.

As she passed out of veiw he watched the tiger again. Myou seemed to be far more interested in the bowl then him, but after pulling a slab of fish from it he watched the animal turn toward him as it threw that giant head back and enveloped the fish in a single chomp. Sending a very clear message as to where he stood in the world the tiger continued to watch him from the ground. The teen really was beginning to think Gin could make it home without him if this thing hung around.

It's a little difficult for me too, but I did it for a reason. Drawing a clearer line between the twins. I'm thinking about working on some pics I've collected tonight, they may help you see her better, and the others too. :)

For some reason when they had the same hair color I always thought of Kin acting way more younger and have a more yelllowish hair color. A Gin acting more older and mature and haveing a slightly lighter color, not brighter and not as blond as Ino's some where in bettween.

That's actually quite accurate. They were supposed to look very much alike, but with subtle differences. Slightly different shades of blond, the eyes, and their actions. When they first started out their eyes were supposed to be the only real difference, but they gravitated apart. I finally had the change in color and styles as a slight foreshadowing of things to come.

She is that shady, she's always been one of the darker characters. I really did not expect people to like her as much as they seem to. I had planned for everyone to like Kin, but not so much her twin. You know a kind of dark versus light thing.

I can't deny that one. She plays the role of that one person in every story you know isn't exactly good, but you're never sure they're bad either. She tries to be detached from everyone, but she's driven by emotion. She's an anti-hero if you know the term.

Yes I am! By the colors of cyan and color number ff2299 I can read people's character's minds!
Oh and isn't an anti-hero a person who is a baddish guy who saves the day then sinks back to the side lines not takeing any credit for what they did and forgetting about it sorta.

Isamu held her gaze. "I would think someone as smart, talented, and beautiful as you would be used to it by now."

Kin blushed darker. "But my sister--"

"Where do you want to go after this?" She asked as their food arrived and he pulled his hand away.

:pHello? *echoes* This place is empty and deserted!

I think we've just spoiled you. I was gone far longer then anticipated...

Kin smiled at him. "Yeah, I do. I'm actually good at it..." She giggled, "Gin can't dance at all, it's funny." Isamu smiled at her, he liked the sound of her laughter. The two ate quite quickly, making small talk. Then they headed out in search of a place to dance. It wasn't like Konoha boosted such places. They ended up on the outskirts of town, listening to the hum of crickets and the trickle of a stream.

The blond slipped her shoes off and headed for the stream. Isamu reached out to her, holding her wrist. "You're wearing white..." He said with a light blush. "Oh!" She giggled at him. "A little gentlemen at heart." She smiled down at him. "Tonight's been so much fun." The boy agreed, but searched her face for something. She raised her eyebrows at him. "What is it?"

"Could you close your eyes?" The golden eyed girl let her eyelids fall without question. A hand came to her chin and tilted her head up, that wasn't right, he was shorter then her. The warmth of another mouth covered her's. Kin's eyes flew open to find him standing just a couple inchs above her. The blond let the kiss continue, but used her chakra to figure out what he'd done.

She'd of smiled if she could without pulling back. The small hill of earth he'd formed was an inventive way to get above her. When they finally broke the girl giggled again. "You're a charmer aren't you?" "I'm trying." "It's working." Isamue grinned at her. "Really?" "Yes." He was thrilled, she was really enjoying this. "Can I ask you something?" He would be brave enough, he told himself. "Of course." "Would you go out with me again sometime?" She laughed, and hugged him. "Yes."

He took her home shortly after that. The girl came into her room to find someone she didn't expect sitting next to Gin's lab. The white haired teen was reading one of the medic's notebooks. The blond blinked at him when he looked to her. "You look like you had a good night." He said before returning to his book. "I did, Isamu took me on a date." That pulled his teal eyes back to her. "Isamu?" "Yeah, it was great. Are you waiting for my sister, Zen?" The tall teen came to his feet, laying the notes down.

"No... She'd probly hurt me if she found me here... I just did not want to go home..." He stepped toward Kin, his hand went to her hair with a slight look of sadness in his eyes. "When did you do this?" "Last night." He ruffled the shining locks. "It looks cute." He finally said while pulling away. "I should go. I'm sorry, I interrupted your night."

