So I just download the first four Shippuden episodes off of itunes and I have to say that I am very dissapointed with their voices. Just think their is a two year gap between the original Naruto and Naruto shippuden and their voices still haven't matured at all. Ya you can say that their bodies have changed but adolecence changes the voice also not just the body.

You know I thought as kids the voices don't fit (they all sounded too old)
but now they fit more because they are older.

I think their voices from the original Naruto were fine.

I'm not saying I don't like the voices from the original.
But I don't think most 12 years old sound that old.
The voices fit better when they're 15 and older.

just another reason why dub is failness?

I thought that the voices sounded too old for the first Naruto, but they should sound more mature in the Naruto Shippuden series...

The only character that sounded more mature was Sasuke's

I don't know what you guys are hearing but they have matured. But it's not supposed to be that deep it's only 2 years 15 year olds don't have super deep voices. And now we got people coming here to bash the dub.

what does it matter to you how we watch it. Can you keep your biased opinion to yourself please.

I thought that the dub was okay overall. I mean, Naruto and Sakura both sounded like they matured (well, not dialogue-wise, with Sakura and her infamous use of the word "doofus").
I thought if anyone sounded exactly the same, it was Sasuke; but I don't think they needed to have changed Sasuke's voice, because it still fit his character.
And as far as Deidara and Sasori's Hiruko voices go, I liked Deidara's voice better with Roger Craig Smith. He sounds a bit less...flamboyant...while still having psychotic undertones in his voice. And Sasori's Hiruko voice, I thought that it simply fit.
Of course, all of the voices can be improved upon (except for Kakashi's), but I think that most of us were expecting trash. I was quite relieved by the dub.

It's not really dub-bashing.
I still like the dub a lot.
I like it more than the Japanese-dub.
It's called critiquing.

I have to disagree with you. I thought there was a pretty noticeable difference in their voices, especially during the flashback.

I heard a very faint difference but if anyone wants to watch the episodes without paying for them go to ;);););););););).com they are in english

Exactly.

And with characters like Sasuke, Shikamaru... Their voices aren't really going to change because their voices were deep to begin with.

I think that when they get to Hidan and Kakuzu, they'll have trouble. because doesn't Hidan say f**k every two seconds?

I like the dub. I've seen the Shippuden episodes, but I like to watch things in Japanese and see how they translate things in the dub. I must say, I find Kakashi's voice funny. It's weird to hear so much emotion in his voice. But, it's fun.

mrsticky005

Even if the voices do or don't sound more "mature"
I think it's fair to say that since the early episodes
they have come a long way in improved quality.

Anyone else think Haku was dubbed pretty badly?

Maile Flannegan is a much better actress for Naruto now.
