What would of happened if...

What would of happened if Kakuzu joined in the Asuma and Shikamaru vs Hidan fight from the beginning, would Asuma's whole team die? I am just getting some suggestions, I personally think that Asuma would die from Hidan while Kakuzu distracts Shikamaru, Izumo, and Kotetsu, thoughts?

Hidan and Kakuzu would're killed them all and have time to barbecue their guts before the reinforcements could even arrive. Not even Shikamaru can formulate a strategy that fast.

Since Shikamaru and Asuma didn't have any prior knowledge (example: second fight against the Akatsuki duo), they probably would have died easily. In fact, it's probably a good thing Kakuzu didn't involve himself for the Leaf team's sake.