The twin stepped back, blocking his exit. "You're not getting out of here that easy. I've never seen you this torn up about something, and you're going to explain." Kin watched a smile actually turn his lips before the sadness set in again. "Do you have a while?" "Of course." He went to sit down again, and she followed suit.

He told her everything, from his perspective. The girl kept her emotions to herself till he finished. "You're engaged?" He nodded, his head falling into his hands. "I cannot tell my father no, without having someone to replace the girl with that he finds acceptable... I would have asked Sabra to pretend long enough to give me some time, but I can't ask her to when Gaki's finally asked for her hand in marriage... I do not know anyone else who would be willing to help me." He was solemn, as defeated as she'd ever seen him.

"Oh, Zen..." She sighed and had to think about the situation. "Go to my sister, she'll forgive you, and your father can just live with it." "I can't do that." "Why not?" "I'm the oldest son, if I do not marry an acceptable woman it's worthy of disowning me... I'm afraid I'm not that brave..." His eyes were on her, and the girl felt a pain in her heart for him. They looked hollow, he'd given up.

"Does your family mean that much to you?" The question shook him, and Kin couldn't believe she'd said it. "Why wouldn't they?" The blond pressed on. "They don't know you, they only care for What you are to them, not Who you are." The young man shook his head. "I am what I am... I've always been the good son, the one that would inherit." He reached into a pocket and handed her a folded letter. She opened it, and her eyes lit up.

"You made Jonin!" "It's what was expected of me..." His words didn't match the happiness he should of felt. "Isn't that good?" "No... If I'd not made Jonin then my father might reconsider who is to inherit the position of head of the family." "Oh..." Kin looked to him with mischief. "So lie. Tell him you failed. It might buy you some time." The male rolled that around in his head. "You make a good point... He hasn't seen the letter yet... It might be enough to keep him from forcing the marriage, long enough for me to figure something out."

Zen stood again, and went to her. He leaned over and kissed her forehead. For the first time sense she could remember it didn't send a thrill up her spine when he did. Had she finally gotten over him? She hoped so. She walked him to the door, he was much more confident now. "Thank you, Kin, you are a wonderful friend, and an amazing woman. Isamu is lucky." He bowed to her swiftly as a light blush colored her cheeks. She went back to her room, thinking about her evening. It was a fun night, she hoped there'd be more like it, just minus coming home to anyone as upset as Zen had been. She looked down at her hand to find the letter still there. "Opps... Oh well." She threw it over onto a night stand. It didn't matter who had it, not really at least.

There now, shush up about us taking so long.

Morning came with most still tired, Gin included. She'd finally been taken back home just before dawn. She'd been surprised to find Hidoi had waited for her, but it'd been a pleasant surprize. She owed him something in return, but it would have to wait. Now she stretched out on her bed, alarm waking her after least then three hours. "Kin, if you don't shut that off, I'll break it." She warned burying her head under some pillows.

He hand reached out slapping for the alarm. Her sibling didn't seem to be in hearing distance. She sat up and smacked the offending machine away from the nightstand. As it fell her eyes focused on the stand, and a letter there with the Hokage's seal. She picked it up and skimmed it. Her brows came together as she reread it. Her sister came in, and the grey haired girl looked at her in question. "When was he here?" She demanded.

Kin's gaze went from the paper to her sister's face. "Last night... I think he really hoped to see you." The other twin threw the letter down and sunk back into her bed, covering her head. "Tell him next time to just screw off! I want nothing to do with him, anymore!" The blond picked up the damaged paper, tucking it into her vest. "Don't be like that. You might not know everything."

Gin glared at her from under the blankets, somehow resembling a p***ed off cat. "I know enough..." She hissed, and cacooned into the sheets. Kin knew there was no talking to her right now, and gathered the last of her things for the academy. "You have a mission today, right?" "Yes..." "Becareful, Gin, I don't wanna loose you." The silver eyed girl sighed. "I always am, sissy..." She had another couple of hours to sleep, so she took the oppertunity. The afternoon would come soon enough, and then she, Haruna, Chinsei, and two other ANBU would leave for the north. It was sleep now, or weight down her team later. She voted for the now.

