Legit strength I mean, not kayfabe.
List the Top 5 or Top 10 (or however many you want) most powerful guys and gals of wrestling.
So far I've got:
Mark Henry
Bill Kazmaier
Ken Patera
And then some others. I dunno who comes next. Lesnar, Norton, Adams, so many choices.
For the gals...
1. Nicole Bass
2. Chyna
And then again the rest. I dunno who comes next. I've heard some very impressive things like a lady named Sara Del Rey doing her finisher on the 250+ Awesome Kong. Kong herself must be pretty high up there.
There is also Asya from WCW.
those aren't even tits man ;~; /scarred
Thighs that could pop your head off and could do this o the 220 Eddie Guerrero.

I'd say she's at least in the Top 10 from what I know.

I'd have to say Bruno Sammartino, Andre' the Giant, Mark Henry and as you said Ken Patera
Samartino lifted and pinned a six hundred lb wrestler who was known for being able to lift cows and stuff- When he was younger and desperate also wrestled an Orangutan for about an hour (guy was exhausted and swollen and a mess but considering how powerful those guys are)
Hulk Hogan said if Andre posted up no one could slam him..he got drunk and flipped a dodge
Patera and Saito more or less busted up a McDonald's when they trolled them
and Mark Henry won legit world strongest competitions

Steve Austin, and that's the bottom line, 'cause Stone Cold said so. :pek
I remember Lesnar stating that he was pretty much hopeless in an arm wrestling match against Kane, saying it was like trying to push a tree down with a single arm.
And how legit is Goldberg jackhammering Big Show or Mark henry?

it's legit in that he is that strong, that with Show not resisting he can do that..
that being said in a shoot back stage he lost to Jericho and William Regal Shooting on him had him basically looking horrible (also why Regal got fired from WCW)

Kia Stevens (Kharma) would be top 5 women for sure
Yeah but where is the fun in debating by stating the downright obvious?XD

Hey now, Asys is cool.
If you want real horror, do a Google Image search for "Nicole Bass".

Kong is kinda like the Andre of women's wrestling. By virtue of her size (about 6 feet, pushing 300 pounds) and build, people tend to assume she's really strong. It's not unwarranted from what I hear. I don't know of any actaul weightlifting feats for her though.
I certainly wouldn't put her above Chyna or Bass but I would give her the benefit of he doubt on being really powerful.

How far would Andre the Giant go? Top tier?

It's hard to say. Andre is wrapped up in myths which are wrapped up in legends which are wrapped up in fables.
I would say that he was probably one of the strongest ever but he wasn't a real power lifter. Like Big Show, his strength was mostly natural. As such I doubt he could lift as much as your real powerhouses who trained.

I'm pretty sure Sammartino remains the strongest pro wrestler..

You probably shouldn't. I was just attempting to get vengeance since you removed my poor Asya. :(
Anyway:

A great example of your strength, and a very memorable point in your career was when you were in the NWA and faced another popular tag team, The Warlord and The Barbarian, in a bench-press contest.
Animal: That was legit weight. We never used wooden plates or anything. We wanted it to be real. The night before, Warlord landed on my head in a match and my eye literally popped out of my head and went back in too far and ended up blowing out my sinus. I had a skull and cheekbone fracture. But the bench press contest was scheduled in Greensboro, North Carolina, the next day. So here I was the night before with a broken eye. I painted over my swollen face and did the bench-press contest. I did a 565 bench with my eye all messed up. Imagine that, with all the pressure building up in my head with that lift. If my eye wasn't messed up, I'd have done 610. We beat them in the contest . . . When you have 18,000 people screaming and cheering for you, your body does things that your mind doesn't understand. Guys were genuinely afraid of us.
So what were some of your best lifts of all time?
Animal: I did a 610 bench. I deadlifted 740. I got 765 on the squat. And I didn't have any of the equipment that the powerlifters have today. Just wraps and a belt.
So how big were you in those days?
Animal: I was 6'2". At my heaviest, I was 320. At one time, the WWE wanted records on everybody. Vince McMahon wanted everybody's measurements. I had 24-inch arms. I had the biggest arms in the territory, and that drove Warlord crazy because he was a big guy. He was like 340. My arm was a half-inch bigger than his.\
The Warlord was said to be the strongest guy in the WWF back when Roidmania was runnin' wild. I am impressed.
