Ehh, I never liked the Mocha story all that much, but it was a nice ending to it.

Now then, Luffy did a Batman-esque interrogation and is now going to look for Caesar, with Shenron around his neck.

4/5

Though I'm not really a Batman fan, this was a good summary of the chapter ending, which was awesome if I may add.

Mocha's sacrifice was great though. For being such a new character, she really made a name for herself quickly and heroically. Even as a kid, she's pretty awesome.

And Sanji leading the parade of Marines. The gray area was awesome. I laughed.

I honestly don't care what happens to the kids. I just want Luffy to fight someone already e.e

Storytelling is more than just fights and action.

stories build up anticipation to the epic fights

I'm here for the epic fights too. Storytelling is just a bonus.

Seriously?

Fights need storytelling otherwise it'd be just unneccessary violence especially in Manga.

Devroux

Seriously. While the storytelling in One Piece is fantastic compared to other things I've read and watched, the fights are even better than others. I'm more driven to like an anime with more action than a better story, which is why everything I watch is combat based.

I like storytelling way more than action. This story in Punk Hazard, however, doesn't really interest me.

the sad stories of each character's past make u feel even more connected with the crew. and the show overall. feels as if u are really there with them.

yea..punk hazard is ok..only. but still good

Personally I love punk hazard for a few reasons:

1. I don't expect it to be awesome so soon after marineford, yet I still expect more than what we got in the east blue. So far it's a lively comical arc that's building up the story which will eventually lead to the first encounter with a hostile yonko. So yea I'm digging the slow build and return of the usual strawhat antics, "as opposed to the childish look how much stronger we are provado" at fishman island.

From the " Island disease" ussop has to luffy outrightly asking Law if he was going to betray him(After robin said he probably will), is just awesome. xD

2. Caesar has really made this an interesting arc in that he's not very strong when it counts, but his ability to kill you from anywhere on the island and manic disposition is thoroughly entertaining.

3. Let's not forget the mention of vegapunk, who thus far has just been a genius scientist up until now.

tl;dr: Reunion of the sabody supernovas + an alliance, war with a yonko(guessing big mam), return to vintage strawhat antics, and a different sort of villian.

Plus the kid thing and the farting samurai were bonus :3

Caesar is the biggest OP villain yet.

This chapter proved it again even if indirectly.
We have:
Caesar kidnapping kids.
Caesar causing PH.
Caesar using kids as guinea pigs.
Caesar drugging kids.
Caesar laughing at their deaths.
Caesar crushing bonds.
Caesar crushing dreams and hopes.
Caesar lying to them.
Caesar feeding kids to dragons.
Caesar enjoying this whole mess.
Now wants to gas everyone.

IMO even worse than Spamdam.
Well no wonder, this whole Arc seems to be based on Mengele.

Also, I think PH is a pretty decent arc and is one of the better arcs in the series.

How could you compare spandam to caesar? It'd be like comparing enel to lucci. I just don't see how they're relate-able other than being antagonist.

Vivi

Because both are obvious scumbags and Spamdam was regarded by the majority of fans as the biggest pile of (bleep) that Oda created and was a textbook villain no matter if he was weak, his actions speak more than enough.

Not arguing that they both aren't scumbags, but spandam's idiotic time wasting antics sort of defined enies lobby. Such a weak guy who couldn't even lift robin off the ground almost succeeded where the strongest villians failed(excluding akoji who could have turned her in ages ago). The very fact that this idiot was one step away from winning made him like the top 5 in my books.

As for caesar, I really like the mad scientist sort of thing. It's just, him basically being helpless in a fight against luffy just sort of downplays him. By himself caesar can't really hold his own as a memorable villian, but in combination with all of punk hazard's awesomeness, he's a cool side show.

Not sure by can't hold his own as villain seeing that he feeds kids to dragons.

Did you not see him justify killing 6000 of his own men and almost suceed in kidnapping robbin?

There was also using CP9 as scapegoats for his failure at Enies Lobby.

But nonetheless, Caesar >

Guy's just evil. He's already used his own men as experiments/test subjects.

Quantity =/= Quality

You have what you stated, yet Caesar is drugging kids and feeding them to dragons after experimenting on them loling with a big smile which is IMO far worse.

The fact that this guy has committed entire genocides, and are still planning on doing them, along with his occasional side dish of experimenting on kids until they collapse and die out from experimentation or drug overdose like with Mocha instantly easily puts him at the top of the One Piece villain list.

Anonymous soldiers, anonymous children. The soldiers were concious while the children were most likely out of thier minds. so there's a possibilty they weren't even aware of their being dragon chow.

Drugging kidnapped children is subjectively as clever as the threat of extracting Robins mind to obtain the knowledge needed to ressurect pluton.