Zen sat tense, and struggling to hold his temper as he attempted to carve. He might have welcomed the distraction had it been someone else, but none that he would have prefered would be doing this. Skilled hands pulled at his hair, caressing it with a touch of envy, but mostly facination. "Do you think our kids will have this beautiful hair?" The suddenness of the question made his hand slip, cutting the wood in half with the well sharpened knief.

The white haired young man looked behind him at Hana as she stroked his locks. "Probly... It's a family trait, like our eyes..." He said while watching her thread a flower into his hair. It was taking alot to stay still, this was not the most manly thing he'd ever experienced. Yes, his sisters had subjected him to all manner of mortifying things as a child with as 'pretty' as they found him to be, but he was a man now... It was not right to be made to allow her to put pink and purple wildflowers all thru his hair. This was no child's game of dress-up, and he hated it.

He turned back to his carving, seeing the two pieces remaining. He raised the larger of the two, trying to think of something to make with it now, but a tug at his hair pulled his attention again. "Zen, when do you think we'll make the announcement? The rest of our family doesn't know yet." The boy ground his teeth. "Our family?" He said, as even as he could. "Yes, of course silly. Our family, after all it won't be long till I'm a part of your's and you a part of mine." Her sing-song tone, and soft voice he was sure would be conforting to some, just not him, at least yet.

Maybe he could learn to love this woman, but so far she'd reminded him why he was attracted to the women he was already... They weren't like those in his family, and Hana was a perfect fit to the Yaite brood. All she talked about was their future together. He was begining to wonder if she was breed to be married off, or if this was some weird test of his temperment. He tried to stand. but her hands netted in his hair held him down. "Now, Zen, where do you think you're going? None of that non-sense ninja business that kept you out all night again, right?"

He was going to seriously loose part of his sanity if he didn't hurt her first. "Of course... Dear." He said, pulling free, leaving a few strands of white still clenched in her fingers. He dashed for the house, hoping for sanctuary. Dragging his hand thru his hair as he did to free the flowers from it. He smelled like a walking garden, which was not helping his image of personal manhood. What was his father thinking? Yes, he knew the women of his clan were push overs, but this was just rediculas.

He heard her footsteps as he was in his room changing out of the flowery scented shirt. "Zen! Can I come in?" She opened the door before waiting for a responce. The boy swiftly put his back to her. "Did they not teach you manners?" He asked sharply leaving the last of his buttons undone as he went for the other door to the room. A thin pair of hands grabbed his shoulders as he heard a weight hit his bed. She pulled him back, pressing against him and nuzzling his hair. "Of course they did... Maybe I just wanted to see something not so formal." She whispered in his ear as one hand went up under his shirt, and the other down his collar.

Teal eyes went wide, and Hana found herself on the floor before she could react. He stood over her, holding one arm and with a fury in his features. "You will not touch me as such." The low hiss was enough to make her shudder. "I didn't mean to upset you!" His anger relented as he saw tears well up in her eyes. "For the love of Kami don't you cry." He told her while releasing her hand. The girl sat up, looking at him with big eyes and a pouty mouth. Zen's cold eyes rolled over her. "You need a better puppy look... I have many sisters, and many female friends. I've built up resistance." He said while walking out.

Her hands found his arm as he was about to turn the door. "Zen, please don't leave." She pleaded with him. "I'm going to town, now release me." Hana looked up at him with sudden joy. "I'll go with you!" She insisted, brushing past him with a giggle. "I just need my hat!" She called down the hall as she went for her own room. The white haired teen looked up at the ceiling. "What did I do to deserve this?" He questioned in the empty hall.

Haruna sheathed her katana and slung it over her shoulder. She needed to head out for the rendez-vous point for the mission. A normal ninja's heart would be pounding in their ears after learning where their mission would take them. But since when is an ANBU member a normal ninja?

The kunoichi grabbed an apple and bolted out the door. She was only running for a few minutes when she realized someone was following her. She took two kunai from her leg pouch and threw them down. Two figures jumped out of the way barely in time to dodge them.

