I liked ponyo.. =/ But my favorite is Howl's Moving Castle. However The Secret World of Arrietty was good too.

What's Howl's Moving Castle about?

It's about a young girl that gets a curse put on her so that she's an old lady, and she travels with this wizard names "Howl" who's a bird like thing who's gotta moving castle powerd by a fire named calcifer. :3

That was the worst explanation ever, because I saw it agers ago.

It's about two 13 year olds who start a journey to fight a castle in the sky while being chased by the army, and some air pirates or something.
Princess Mononoke
About gods and stuff, a boy named ashitaka has a curse bestowed on him that will eventually kill him. The only way he can lift the curse is if he see's through "eyes unclouded by hatred".
Howl's moving castle
A girl named Sophie has a witch put a curse on her which makes her old, she meets a wizard named Howl who is mysterious and can transform into a bird like creature (Much like Haku and the dragon) I can't remember much about this.
The Secret world of Arrietty
A "Borrower's" Job is to take things from humans houses that they don't miss, for example tissue and sugar cubes. One day Arrietty is spotted by a boy named Shou.
Ponyo
Crazy story. A boy called Sasuke finds a strange looking fish and names her "Ponyo". Ponyo wants to become a human (Much like the little mermaid in some cases) but her father is searching for her on the surface and causes some natural desasters.
Grave of the fireflies (It's so sad ;~; )
Simply about a 14 year old boy named Seita and his 4 year old sister, Setsuko. It takes place near the end of WW2 in Japan and it's about how they survive.
Kiki's delivery service
Kiki is 13 and now she is ready to live 1 year on her own as tradition for a witch - Kiki chooses to live in the city. The film is about a delivery job she chooses to take where her witch skill will come in handy.
Nausicaa: Of the valley of the wind.
Uh, about a girl names Nausicaa and she's....uh.. it's too complicated for me to explain this early in the morning..
The cat returns
A girl gets taken into a world of cats, and is told to marry the prince (Who is a cat...meow) Slowly she is starting to transform into a cat herself, she needs to try and get out of the cat world before she is fully a cat, and will have to marry the prince.
My neighbour Totoro

Pompoko
A bunch of Raccoons that can morph into anything with the training. In the film, all these Raccoons are trying to get their own back on the humans who are digging up their land.
Tales of earthsea
A 17 Year old boy named Aron has this strange..I dunno, he has this side of him that makes him a killer. He's a prince, theres a bad wizard, and This movie started good, but wasn't really all that good because the movie was hogged by the farm. ( If you've seen it, you'll know what I mean....I hope)
Whisper of the heart
Just about a girl and her friends love life, and her love life.. she goes round to people houses lots... and lots...
She writes songs but they aren't that good..

And then ones I haven't seen, but might be good are:

From Up on Poppy hill (The newest one, but It's only In Japanese (I think)
Ocean waves
Only Yesterday
