I don't know where Oda's going with that Df. It would be interesting to see one of the crew eat it.

Smiley was gas to begin with and had already eaten a DF before. It's been said that if you eat more than one, you die, so maybe the cloud of gas is just his death?

I like how Law is still chained up and telling them to begin their counter-attack. And making sure they know not to screw up. :lol:

That's an idea I suppose.

SO you think it is a devi's fruit then? But why did it look like a regular apple then change? Some sorta reaction? A lab made Devil Fruit?

The swirls on them sure make me think so. The appearance could have just been something done by Ceasar. The fact that they all looked the same make it possible that they were lab-made, since only one blooms every 10 years or whatever.

It could have either been a DF, or just showing that the apples are mutating.

Seemed like the apples turned into devil fruits or something..

Monet most definitely.
Fits her to help the Strawhats behind Vergo and CCs backs as she had done so multiple times before.
And when Chopper was hiding we saw Vergo and CC with the Prisoners but Monet was nowhere to be found.

That is highly unlikely.
Oda has shown Vergo and CC to be standing in front of the cage with Monet not being seen and the former 2 focusing on the prisoners.
Meanwhile Chopper is thrown a note from someone inside the room.

However if you refer to Joining the Strawhats:
Helping the strawhats is one thing.
Its another to be a Harpy working as a scout for CC and Vergo yet not doing her Job by reporting seeing them multiple times or the Strawhats having defeated the Dragon and Brownbeard OR being noted about a group of Prisoners rampaging yet still refusing to report it until CC questioned her whereabouts and excusing it by "I forgot".
Adding:
Ships Positions where Scouts/Lookouts are positioned on top masts and the very top Mast which is called a Crows Nest which the Sunny has as well.All the while, being a birdlike person acting as Scout.
Thus, the SH's gain another position filled.
The Lookout.

I doubt there is another harpy.

Anyway back to the more intriguing topic, I think it makes sense now. THe candy was actually bait. The "apple" is what the slime was meant to "eat."

It was contained in the broken sled, which was intentionally left there even if the the flunkies thought it was to carry them back. Don't know what ourl have happened if one of them ate an apple though. :lol:

Ceasar made it clear that the bait was the candy...

It seems like Smiley died and was reborn into the frog gas creature, then by dying he lost his Df power and it reapperared in one of the nearby apples......so creating a Devil Fruit......

Ceasar probably knew this would happen and left the apples there for this reason, so he would be abble to give it to some ally or sell it for a high price.
