I say Team Gai, Lee and Neji are too fast for Team Asuma to hit, and Tenten can easily distract them while Lee and Neji hit.

Neji's Gentle Fist can stop chakra flow, and since Choji's the only one with powerful taijutsu, that pretty much sux for them. Also, none of them have a counter for Hidden Lotus, and 64 Palms could be devastating for Team Asuma.

strategy like his only works when there is a somewhat comparable strength.... also them strategies normally entail them outnumbering the other faction and normally barely work. I mean just like at Hidan and kakuzu .... they still lost and asuma died... Also Neji is an good strategist as well. this just isn't winnable :/...its like saying shika could beat Pain solo xD

maybe. but a good strategist, tactician for this matter makes a plan according to the actual force or power that he has on his side and that of the foe. with kakuzu and hidan, what shikamaru lacked was better knowledge about the two. but with team gai, i think he knows the team too well. so he will come up with a great plan and eventually defeat gai's team...teehee...

if he uses those pills, they will have a better chance at winning but what if it gets to the point when he has to use the red pill? (shikamaru would use his shadow strangle jutsu to paralyze him and make him drop it lol, then smack him) what if lee uses is gates?

well Team Asuma I guess, Choji could hold them down, while Shikamaru gets shadow possession on one, and hits the other one using that one, and tenten, they could just dodge the weapons, and Ino could heal them, if they get hurt, so I say Team Asuma, because of Shikamaru.

Im voting for team gai. i have to admit tho that shikimaru would give them a run for their money. he took out an akatsuki all by himself. he planned it out and made it all come into play. Shiki might be able to pull this off if he had time to think about it.

Lee only has Speed on his side he isn't going to be going all Lotus fighting his friends, and he is over competitive. Choji could stand a chance with his body expansion jutsu and Shikamaru could play him like a fiddle. Neji is a defensive fighter so he would do little eye trick and stand in place, and he has to face three long range attackers as well as a combat genius.

lol lol lol!!! i love that "eat her alive" part but would choji do such a thiing? and the other psrts were good and stuff but neji could also use his 64 palms technique and if its dark shikamarus powers are useless. (unless of course they find a light or use some kind of fire technique to give everyone shadows

If it is dark then his technique is perfect, but I am sure he has some sort of solution for that, after his fight with Temari something tells me Shikamaru carries a lot of unusual Ninja Tools
