Everything has its place. I'm sure there's some corner of the CB world where any type of marriage is all well and good, but leave my damn superheroes out of the it.

Bad enough that you turn a guy that's supposed to have two kids and a long string of hot alien chicks on his hit list gay, but you go and throw it in my face. Nerdrage!!!!

I don't mind gay characters. Teen Titans' Bunker is a favorite of mine. But for the love of Satan, this is just a publicity stunt.

Also is this the right section? :hmm

they don't want the kids anymore despite the effort they made by bringing back Jade in Blackest Night

What does Jade have to do with kids?

Comics are claimed to be a reflection of things going on in society. So is it needed? no. Is it understandable why they are doing it? Yes.

My only real problem is the DC decided to make a classic character suddenly decide he is gay. They should have just created a whole new character like they did with Batwoman instead of changing a character and exiling fans of that character.

I could truly care less (though when they start making though my dad GA green lantern comics will be worth more). But it's so stupid, why not just make a new character for this. Why make an all ready straight super hero with a girlfriend and be like "Oh yea I lied to you for years on end! But I'm gay!"

Eh, it's whatever, really. What's more interesting is the incest going on between Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

Idk if you guys know this, but basically:

That GL is like, idk w/e isn't the regular Earth or something. Before, he was older and had a gay son apparently(?) but in the reboot they're making him younger, so he can't have a grown son. That's why they're making him gay now.

I mean, all well and good, but I don't really see the point lol

And Northstar has pretty much always been gay, no? That's what I thought, but I'm by no means an avid comic book reader.

Anyways, I don't understand the "does this subject belong in the comic book world" thing. I mean, there are plenty of gay characters, and as far as I know, there are plenty of marriages. Sure, this one with Northstar is between two guys, but what's the big deal?

Not always, but for a fairly long time. They tried retconning it a few times but it never stuck.

it appears no one cares about the marvel thing here and everyone seems to be upset about the Green Lantern thing

That is because Gay Marriage isn't a big issue with most of us. I mean good for them, but who cares?

Most of us are just concerned about them changing an established character.

All relationship have their place in the comic book world, including gay relationships. Ever read the Young Avengers? Billy and Teddy have a sweet, caring relationship and I think it's great to show that all kinds of love can happen, even among super heroes.