"Damn, I thought that b!tch told us that no one would be able to detect us!!!" Daisuke continued to curse under his breath.

"How did you know we were follwing you?" Suki asked.

"Hn," the strategist replied.

"Oh please, you can tell us, can't you?" The young girl batted an eyelash.

Haruna shot off, too fast for their untrained eyes and in a zig-zagged pattern so even if they could, they wouldn't know where she was headed.

"Damn it," Suki hissed.

Suki is, again, a charmer. She gets p!ssed when she can't influence a person and bend them to her will because it's a very rare occurance that she can't.

GIN AND ZEN ARE SOUL MATES AND BELONG TOGETHER!!!

Okay, down girl! That was hilarious to read, but easy now. I have plans...

The sun was getting high and soon it would be afternoon. Gin drug herself from the bed. She fished into a drawer and drew a pair of pills, swollowing them quickly. She had to get ready. She looked over at her lab, it was tempting to take it with her, it would only take a scroll and a few minutes... But it wasn't in the mission for her to spend days studying her target. They were to observe and potentially capture it, and she wouldn't need her lab for that, she hoped.

Still she drew a few vials from a stand, full of white liquid. The only drug that could put Chinsei out now, and she was sure the only way they'd ever make the beast sleep, if they had to. She was traveling as light as she could with winter cloths. She was okay with cold, but she was definately taking a big plushy coat to sleep in. Her normal ANBU outfit was not as warm as her older vest so she switched the two grey vests, the other's could say it was against protocal if they wanted, she didn't care.

____

Zen walked quickly, trying to stay ahead of this girl. She persisted in holding his arm, and that made him feel vulnerable. He looked ahead of them, the academy was nearby. Perhaps the few students that had taken interest in his archery style would help him. He went for it, it was better then nothing. Hana giggled as she watched the children outside.

A small dark haired girl ran to them. Her midnight blue locks pulled back in a braid like Zen usually wore his. "Master! Please, come show me the apple trick again!" She begged while taking his hand. Hana released him for the first time sense they'd left the house. A small flock of children followed the two. Zen patted the girl's head. "Thank you Mayie." "For what?" He smiled at her, "You wouldn't understand." He pulled out a scroll and drew a bow from it. He was preparing to fire as the girl grabbed a piece of fruit and threw it. This was a favorite game of the kids who liked him. They would all find something for him to shoot at then throw, and see if he missed.

Kin stood at the door of the academy watching the scene. She looked over at the woman that had been with Zen. She looked pretty enough, all chocolate colored eyes and hair with pale skin, classical. The blond felt a hand on her side. "Something wrong?" Isamu asked as he scanned the scene. "Only if you care about Zen and my sister." The Inuzuka looked up at her. "I do." Kin blinked at him. "You do?" "Yes, he helped me, and your sister may be cold but she's a friend too." "Oh..." Isamu looked over at Hana, not knowing who she was. "Who's that?" "His fiancee, sadly..."

A red head leaned around from a branch to look at the woman that was on the school grounds. His blue eyes scanned her, and followed her look to his teammate and the children. He dropped down and approached the woman. "He's good with them." She said, mostly to herself. "Yes, he is good with kids. Better then me, and I work here." His words made the woman look at him like he'd materialize from nothing.

She jerked away a little. "Who are you?" The teen tilted his head, she was acting strange, you'd think she didn't know how to deal with ninja, they all moved very quietly. "Sasoku, ma'am. I am on the same squad as Zen-san." He said, trying to be formal, as judging from her cloths she was from a higher up family. "San? How dear you speak of one so nobel with less then Sama." She huffed at Sasoku, making the teen take a subconcious step backward. "You are one high strung woman, aren't you."

Hana looked at him, about to insult when a falling bolt came close to her. It stalled in midair, held just inches from her feet. The woman was startled and pushed away as it levitated up. Sasoku used his technique to bring the arrow and fruit to his hand. He offered it to her. "Don't be so uppidy, I could of let this hit you. Even Zen isn't perfect, and he's used to people being smart enough to notice and move out of the way of an incoming shot." The red head put the arrow and piece of food in her hands, and turned his back on her.

