View Full Version : Give users the ability to decide to show or not show reputation.

I think this should be added. Thoughts?
Why give users a way to remove integral parts of the forum? It's like letting users not showing their post count or join date; there are no benefits from doing it.

This a good idea for people who could care less about rep. I'm in.

Like make it an option to show rep was from you, or it always shows your name regardless?
I always type out my name with good and bad rep, but I see the point of view of the people that hide it.

This is different, rep is actually an indicator of something. In essence, you're suggesting we give users with bad rep a way to hide the fact that they have bad rep.

I can't think of a reason for why people shouldn't be able to hide their rep and at the same time I can't think of a reason why they should. Especially since it doesn't matter, why would anyone go through the trouble of changing the forum for something so inconsequential?
I have no technical knowledge of the forum, so enabling this could be easy as flipping a switch or difficult as hell. That's just my spare change on the subject

I'm so neutral on this. Just seems like something that really doesn't matter. Not enough people really seem to care, so there's no upside to it either. If they really have a good reason to turn it off, then let them PM a Quasi and see if they can get it done.
