Elemental Kekkei Genkai's still hold the properties of the 2 elements that make the new Element.

If Explosion release is weak against only 1 of its weaknesses, One of them being Lightning and the other being some other unknown element then the opposite should be true. Only one of the Kekkei Genkai's elements are needed to be effective against a standard element. In this case Plasma vs Earth.

The Problem with this scenario is that Plasma release consists of Lightning and Water Styles. That would cancel out the super effective traits of the lightning style (Excuse my Pokemon reference)

Now it all comes down to the actual abilities of the Ninja and Jutsu's themselves. Darui showing much better feats and a multitude of abilities. Kitsuchi showing only a few offensive techniques and a defensive one.

I think Darui takes this Mid to low difficulty.

Kitsuchi is far better off at being a long range field altering type of a tactician if not a strategist.

I still don't see how Darui survives Mountain Sandwich-his only chance is if he engages Kitsuchi before he can use the tech, although I guess it would be pretty OOC for Kitsuchi to use his best technique right off the bat.

Yeah, I guess Darui wins, Kitsuchi's tough though so it wouldn't be easy.
He intercepted an attack from 6-tailed Ginkaku so he's at least as fast as Darui and has a lot of stamina as well with all of the large scale Earth techs he used on the first day of the war.

Even if he was caught and went flying into the air he can still attack from above. Who knows how high he will go without help. Dauri can just attack from the sky

I love Darui but I think everyone is counting Kitsuchi out too easily. He can survive Laser Circus by creating that Earth Bunker he used when Gedo Mazo arrived. Darui is a skilled kenjutsu user but Kitsuchi is physically stronger and therefore dangerous to approach in close combat. Plus we haven't seen enough character development from the two to determine who's better at taijutsu. Darui is most likely faster so he'll have to use that to his advantage otherwise Kitsuchi's mountain crusher is one of the largest scale techniques we've seen in the show, bigger than any bijuu and the Gedo Statue. Darui has no way to survive that kind of move.