He stalked to the same doorway his fellow chunin were in. "She's obsessed... And an idiot." He said as he looked to his friend. "He deserves better." The blue eyed teen pushed past the couple into the building, he'd seen enough. Kin had told him what was going on, he'd had to meet the woman for himself, he was not impressed. He headed to the library in the school, maybe there was a way to help Zen. The teacher wasn't afraid to use his position to help either. As he came into the library he gave a pair of his students an 'extra credit' assignment to help him find every book there about clan laws or Yaite history, there was power in knowledge.

____

Gin found her way to where the team was to meet. Haruna was waiting as were the other two ANBU, but Chinsei was missing still. The girl's greeted eachother will little more then a nod. The grey haired one sat down, hanging her head. Alcohol, an emergency all night call, little sleep, she couldn't feel good if she tried. Still she had energy from the pills she'd taken, and had more on her if needed.

Haruna sat beside her. They didn't say anything, but the psychic's daughter didn't need her father's talent to know something was wrong. Gin didn't act so out of it for no reason, it was a bad sign. If she was off, then that ment the team was off too. At least they'd have a day of travel before getting to the north lands, and another day to the mountians. Maybe by then she'd be fit to fight if needed.

____

Gaki stood with his back to the wall. Medo had been in the room with Sabra for a while. Long enough for him to tell her mother and his jonin that she'd be staying at the second house a while. The two had eyed the teen like they didn't fully trust him there with the girl, but hadn't said no. They didn't know the events of the past evening, and Medo was sworn not to tell either. He shook his head, this was such a mess, and all his fault.

At least he was going to take the blame. Kobe had warned him, he'd just been a fool. Now she was recovering, with no side-affects, at least none physical. How she felt was another thing. "So stupid..." He murmured to himself while stepping away, he had to leave, for a little while. He couldn't stay here and hear her cry if she did. She didn't last night, but sometimes that doesn't mean anything. She was okay, Gin had promised him she'd be fine, but he was angry at the medic. He wanted to have a word with her.

____

Chinsei had finally shown up, at about the same time that Gaki found them. The dark haired teen was headed toward Gin, and she knew way. She stood up and looked at her master. "Chinsei, I think Gaki has something he needs to tell you. He finally popped the question to our cherry haired teammate." The medic watched in amusement as the jonin rounded on the ex-hyuuga, with something not happy in his expression.

The medic used the distraction to look to the team and make motions for them to head out. She wasn't hanging around to be yelled at, that would just be asking for a fight, because she wouldn't bend on this. Gaki pointed Chinsei toward his departing team with a quick hand. The jonin gave the boy a warning that he'd have a word with him when they got back. The teen breathed a sigh as he watched Chinsei leave.

Giggling brought his attention to his side. Akemi stood beside him, he wasn't sure when she'd gotten there, but she was still a ninja. "My prediction was right then? I'm happy for you, Gaki." She chimed as she patted him on the back. "Prediction?" "Yes, Sabra came to me wanting her Love line read. I knew you were going to ask soon. You two are so good together." Gaki smiled at the psychic. "Thank you, Akemi, that means alot."

This takes place that morning, before the team meet up.

Chinsei had awoken to find Akemi nestled in his arms. After last night's "festivities" they had stayed awake talking about the next day. Chinsei was assigned a mission, and would be gone for a few days at least, and Akemi had a doctors appointment. After talking about different things, like baby names, how it might look, what gender it would be, etc, they had fallen asleep.

"Breakfast? We have a little time before we need to head out. It's only 10 in the morning, I don't think you need to leave until noon, and my appointment isn't until 12:30." "Well, if you make something quick while I get ready, I can sit down with you for a bit." He kissed her forehead and got out of the bed. He wasn't wearing anything except a pair of boxers, and Akemi whistled at him. He threw a sheet at her head and laughed at her while she tried to find a way out of it.

He went into the room they had where they kept all of their tools. He started with getting dressed. He put on his black, almost form fitting shirt that went to the elbows first. Then he grabbed a pair of long white cargo shorts. He grabbed for his weapon holders, putting two shuriken holsters on each leg, and three weapon pouches on his back.

