Overall I enjoyed this chapter mainly because Tobi finally got somewhat injured and we are getting closer and closer to seeing whats under that mask. Oh btw Tobi is Iruka nuff said ;P

Yes, it was Naruto's Rasengan. Remember hyperspace in Babylon 5? Think of Kamui as "hyperspace" or possibly a wormhole diminision. Kakashi made Naruto's Rasengan disappear and reappear in a slightly different location as soon as Tobi was solid again. Its basically the same trick that Minato used but in a slightly different way.

Anyone consider that Tobi's mask may not be a mask at all? Just like the Gedo is a representation of the Ten-Tails, Tobi may be a representation of Madara and the Mask may be his actual face that regenerates and changes designs.

Kakashi can't keep Kumai up. We don't know the limits of his Mangekyō Sharingan but its pretty clear that, being a non-Uchiha, he's going to get knackered pretty quick.
Its taken three Ninja to do what the 4th Hokage did, and they've only landed one Rasengan on Tobi. Tobi's no chump and, now that they've revealed their hand, they likely won't be able to do it again.
Tobi's got a penchant for surviving things. He took a direct Minato Rasengan and lived, granted his hands got all melty, but given that Minato was the progenitor of the Rasengan; its likely that it was more potent than Naruto's.
A more effective solution might be, given that Minato was supposed to be an expert in Fūinjutsu, and both Naruto (trained in this as well under Jiraiya) and Minato's student Kakashi are familiar with it; would be for one of them to locate the original Fūinjutsu marker tag Minato left on Tobi during their fight 16 years ago (assuming its still there) and capitolize on it.

You have good arguments but i dont think the seal is steal in Tobis body because Minato is dead but it isnt impossible xD
But Naruto rasengan was in KCM and i think its more powerful than the normal ones o.o
They should try to do the same thing but with a BijuuDama to obliterate Tobi haha

I wouldn't really look at it that way, what gave Minato the advantage against Tobi was that Tobi didn't know their was a level 2 of the FTG technique, not to mention Tobi is stronger now than he was then, & we seen Naruto can move fast if need be. Also about Minato's Rasengan being more potent than Naruto's, who knows, but Minato had never been the powerful type like Naruto is, & Naruto do have other levels of Rasengans still. The point of that attack was to prove Kakashi's theory right, now Tobi is going have a harder time with them.

Yes, but as clever as Tobi has been, you have to imagine that he wouldn't base his entire attack around nobody figuring out his jutsu. Then again, it may have been up until now; nobody had the means.

Yeah, naruto could distract tobi with a rasengan, while Bee makes a Bijuu dama and then Kakashi teleportates it with kamui ^^

Kishi completly bungled the kunai bit. Let's go back to the last chapter. First of all, the kunai travels through Tobi's head (notice it is almost perpendicular to his head), and then Tobi kicks it..WAIT ONE MINUTE

First of all, how did Tobi get his foot by his head; the kunai is not heading towards his foot at all(again perpendicular to Tobi's head). And the kick is bending of Tobi's knee, not anywhere near Tobi's head. Secondly, how can Tobi kick the kunai, it's lightning chakra enfused. Yet, nothing happens to Tobi's foot. Okaaaay.

But doesn't stop here. Naruto is punching Tobi's face, the kunai is heading towards Naruto; we can tell this because of the location of the kunai relative to the kurama arm. Kakashi uses kamui on it, and Tobi gets a scratch on his mask. But the kunai is nowhere near Tobi nor are they moving towards each other(Kunai towards Naruto, Tobi moving down), shouldn't matter that they may be in the same dimension elsewhere; there is still presumably the same Cartesian separation. Otherwise, the entirity of Tobi should be effected.

Probably because now he use this axe/fan weapon of Madara. It probably is some sort of Uchiha ritual weapon (uchiha symbol is also a fan). It might helps using Fire techniques (and fire is uchiha element) as the wind strengthen fire.

Considering we have never seen Kakashi even try to bring something back that he has sent away, I'm hoping it is the second option.

If it is the first theory than this fight will get harder from this point on, as they have lost the element of surprise. Tobi can just avoid rematerializing whenever they come in for a close range attack like that. He already demonstrated he is smart enough to do that when he fought Danzo's henchmen.

If on the other hand Kamui sent Rasengan to the same place that Tobi phased his body to (likely that dimension he sent Sasuke and Karin during the Kage Summit), it means he has nowhere to run. If he stays in normal space he has to deal with Guy and Naruto, if he tries to evade into the other dimension Kakashi will be ready to take shots at him with random attacks.

when he absorbed that nail there also was nothing. I think it depends on how big is object and how accurate want's to be Kakashi (he had problems with hitting Deidara, but now he could absorb Kunai)

as for how Tobi is getting hit. we don't know the physics of the other dimension. could be anything sent there gets sent to the same location but in different dircetions. a kunai chest high going at Naruto scratches Tobies mask. a rasengan on Tobi's left side catches him on his right side. could also be the attack is attracted to Tobi as he is a dimensional focus. he phases and the attack is Kamui'd, it than is drawn to Tobi in the other dimension. like a magnet.

Defintely the second case becasue Kakashi sure didn't bring the kunai back.

Wheter it works or not depends on how often Kakashi can use Kamui. CLearly his stamina is much increaed since the Pain invasion where two tiny ones knocked him out.
The one use on Gedo's head was huge.
Possible Kakshi could make one big enough for five beast bombs, even if that would kill him.

But you are right, I think Tobi is gonna retreat soon. Or at least behind the Uchiha barrier thinger he used on the Gedo.

Exactly, because when he is phasing, he puts his body into another dimension, since Kakashi sent the Kunai to the same dimension where Tobi's actula body is at, the kunai scratched him.

Kakashi says he has an idea and your theory supports that, but it still can't happen. The mark is on the left side of his mask, where the dagger would have exited his head. Sounds like you are going by the close up. page 18 top left and middle right show the kunai travels parallel to the concentric rings on the mask. That means side to side. There is no back left or the path wouldn't be parallel.

Yes, I was associating this to the inconsistent point of view. He doesn't see the scratch in real time, he sees it in a flashback, and the first time he remembers noticing was just before the punch landed. I did not take this as literal. You do and others, perhaps I should. The main thing I just noticed, is that I can't make out the 3 far left panels (top mid, bottom) on page 19. Went to 3 sites, all mangapanda scans. Same thing.

However, why did the kamui reverse course, but not the rasengan.? That is totally against what everyone is saying about the mirroring affect of kamui. The rasengan kept going in the same direction. And when Tobi turned/naruto ran into him, the rasengan hit tobi's far side shoulder.

Rasengan never hits with this kunai/kamui interpretation.

I don't think it's what your saying that he realized. I think he realized that both he and Tobi can control mass, and Tobi not just negated the use of kamui directly on his own body, he at range cancelled kakashi's kamui on the gedo. That is how he realized that he and Tobi use the same jutsu.

And than he guessed, "hey what if where the kunai went is where Tobi's mass goes to." That's why he wanted to try something.

And that is not what kakashi meant. The point of showing kamui on the gedo and then the kamui cancelled is kakashi realizing that kamui is related to Tobi, not the intangibility is the same as Tobi's teleport.
