How did Tobi get MS?

More likely than not, assuming Tobi is Obito, he got the Mangekyō Sharingan the same way Kakashi did; by feeling awful about the situation he was in...believing his friends were dead.

Obito probably killed Rin, which in turn activated his MS. Kakashi, probably blamed Rin's death on himself, and in turn, activated his MS.