He put shuriken, naturally, into the shuriken holsters, and put as may kunai and paper bombs into the pouch on his left side, and as many kunai and wire into the pouch on his right side as he could fit. He also put several scrolls into the middle one, along with food pills, and other supplements. He reached for his white vest, and put it on over his shirt, and put several different supplies into the small compartments that it had.

He then put on white ankle socks, and black high top sneakers. He was one of several ninja who didn't wear the normal sandals. He put additional supplies into the pockets and compartments of his shorts. He reached for his headband and tied it around his head. He grabbed his mission bag, that he always had ready with food, a sleeping bag, and other things.

Akemi came in holding his crescent moon necklace out to him. "I'm not taking that, I don't want something happening to it." He tried to smile warmly at her, but she still couldn't help but feel nervous. They walked out into the kitchen to find that Shisui had already begun eating. They looked at him, a bit irritated that he had started without them. "What? I was hungry!"

After the group had finished breakfast, it was about 11:30. Chinsei waited for the two of them to get ready, and he went for his bag. When they were ready to go, they walked out of the house. Chinsei walked with Shisui and Akemi to the doctors office, he didn't care if it made him late. "Shisui, I want you to stay with her at all times while I'm gone. Take care of her for me." Shisui nodded at his friend, and held a hand out. Chinsei took it and shook, but pulled his friend in for a hug.

He turned to Akemi next. "I shouldn't be gone long, it's just supposed to be a scout and observe mission. It'll probably only take a week, if that. I'll be back soon, don't worry." She looked at him, surprised he had been able to tell. "How did you--?" "If I couldn't tell what you're thinking and feeling, I'd be in trouble on a daily basis, and this relationship probably wouldn't last too long." He hugged her tightly for a few minutes, telling her to take it easy, to let Shisui take care of her, etc.

As he pulled away, she pulled him in for a kiss. Shisui stood there watching for what seemed like forever. "Ahem, Chinsei...Akemi?" They broke the kiss, and Chinsei was slightly blushing. "Right. Well, I'm gonna go. Good luck, take care of that kid." He walked off towards the rendezvous point for the squad. They still hadn't been told who was leading the mission, but he was sure he would be told when he got there.

______________

Gigen woke up in a small alley next to the shop he had been in last night. He had slipped some alcohol into the last pot of tea he had had, and got smashed. He got up, and brushed himself off. He smelt something disgusting, and had thought maybe it had been the trash, but he looked around, and there was none. He smelt himself, and it was him giving off the stench. He couldn't help but wonder what had caused him to smell so badly as he jumped up onto the roof, and began to run home.

______________

Konomashii had spent most of his day at the library, but when it came time to close, the librarian had made him leave. She had at least been kind enough to let him check out the books he hadn't finished, he even checked out the books he had finished, as well as several others he had found on his way out. He had stayed up all night reading about different types of ninja, different types of jutsu, etc. He thought about what Hidoi had said to him that night constantly as he read.

______________

After Hidoi had dropped Gin off at her home, he had gone back to his apartment. He went over to drawer where he had kept the Yaite documents he had "borrowed", and began to look over them. Most of what he read was basic things, like clan finances, wills, things like that. He had been looking over the documents for several hours, and at about 3 in the morning, he found something that might be able to answer some of, if not all, of Gin's questions.

Are you practicing your length Nick? That makes another decent size one.

Chinsei called after Gin as the team moved. "Who's leading this?" He questioned, coming up to travel next to her. "Aka, the one with the read hair. She's leading, I'm second in command because I know the most about our target. She's a information specialist, so she desides how the team moves." Her sensei nodded, "And the other one?" "Just call him Blue, you'll see why when you get a good look at his eyes."

The medic looked to the side moving her head for Haruna to come closer. She passed the other woman a small vial. "If something happens to me this is usable on the target." Gin explained, not specifying the properties of the item. Chinsei watched the exchange with a curious look. "That looks like the medicine you used on me before..." "That's because it is." The silver eyed girl said, not meeting his gaze as she continued to run.

____

Gaki sighed as he walked around the town, it was going to be a long day. He headed toward Kobe's house, maybe the older man would have advice for him. Kea and Aiko might be there too, maybe they could share a woman's perspective... Then again he didn't want to explain everything to any of them. Which left him wandering aimlessly around Konoha with no real goal in mind.

____

Sasoku was using his position to help himself again. After the recess was over he had assigned all the students in his class to do a report on the clans in the village, assigning his best researchers to the Yaite, and another good group to general clan laws. They had two days to finish the reports for him, and he figured that was the fastest way to find the information he was trying to find. There were several groups, not all working for his pet task, but maybe one of the others would turn up something equally useful, he could hope.

When Gigen arrived home, he began to take his clothes off, and get ready for a shower. When he had taken his shirt off, he noticed something brown on it. "That's not chocolate." He tossed the shirt to the floor, and began to take the rest of his clothes off, noticing brown smudges on most of his clothes. "Ugh! That's disgusting. Not only was I walking around covered in crap, but I got smashed last night, and can't remember what happened. My life sucks."

He turned the water on, and waited for it to get warm before stepping in, and closing the shower's door. It was a nice shower, having shower heads in the front, back, and sides. He stood in the shower just thinking for what seemed like hours, his mind never straying too far from Aiko.

_______________

Hidoi held up the packet he had just found, amazed, yet unpleasantly surprised by what information it held. He packed it back into the envelope he had gotten it from, and tucked it into a bag. He rushed out of his apartment, his mind set on finding Gin. He knew she had a mission today, but he was going to try and catch her before she left.

He ran through the Village, thinking of places where she might be. He ran to the Hokage's Mansion, but she wasn't there. He ran to a near by restaurant, but she wasn't their either. He started to run towards the Village enter when he ran into Gaki. "Hey, you seen Gin around?" "Um, yea. She was heading towards the Main Gate about 20 minutes ago, why?" Hidoi looked down at his feet in disappointment. "I had something I needed to tell her about Zen." Gaki seemed to perk up upon hearing this. "What kind of something?" Hidoi could tell Gaki was worried, so he motioned for him to follow.

The two sat down for lunch at a small cafe near by, and ordered. When the waitress had left, Hidoi pulled the envelope from his bag, and pushed it to Gaki. "Read it." Gaki opened the envelope, and pulled out the set of papers. "Make sure to cover them if someone comes by, we can't let anyone we don't know or trust see, it's too risky." Gaki nodded his head, and began to read through the packet.

Sabra Kusabana
08-17-2009, 08:27 AM
As the waitress returned the ex-hyuuga slid the papers back inside the packet. He thanked her and as she left the other chunin noticed the boy turn toward the food, but his eyes did not focus, or rather they were not focused there. The teen's byakugan had been turned on, and he was reading right thru the table and the envelope while eating as if nothing was happening. Gaki smirked over at the other boy. "This is most interesting... I'm sure Zen would have a world of words for his father if he knew this was all about a grudge."

Hidoi nodded to him as the dark haired teen passed the envelope to him again under the table. "Gin's long gone by now. If you want to deliever this to anyone it should be her twin or Zen... I imagine Kin will be at the academy till late, she usually stays there a while with her students. Both of my cousins are very through in what they do, and she's more then willing to take time on people to teacher them properly." He explained while relaxing back into the seat. He fished out his wallet and laid down a share of the ticket while he considered what he'd learned.

____

Zen followed along behind the woman that had his hand. He had only bought so much time at the school. Now she was insistant on him showing her to all the shops in town, which translated to him being drug along while she browsed. Hana seemed completely unaware of how much he hated this. They were entering a dress shop when the nin spotted someone who might just be able to save him. He pulled free of the woman's hold and went for his friend.

"Itsuki, how is the order I made going?" Zen asked while approaching the man who was bent over a bin with many rolls of cloth. The glasses wearer smiled up at him. "Quite well, I'll have it done soon." Hana wrapped her arms around the archer as she came to them. "Order?" "Yes..." "Something for me?" The teen rolled his eyes. "No." The chocolate haired woman huffed, "Who then?" she demanded. Zen looked to the older man with a pleading gaze, it said with no words 'help me'.
